Nothing beats those misty, cold and crisp, perfectly still autumn mornings - you just stand quietly on the back of the boat so you don't spoil it somehow - magical.
Have to greatly agree with that comment, The drone footage dose very much compliment your videos, but as has been stated ,not to much it's all to easy to over do it.. Anyway I think that you guys have a great layout just the way it is . Please keep it up. Thanks again
We were on the K and A the same time as you. In fact I can remember seeing your boat as I remember the blacked out name. I now know why it’s blacked out. I have watched your videos from the start and have really enjoyed them. I love the dogs. We had 3 dogs on our boat and it was nuts. They didn’t go in the canal, we got them a life jackets just in case. Thanks for sharing your boating life. Please keeping going with the vides. 😁
Just started watching your channel about two weeks ago, absolutely love you both ! Up to episode 25 .... I feel like I'm watching my favorite aunt and uncle... I look forward every morning to catch an episode with my breakfast before work.... A perfect start to my day..... Thank you both very much......
Great video as usual! :) You two are so correct about the canals. People seem to think they are a safe haven but if not treated with respect can be a deadly place to be. The canals are a wonderfull place to be apart of but so easily they can bite you on the bum lol :) Fran and Rich you two look so much healthier and happier over the last couple of months its good to see :)
Lovely Vlog. Not normally a fan of too much chatty stuff, but your presentation style and the fact you’re such a lovely couple makes it most watchable! We hope one day you chug up to where we’re moored and we accidentally run into you in a Pub and start chatting. I suspect we would frequent the Towpath hostelries more often 😉. Keep living the dream - we are just about to move on full time ourselves. Xxxxx MnM
Hi Fran and Rich. Thank you for another brilliant episode. Beautiful scenery as always. Autumn is gorgeous. My second favourite season after spring. The colours of autumn on the canal, the mirror-like reflection on the still water, it’s very hard to beat. I’m glad to see you’re prepping for winter. How often does the fuel boat come along? Congrats on getting rid of your car. Another expense you really don’t need. Maybe some more money for the pub? 😀 Please take care on the cut and keep up the great job. I love each and every episode. Still off work after my knee surgery and your vlogs cheer me up. 👍
wow love the drone footage ! gives a great incite to your travels - I used to travel the length and breath of the UK when i was working did not appreciate the beauty of the UK till now :)
Lovely video. There was some beautiful photography in this episode but how sad to hear about the gentleman passing away on his boat. You were right to remind everyone to take care because I think we can become too relaxed and take risks. I will look at your Etsy account because I always think your curtains look beautiful when you film inside the boat. Thank you.
Thanks you two. Nothing like a nice relaxing mid morning coffee watching you both. Very sad about the boater who died. Do let us know when you end up bringing the boat to Nottingham. It would be lovely to meet up for a coffee.
Hi great vlog as usual. You were talking knowing each other's location. We have a couple of hand held radios with ear speaker to talk when we set locks and walking along the towpath. We always use them to keep a ear on each other, oh and chat about the people we see along the way. Can you say a bit more regarding the eshop? Is it as we would like to pick your brains on selling from the boat. Enjoy your cruise on the k and a Steve nb hydeaway
With no car and the need to do your shopping get one of those folding shopping carts with wheels ... they are light and cheap, it will save your back and won't take up much room on your boat.
I see an off-road capable shopping trolley in your near future. ;o) That mooring spot sure looked beautiful. A mirror flat canal in autumn is a joy to behold, it really is. All the best.
Hi guys Love your videos. Just noticed your solar panel are laying on the wires . Might pay the shift them or they will chafe through and cause you all sorts of problems . Cheers from NZ
Floating Our Boat No worries. Happy tootling along or should that be chugging ? Always looking forward to your next vlog. Stay safe and keep warm as I have heard the UK is in for a very cold winter!
Some lovely footage, there. The ice, in the morning, is a taste of things to come, but I love autumn -' Mists and mellow fruitfulness' - and all that. Wherever you go you're bound to encounter a few unhappy people, whose sole purpose is to make you unhappy, too. But, we just have to feel sorry for them and enjoy the other 99% of folks we meet along the way. Good pubs are lovely places and ought to be visited wherever they appear. ;) Happy cruising. x
Hey rich ,I just watched a doc on Mr spencer. His town and his art seem to be so intertwined there are the same. Should be a great trip ,give your self time to take the town in .it seemed to be very important to him. All the best to you both.
Thanks for another great video. Lovely autumn cruising. I especially like the drone shots and as Albert has questioned it would be useful to hear a bit more about the drone and how and where you fly it. I've built them in the past and had DJI stuff, all sold but considering getting another so would be interested in your thoughts. Stay safe and enjoy a quieter cut.
I'm wondering about how the locks work. You mentioned that each lock has a pound, does it drain each time the lock is used, or only partially drain? And...how are they refilled? No clue Aussie here, find it all very interesting.
Hi, another cracking video really enjoyed it, some good camera work and interesting cuts and also a lot better with the drone, which one do you have?, is it easy to fly?, I have a small one (drone that is Ha Ha), quite surprised to see that amount of frost, must be because of the water and mist, you need a good shopping trolley now to carry the shopping, nothing worse than bag handle digging into your hands, it's quite surprising how little coal or logs you need when you have your stove set up correctly, have you got carbon monoxide sensors in the boat, a good investment, thanks again. Albert
When you doing the tidal Thames.....piece of cake for Minimal List, they made very short work of it just recently, don't know what all the fuss is about regards the tidal Thames and narrowboats...
have you ever had stuff stolen off your roof as it is so open..no matter where you go or what hobby you do you will always meet nowty miserable people...have met them on top of mountains in the Lakes miles from anywhere...
Hi ya fran and rich I'm catching up slowly loving watching the vlogs of your travels you 2 are brilliant fair play to you both big love 👍
Thanks so much

Preferably with a cup of tea in one hand and a bacon butty in the other with brown sauce
Magical is the word - thanks x
Bacon is an avenue of pleasure now closed to us - it's veggie sausage but brown sauce all the way :)
Floating Our Boat ,. You do mean HP of course, or at the very least Daddies, .
The Canucklehead . You are so right , it's like you should not be there as your presence might spoil it.
The drone footage definitely compliments the rest beautifully and not over done, just perfect. I will see you next time, but you won't see me.

Still finding episodes I have not seen! Happy day !
thankyou very much for sharing your lives...you two are living my dream..great viewing.

I used to live near pewsey & crossed the canal from home to pewsey..
What a sky .........beautiful surroundings .... Great stuff....keep em coming rich and Fran...all the best...

Hi yes been boating for 25 years no rushing think about safety all the time
Lovely as usual, thank you both. AJ
Thanks again Alan x
Another lovely vlog. We've been making your bread for the last 2 months at home - very nice.
Another great video. When you sit and chat to camera I feel I have known you for years.

Love that sweater Rich - and Fran's top - you two have great taste and should start a fashion line - 'Floats' ? :)
Oh. Thank you x
As always, loved your vlog. I especially like the ambient sounds when showing your cruising sections.
Lovely meeting you both at Devizes Marina. Happy cruising. Paul 'NB Salix Alpha'
This is a verry relaxing video, thank you.
Greetings,, Kitty.
In the last video Fran explained how YOU would be doing the paddles!
Great vlog. its taken us a while but we have now caught up to the latest episode. Thanks
Thanks you two. Nothing like a nice relaxing mid morning coffee watching you both. Very sad about the boater who died.
Do let us know when you end up bringing the boat to Nottingham. It would be lovely to meet up for a coffee.
Thanks again - will be sure to meet when up there me duck x

My shop is on Etsy. I have a traders licence which allows me to to work and sell from the boat as well as canal side wherever we moor.
Fran x
Fran- did you knit the beautiful grey sweater? Is there a pattern? The fit is lovely and the neckline is so flattering.
Thank you, but I'm afraid I didn't knit it. Is was a charity shop bargain
"Life is but a dream"

Marian Jacobs those things are brilliant

Thanks SB - we used backpacks for the 5 mile round trip to the shops - not ideal :)

Cheers Stephen - just ordered some adjustable brackets for the purpose :)

Did you knit that lovely grey jumper?
I'm afraid not, it was a charity shop find
@@FloatingOurBoat It's lovely.

Was the doc on youtube? Rich.
Floating Our Boat yes it was. A omibus one I think.
Floating Our Boat he seemed like a very interesting, great ,flawed human being.
Don’t forget to put us in your journal! (NB Bursley)
Ha ha who could forget you xx

Hi Nev - It's a DJI Spark. will do an equipment vlog near future.
I'm wondering about how the locks work. You mentioned that each lock has a pound, does it drain each time the lock is used, or only partially drain? And...how are they refilled?
No clue Aussie here, find it all very interesting.
Pigs living in a straw house?! Will they never learn?
Made me chuckle
Fran x
Rich , what got you interested in art. and what do you do artistically?
Hi Andrew. I’ve been interested in art since an out the age of 14. I’m interested mostly in abstract landscapes. I don’t paint as much as I should do.
Did "cashing" your way up the locks break the bank? :-)
Hi Albert - drone is a DJI Spark quite simple to control but always a bit nervy over the canal.
Carbon detectors all fitted thanks for watching.
You should screw down those solar panels before it gets too cold and windy...
Got brackets on the way :) R.
Hi What drone do you use for the aerial filming caught a glimpse of it in a vlog or two back it looks nice and compact
Thanks Justin, drone is a DJI Spark.
I'll be doing a bit soon on the equipment we use. R
Floating Our Boat Will look forward to that, as I have the same great little drone. AJ
@@FloatingOurBoat thanks R it's a really great channel looking forward to next episode cheers.
Have you got carbon monoxide alarms on you Narra' worth doing to keep safe, while burning wood
Think your engine sounds different???
Yes you're not wrong - next episode - thanks for watching Bent, Fran x
Absolutely no knowledge of it😂😉
Thought you'd like that - tee hee
I'm use to water cooled engines on broads cruisers even yours sounds fruity for an air cooled engine.
yes it's sounding very 'fruity' at the mo -thinks needs a look at. R
Yes sad about the fatality you do have to take care , better not let Richie out on his bike alone unless he has his mask snorkel, and flippers
