This film is so iconic and its a great coming of age movie that every generation should watch and one day whenever I have kids I will introduce them to this movie. Just like a lot of other people I grew up watching The Sandlot and it’s still one of my favorites.
I used to be able to recite this entire movie scene after scene and word for word. I'm 34 now and this movie was my childhood. I can still recite some scenes word for word.
The movie is from the point of view of young boys and the way they thought was realistic even though it's not what is proper. It's not about portraying how boys should be, it's about what they were like.
Mike Vitar aka Benny gave up acting in 1997 and became a fire fighter, stupidly he got in trouble with the law in 2015 him and 2 other fire fighters beat up a man on Halloween he almost died and luckily they revived him, he was facing 4 years in prison but accepted a plea deal to avoid it
You're Killing Me Smalls! You Play Ball Like a Girl! This truly made my day! Just seeing this made me feel like a kid again! No Benny? I'm sad about that
Yeah asshole especially him since it was his yard and his dog that they kept hitting the balls over and was trying to get the Babe Ruth signed ball back, let's not forget the fact he was really a nice guy who was also a baseball legend like Babe Ruth and was his best friend and traded Smalls a better ball with the rest of the Yankees autographs
I love this movie but Liberal Hollywood would destroy this movie today. It's a movies for boys, men and the family so it's automatically bad by today societal standards.
Alan I am mad too. But until people start openly discussing the ills of a feminized toxic culture, what can be done besides get on the internet and bitch about what is happening. I really loved the Sandlot, and seeing the actors squirm when mentioning "Play ball like a girl," is eye opening and you know who ideology rules over you, by who you cannot criticize. If it's a movie made for boy or men today, the critics will bash it and shame everyone involved. It's the modern reviewers playbook. After than artificially stir up controversy by pretending the MSM is upset, when in reality the MSM is really sourced by the same writers and thinkers pushing an agenda.
Absolutely true. Notice how the feminist interviewer began the segment with an attempt to shame and chastise the cast and director for a now-politically incorrect line in The Sandlot that dared to suggest that boys could play baseball better than girls. Sadly, she succeeded too, because they promptly apologized and assured her that such a line wouldn't make it into a modern movie. The leftist PC feminazis in Hollywood would love to sully this classic just as they did with that embarrassingly awful all-female Ghostbusters remake. There is no creativity or originality left in Hollywood-only politics, and bad politics at that. Their goal is to advance an ungodly, radically egalitarian, secular humanist worldview that eliminates the God-designed differences between the two (and there are only two) sexes. They want to emasculate & feminize men and masculinize women. And anyone who still believes the objective truth that males and females are different must be relentlessly shamed and vilified. It's truly insane, and evil.
Also feminists would flip out over the pool scene saying it’s sexist, because its focusing on women’s bodies (“scam pool honeys!”) and call what Squints did to Wendy rape... This place is getting worse and worse by the day and making things so they can’t be as fun as they use to be! (If you look at A LOT of older movies, they wouldn’t have been able to make them because of all that stuff) I love this movie and I wouldn’t want to change it for the world!!!
I agree. Feminists will try to have Hollywood remake that movie. But hey, before The Sandlot there was a baseball movie for women called A League of Their Own.
A classic! Saw it in the movie theatre when I was 11. Nostalgia, the memories! Always will be one of my childhood top flicks. A lil' disappointed, however, that "Benny the Jet Rodriguez” wasn't there for the reunion, but it will be OKAY!
Makes me sad when I see it and how quick time goes feels like the other day I was a child myself watching this and now they are all grown up like me haha
watched this as a kid on ABC Family. I was less than a year old when it came out! Would always quotes lines about the film when I played baseball in P.E class. fun memories
This movie made me a baseball fanatic after watching it as a youngin. Only problem was, they only play softball in my country which I wasn't interested in at all lol.
I always wonder that fight scene in NOW & THEN with Christina Ricci kicking the crap out of bully after he said "Girls Cant Play Softball" was to be a response to that line
The Goonies, The Sandlot, and Stand By Me are just timeless and will never die
Exactly, and may they NEVER, NEVER, NEVER be "remade" or "rebooted" by the completely unimaginative and unoriginal schmucks in Hollywood.
Being rebooted with the original cast sounds awesome!
O my gosh I love those movies
Don't forget the Monster Squad.
Uh, yeah.
This film is so iconic and its a great coming of age movie that every generation should watch and one day whenever I have kids I will introduce them to this movie. Just like a lot of other people I grew up watching The Sandlot and it’s still one of my favorites.
These guys made my childhood awesome. Best baseball movie ever made in my opinion.

The movie is from the point of view of young boys and the way they thought was realistic even though it's not what is proper. It's not about portraying how boys should be, it's about what they were like.

One of my favorite childhood movies
what about James Earl Jones did they ever call or invite him
popoff21 he was in the movie for a few minutes...they'd have to invite every god damn cast memer
Yeah asshole especially him since it was his yard and his dog that they kept hitting the balls over and was trying to get the Babe Ruth signed ball back, let's not forget the fact he was really a nice guy who was also a baseball legend like Babe Ruth and was his best friend and traded Smalls a better ball with the rest of the Yankees autographs

the conservatives damaged a lot so the liberals had to change a lot of things

Still love this movie.
YEEEEES I CANNOT STOP SCREAMING!!!!! Wait where's Benny?
The opening music is the theme music to Cereal time TV
I would looooooveeee another sandlot movie with the original cast!!!
And the video begins, immediately, with virtue signalling. Great job, way to kill the spirit of yet another classic childhood film.
EverDownward they were just making light of it
What the fuck are you talking about dude
Man you complain like a girl
This was my movie as a kid!! But where's James Earl Jones?😊
FOR-EVV-ERRR
A classic! Saw it in the movie theatre when I was 11. Nostalgia, the memories! Always will be one of my childhood top flicks. A lil' disappointed, however, that "Benny the Jet Rodriguez” wasn't there for the reunion, but it will be OKAY!

“Whoever wants to be a can’t hack it, panty waist, who wears their mama’s bra…raise your hand”
Best movie ever
Classic!
Wheres Benny?
Just accept it everyone. It was used as an insult because it’s true. That’s why there’s softball.
So they spend the first half of this video apologizing. I don’t want a reunion if it’s going to be pc.
Hurricane Brownley they said twice lines were sexist. Thats the true acknowledging that isn’t being pc.
Jaybird J it’s also true
Hurricane Brownley yes it is true that saying such things denotes womens inferiority to men
Jaybird J and most of them can’t throw worth a shit.
this is why you don;t say such things
Your killing me Smalls!
watched this as a kid on ABC Family. I was less than a year old when it came out! Would always quotes lines about the film when I played baseball in P.E class. fun memories
where is my Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez?
Becky Ann In the new for beating a guy he and some other punks like him
hugo serrato that was like 4 years ago.
Anyone know what happened to Bertrum?
Bald dude with the thick beard--or he got really into the '60s and no one ever saw him again.
DO ANOTHER MOVIE!!!!
The plot of the movie could be them in the 80s or late 70s trying to find Bertram after he got “lost” in the 60s
How is it a reunion without Benny bruhh😐😐
To those who don't know, there's at least two sequels
Your Killing Me Smalls
This movie made me a baseball fanatic after watching it as a youngin. Only problem was, they only play softball in my country which I wasn't interested in at all lol.
Fuck yes , make the real sandlot 2 favorite movie ever
Kevin Mccombs no they shouldn’t. The first one no one can ever top and shouldn’t attempt to. It’ll just be ruined. I like that it’s a classic movie.!
I always wonder that fight scene in NOW & THEN with Christina Ricci kicking the crap out of bully after he said "Girls Cant Play Softball" was to be a response to that line
The only unchanged was Patrick Renna (Ham).
Christ I feel sooo old now
Wheres the jet Rodriguez
Still no Mike Vitar? Where the heck is he?
@Gansta J Beast Why? I was just curious.
"Until Foooooorevvvvvverr!"
