hi, one advise for optimization that I saw one other player use. Once you think about it makes perfect sense. While you are connected to another derelict, queue up repairs for items you will carry with you, allow character to go through bulkheads (airlocks/ ship separator - there is an option). You will have to babysit your character and put the mask on if you dont have EVA suit. Once you character brings all the components for item and starts actually working on an item, cancel repair. This will ensure that once you actually start repairing items you will have all the components already there. So during transit or while docked with station you can do full repairs and restorations. Hope this helps, I really love this game and keep up the good work.
Watch the news! You can get different dialogue options AND really neat random events. Never-ending food events (not what you think), missing celebrities, a racing sub story, and even a weird series of deaths to look into!
So one thing I found is that my character puts on his helmet seemingly at random, which isn't a big deal in the EVA suit, but it sure is with the pressure suit. I do use the duty roster settings to prevent the character from disembarking and that helps a lot with not dying at random. ESPECIALLY when running a crew.
Rather than clicking on every part, press X to switch to repair vision. I bet buying trash is like us paying minor change for plastic bottles, just so they don't litter.
Have been checking out LPs of this game, and keep coming back to yours because you keep your ship clean. Some ships look like garbage scows inside. Makes me claustrophobic lmao.
If you tend to forget to turn the proximity alarm back on you could also install a seitch to turn power off for your console. Cant use the console if it doesnt have power so should fix yhe problem.
I might do that. I've had some issues of running out of electricity on longer trips already, this might help with that too. Maybe you know - can I control switches with one of those switch boards, or is that only for turning off and on the machines?
@@gerritvalkering1068 I tried that a few weeks ago and doesn't work. Switches can only be manually switched. I used to switch lights in different rooms but then discovered I could use the switchboards on the lights and some equipment. Don't know if those work with nav consoles though
@@Kevin-ol5gr I know it works on pumps and filters, but those can be switched off manually too. Don't think the nav console has that, so don't think it'll work. I kinda want to turn all the energy in my ship off except for the/an antenna when I'm out uninstalling and salvaging a lot of things. Having a master switch on the outside of the vessel would be great for that
@@Kevin-ol5gr I gave it a try and yes, you can hook up nav stations and pretty much everything else to a signal box and it will turn it off. Just not switches.
@@gerritvalkering1068 You had previously mentioned that you like the Testudo floors and walls and I chuckled about that because I also prefer the same pieces. But I've recently found that the Mobile Space stuff is actually quite a bit lighter than the other pieces and am building a ship made exclusively of those so I have more delta v. Bit harder to come by those pieces but so far going pretty good. Also I know you made a signal box video at some point. Have you discovered anything new about them since then? There's not a lot of information about them out there but once this ship grows a bit I'm going to do some experimentation to see what all I can make them do.
yea he gets anxous. thinking it always needs to be moving along. i think he doesnt realize if we are here watching this game. we are more patient group. we are not the ticktock fps people lol

You sold the coils when it was not fully restored.... It seems you are doing everything fast because of the recording, no need for that.
yes, repair first... then restore til it says 'like new'
