love the video! little tip for @41:00the car placement. 1.) creat new folder 2.) make sure you are in said folder when placing the cars/object. 3.) when you are done placing , hold shift+click the first car , down the list to the bottom car. 4.) right click, attributes and select such settings. * can even add more object into folder and then click then all again and repeat steps 3&4. which he basically does at 50:00
This is great, I'm partly through Part 2 and a really big thank you for the effort you've put into this (I hope 1stAA appreciate it). I've just come back to mission making after a few years of absence and this is a good way of refreshing the old memory core. The ARMA 3 Editor has to be one of the best and much easier now than in the good old days. I've mission making all the way back Operation Flashpoint Cold War, VBS, ARMA 2 and 3 and I'm still learning. Thank you again and really looking forward to watching the rest.
1:17:44 Not sure if you are aware of this but that sidewalk can be done as good if not better in matter of seconds... - Place first section as desired - Highlight placed side walk and press spacebar till you see the arrows - Toggle widget coordinate space on/off till you see arrow aligned with sidewalk - Press Ctrl + C to copy and Shift+ctrl+V to paste in exact location and orientation - with side walk highlighted simple click on green arrow (make sure cursor is green aswell) and move side walk on green axis to edge, they will align perfectly. - rinse and repeat (can be done with multiple objects like side walks, wall and wot-not) - Some sidewalks may clip into the ground but simple click on the first placed item to highlight, hold shift and highlight (click or mouse box) all other side walks. Once all are highlighted simply press spacebar to get circles and either lift or lower the entire row as you need. With this method you can do all sidewalks in video in about 20seconds...the more flat the terrain the faster it goes, hope this help (if my points arent clear enough please let me know)
Quick tip with the layers, if you select the layer then hit the padlock at the bottom of the objects window it will lock that layer, that removes all the object markers form the objects you've placed (like removing objects from the zeus interface) this will make your map cleaner while editing and stops you from accidentally clicking and moving an object.
Are those missions you made still available/playable somewhere? I am honestly somewhat lost, every time I start looking I just find the info that the group has been decommissioned. Having a hold of the mission would allow the community to keep playing them?
The Eden Editor is amazing. I got stuck playing the newish Prairie Fire options lately but recently got back into trying to make missions. Thanks for sharing. Side note: Does anybody know the map that was in the workshop... it was a gas station in an apocalyptic setting. I think there was a big crater in a field but mostly just a gas station and a shop in a dark and destroyed setting with a single road passing through it. I have been looking for a year but can't seem to find it again :( Thx.
Anyone know why i dont have access to Ares mods while im in Editor? I can only use Ares while im in Zeus and it comes up with a error message. Any help appreciated, thanks

Can you give us the mod's list for this tutorial? Especially the enhanced editor one.
Its a pretty long mod list. Basically CUP, (terrains etc) RHSUSAF, ACE. The enhanced editor is this one steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=623475643 Must have!

Good stuff man! Would love to see more of these videos.
Thank you for making this informative video tutorial for us.

Thanks for this! The more I play with Layers the more I love them!
Down the rabbit hole I go!!
Hopefully UA-cam will improve the quality to at least give a nice view of the rabbit hole!
How do I allow objects to slide into the ground?
How do you insert ai in a building on different floor levels
