Who even implied that "he must have been on drugs because he's black?" Maybe he was acting like a lunatic when he dealt with them vs. how he acted in court. My question is how come people always try to destroy other people's reputations and play mind games, with baseless and nonsense claims of racism?
@@ayyboii8108 I'm not necessarily referring to this particular context where we are in the comment section of a video with not that many views. Accusations of racism manipulate juries in criminal trials, they decide elections, they get people fired, they get people black balled in industries, and they get people barred from renting apartments. So, yes. Racism allegations; if outright fraudulent and/or unsubstantiated are borderline lethal weapons.
@@wileecoyote5749 I would rather watch a new episode. Watching the audience in the background is not the same, at all. However, I have watched everything. I need new episodes.
Some may disagree, but I completely understand the plaintiff in this case. He clearly knows it's a lesson learned but I do feel for him still because I've gone through something similar, albeit relatively minor. At the end of the day, it's your fault if you just accept something you're not happy with. Trust me, I understand how after waiting so long, you just want everything done, but sacrificing quality just to have something sooner is the reason why we get ourselves into these situations. I just had a kitchen reno done recently and I hired all the contractors myself ... talk about work ... I wanted to do it less because of money and more as a learning experience because I love this sorta stuff (HGTV addict) ... I really did learn with each contractor that I got that some people are there to get as much money out of you for their shitty work, and others are actually trying to give you what you want without trying to screw you over BUT they ALWAYS need direction. 1. Always have a contract ... always. I suggest having a laptop/notebook out when the contractor comes to take measurements and to discuss the project with you. Be as detailed as possible. 2. Never take their word for it ... luck of the draw when someone sticks to their word. They can say one thing, do something completely different, and then when you go "I thought we discussed this", they say they don't remember or that you're lying. So keep your receipts, and OVERSEE your projects. If you notice something is off, say something and get clarification. This is your money. 3. Don't move forward until you're happy ... this case is a really good example of why you never move forward with a project until you're happy. A good contractor will always work with you to fix any miscommunications or genuine mistakes. Sometimes it's your fault and sometimes it's theirs, so it's best to remain civil and work with each other instead of against each other. 4. GET REFERRALS ... any decent contractor will be able to show you pictures of their work ... look them up and make sure you are happy with the reviews people are saying ... if they don't have much out there, ask for referrals - past customers they can speak with. Or even if you see testimonials on instagram/facebook, simply message the people directly and 90% of the time they will respond back because they know the struggle. It really makes a difference. 5. Never let a contractor boss you around ... you are the customer. For both contractor and customer, we never know when we're gunna be dealing with someone annoying and petty ... I get the feeling that some contractors are jaded because of their bad experience with past customers, so they can misinterpret someone completely new to dealing with contractors as someone who is difficult to work with, but this isn't at all the case ... same way that some customers think that all contractors are just trying to screw them over ... but at the end of the day, the customer is the one paying. The contractor isn't the one losing money on a job that wasn't done properly. That's coming from the customers pocket. 6. Always get multiple estimates and make sure you like them ... don't work with the 1st contractor that messages you simply because they are the first one. In my kitchen reno, turns out that 1 small portion of the base cabinets are 1/4" higher than the rest of the cabinets, including the island. I hadn't noticed by the time the contractor who installed the cabinets left, and my countertops weren't coming for another 3-4 weeks (thanks COVID...) ... by the time the countertops came in, it was already so long that when they told me I just wanted the countertops in there. I kind of regret this because I'm 99% sure the contractor that did the cabinet install would've come back to level them, I just didn't want to wait. I'm getting backsplash done this week and I'm really not sure how it will look ... had I just gotten it dealt with at the time, I could've avoided this headache. You don't wanna spend thousands of dollars on a kitchen reno to have things look janky and mismatched. Honestly, for my next big reno project, I'm just going to consult 1 contractor that can do everything. The bigger the project, the more invested they will be. I've learned that you simply don't know what you don't know. There are a lot of things that go into these jobs that you as a client will never fully understand. It is better to find a good contractor you can work with that will guide you and ask you all the questions you need to know. Even though my kitchen reno was an 'experience', I have learned a lot about choosing contractors and how to navigate those business relationships. I think my future reno projects that I contract out will go a lot more smoothly ... at least that's my hope lol. Only time will tell I suppose.

Looks like someone made a mistake somewhere, either in measurements or communication. The defendant sounds like he would accept a return or replace, because he did so when it was a wrong color. The plaintiff should just remove the cabinets and pieces he didn’t like, and get a refund/replacement . Especially when the defendant says the height is standard, not custom. it's not the principle, come on people. you're in a court of law. it's the law. There is law in the world. If everyone went around getting what they wanted on principle we'd be fucked. I'll try it another way: if a rapist got what they deserve they would be in jail based of a lawful outcome. But that doesn't happen all the time. Plenty of rapist don't get what they deserve. You can't apply principle. plenty of rapists get away with their crimes.
I think the Plaintiff should get all his money back and more because he is a very important chef and he wasn't given the praise he so obviously deserves, and plus he just got back from Paris, which solidifies that he is very important and deserving.
