Wade!! Thank you so much for testing my candles and for all of your helpful feedback and valuable advice!! I was so pumped to see this up! Your guesses were spot on! Very impressive!! I forgot to write down where the fragrance oils are from, they are actually all from candle science. Everything else is from makesy and my labels are standard white matte from online labels. I completely agree on down-sizing the wick after my first batch I came across two things which were the craters under the wax and smoking (the rim of the candle would turn black and have this thick smoke). But these issues weren't consistent. I would get a random candle here and there that would have these problems and the majority of them would burn nicely without any issues. I also felt like they burned very fast so I hope that with the down size in wick they will last a bit longer. Thanks again! Appreciate it.

For scents, I tend to prefer mellow ones myself. Not too pungent or strong but also not too citrusy or acid. The best way I can describe my favorites is just being wrapped up in a freshly dried blanket. A creamy coffee, wet wood/forest, sawdust with leather or amber, for a few examples.

If you are looking for the technical term it may be "Foil Stamping." There are sticker companies that will print the image and add a foil over a designated area/color and then cover the whole thing with a laminate.
You can do these at home as well. Essentially you print the label on a home laser toner (black toner offers the best adhesion,) overlay a sheet of special foil, and run it through a special machine or a laminator. The foil is heated up and will bind to the toner. If you want the original toner color to show through there is holographic foil.

Hi Wade! What is your take on advertising your wax used? More specifically should you only say a wax is “soy based” if it contains more than 50% soy. Could you say IGI 6006 is a “soy blend” even though it is 30% soy? I feel like consumers like the trend of soy, coconut, etc. but if the content is less than 50% should I avoid advertising as a “soy blend” or “coconut blend”? I want to be truthful with customers but also want to promote the environmental benefits of the product.

Hey Ryan. Good question. You can certainly say soy blend for 6006 wax. It's the most common use. Most candle businesses, small and large, do that as well. Most "soy" candles in the stores are not soy candles. Just have some soy in it
