I continue my "How to Twirl a Baton" channel with the "Novice Baton Twirling" series by teaching my version of a thumb toss, also known as a Thumb Flip. This move is the proper way to throw a baton as it gives you the height and control you need in order to do all those awesome spins and tricks underneath a toss. This trick will also build up to more difficult, flashy twirls and tricks that you will learn later on through my channel. I go over this move step by step making sure to go over proper body work and technique.
I start this trick off by teaching a thumb roll. This is the basis of a thumb toss as it teaches you how the baton is moving in order to get it into the air. Then I move on to teach how to actually toss the baton. I end with teaching how to do continuous thumb tosses by scooping the baton up between each toss. Additionally, I teach how to do this twirl in both the right and left hands to help all twirlers become well rounded and ambidextrous.

you explain very well but the music is so irritating. I have to mute it and then cant listen to your explanations. No music is needed in your tutorials.
