I continue my "How to Twirl a Baton" channel with the "Novice Baton Twirling" series by teaching my version of a hand roll. This is a basic roll that can lead to more advanced rolls like elbow rolls, fishtails, and monster rolls! I will cover these advanced rolls later on through my channel!
I go over this move step by step making sure to go over proper body work and technique. Additionally, I teach how to do this twirl in both the right and left hands to help all twirlers become well rounded and ambidextrous.

I'm 17 and I've picked up on twirling quickly... Says my coach... But some things I have trouble picking up on... This is a great channel for me because I've been looking up tutorial videos forever! I've only been doing this for a year and I love it but I'm not extremely good... These videos have helped me sooo much!! This is a great channel!!

I know its 7 years after this video and Ive seen a few so far, so you're awesome at twirling and yet what I need to know is what kind of baton you're using?

After the baton does the first hand roll, instead of catching it, stick your hand in there to do the second roll. After the first roll, the baton will go from being horizontal to vertical. Once the baton is vertical, that is when you want to place the second hand in to do the roll. You will catch the baton in your left hand.

Hi I was wondering if you would do like a what's in my baton bag video and idk if you do but if you do twirl for NBTA I think it would be interesting if you went over the score sheet point system and also some of your score sheets

I'm 12, do you think it's a little late for me to begin? I've mastered a lot of these skills because of both you and my twirler friend, and I'm surprisingly good.(: should I start, I just don't want to be downgraded by more advanced people, ya know? you're an amazing teacher and have helped so much!
Hey Lilly! Thank you for the nice compliments! I am glad I have been able to help you so far! I started twirling when I was 10, but it wasn't until I was 12 that I really got into twirling and started learning more difficult moves and tricks! I would definitely recommend you keep with the sport! Twirl on!!
