Most guitarists want tried and tested older models of any and all guitar makes. 1. we know they work and play just fine. 2. They have good resale value. 3. No development costs are involved. 4. The big guy is right, tariffs will screw up everything
I’m in agreement regarding a Chris Buck Revstar Signature model, and I’m almost positive that it’s coming. I went to the Cardinal Black show at The Basement East in Nashville, and it was one of the best shows I saw this year. I got to talk to each of the band members after the show, and it was just an amazing experience all the way around.
I second the affordable, well built US made option. I can understand the need for margins. Maybe this is a time for indie builders to find a way to make it happen because the big names refuse to. I would love for intermediate musicians to have something they can get now and play forever.
With vintera ii out for awhile now we are currently overdue for another mexico Road Worn series. Nitro finishes with only slight (time machine/closet classic) relicing would be a huge seller.
Sometimes the simple things are the best. A solid dreadnought, wood, steel, for example. I love your podcasts. If I were be living in Texas would buy all my gear in Alamo Music Center :) I swear. Greetings from Europe.
I'd also like to see interviews with area or visiting guitarists, gigging or not. It'd be great content for your channel and/or podcast. Happy holidays!
I'm seeing more use of Red Cedar, and 12 fret acoustics on OO and OOO/OM by a variety of builders. Walnut (the new Rosewood?) is also making a run, particularly with the 'sustainable woods' crowd.
Some of us beginner / intermediate players would love an instructional vid how you go about composing your demo pieces . Not w tab maybe pic of chords used . I assume just 12 bar blues but they are much more lively and interesting than most tutorials I see online.
+1 for pickup lines! I already suggested the same idea in another recent video. I waited so long for the HiFi Duet, but I haven’t seen a real good comparison video yet and the sound in the videos I found seemed to be a little underwhelming. An honest comparison review would be perfect. These systems aren’t cheap. 🧡
Dudes, I predict you're gonna get more viewers from Down Under. Great channel, guys. Btw Pickup content is a good idea, this has caused me a lot of a headaches between all the acoustic options.
Signature models for Matteo Mancuso (Revstar) and Grace Potter (SG). I would love to see more unique wood options for body /lam tops as well as necks/fingerboards.
I'm going to guess Fender cuts way back on the artist models. In the 2015s you would get an artist model for $999 because it offered cool upgrades. Now Fender is just selling artist models for $3k hoping people buy one. The Juanes, the Bruno Mars, the Coma, the Mccready, the MonoNeon... I'm kinda glad the Tom Delonges are going for $699 now but people who bought them at 1300 have heartburn.
Taylor Swift did Eras graphic guitars with Epiphone through her website. They sold out immediately. It was Epiphone’s least expensive acoustic guitar with a $200/$250 premium for the Taylor Swift graphic. Personally, I think it would have been much better for her to do with a GS-Mini.
Biotin and coconut oil is good for hair. 2. Turkey is not a good vacation destination. 3. I'd like to see more acoustic pickup reviews with music comparison content. 4. Have a Happy, Healthy, Prosperous 2025 New Year !!!
Wishlist: I really wish Gibson US would set up an independent in-house Epiphone Custom Room. The Casino from a coupla years ago just sort of disappeared and the recent solid-body got a bit of press but they seemed like half-hearted attempts, testing the water (particularly the Casino after the Get Back movie). They were almost 'throwaways'. The Casino, Riviera, Sheraton, Broadway et al could be brought back to their former glory - and please, not like the Noel Gallagher one which was just a re-tooled 335. Find someone who really wants to explore the original woods used and get Gotoh to make the hardware if necessary to trad specs - do it properly, not a 'yeah well but they're not Gibsons so don't overthink it' approach - have a little respect Gibson owners - thank you! The other thing that might be nice on the budget end of things would be to see more quirky, fun stuff like the Guild Surfliner (which they finally got right after 2 or 3 initial attempts) and the Gretsch Jeff Antonoff Signature - these are both novel, affordable FUN instruments offering something a bit different without breaking the back! And all you 'big guys' - why not try offering some alternative pick-up options within your range? Eastman have soared ahead partnering with Seymour Duncan, Lollar & Bare Knuckles . . . what about Monty's, Fralins and others. Johnny Marr managed to get Fender to put in some non-Fender pick-ups for his signature Jag and that made all the difference - a very special Artiste Model that offered something unique, not just an autograph on the headstock! Thanks for the show and a Happy New Year to all!
I think, despite possible tariffs, we're going to see Sire guitars continue to grow, especially electric guitars and basses. Even if an across the board 10 or 20% additional tariff is implemented (and I keep praying they won't be), the value to money gap is already SO huge, that those guitars will STILL be a better value to money option compared to American made guitars. Those guitars are so damn good that they're constantly out of stock NOW, when overall market demand is down! So they've got nowhere to go but up!. Especially since they're made in Indonesia and not China, and the tariff won't be near as much. All that being said, I can't speak for their acoustics since I don't play acoustic. So I'll let someone else predict that side of their catalog.
Personally, maybe it’s just me, I hope your prediction about more “printed” top guitars like the MLB GS-Mini is off. I want to see the beauty of the tonewood.
I really liked Taylor offering the GT and all its versions but thought from day one they were over priced and why I never purchased one. They probably priced the GT high to stand out from the GS Mini which it does but had they priced it lower they would have sold more, but then they would have cut into their GS Mini sales. As for the GS Mini, I collect them and 2024 killed me trying to keep up with all the different releases! I feel they went a bit too far and flooded the market. There were 47 different GS Mini's sold to the public during 2024 that I'm aware of which includes Prod, LTD, SE, Proto's, all 10 Stio-x, and the MLB release (NOT counting all 30 MLB team variations). 2023 there were 12 different GS Mini's offered, and 2022 10 offered. So you can see Taylor went crazy with GS Mini's for 2024. Some of the GS Mini's were not unique enough and shared characteristics with other models in color and design, and a couple were totally awesome. I think I'm giving up collecting GS Mini's, I have a super unique collection starting from the 2010-2024 and unless they offer something completely unique I don't see myself getting anymore. I like the printed versions but they are basically using up their standard Sapele stock pile by adding a colorful design for a higher price verses offering new non-standard woods for the same higher price. None the less the GS Mini is awesome and despite being layered back and sides there are differences in sound with some of the releases.
I don't know way people don't like taylor 510 i have one i bought in the 90s i love that guitar every time I play people always say what a great sounding guitar
I would love to see a small (five watt) amp from a major brand that doesnt break the bank. The stiff from gibson and the champ from fender are really pricy for me.
Fender is going to come out with some affordable relic’d model, probably made in Mexico. Martin is going to add some different tone woods to a regular model. Maybe like a walnut back and sides D or OOO 18/28. JHS will issue a pedal that creates an insane amount of hype and pisses off the guitar community when most can’t get one without paying triple on the second hand market.
I really hope you are wrong about that last prediction. It sounds to much like the Variax. I think the big boys need to spend less time worrying about putting pedals or effects IN their instruments and need to focus on making an affordable version of their core models that either dont feel like toys, or aren't SO tricked out and expensive that you're thinking "This costs as much as one of the core models. I should just save up for THAT". That and MAYBE someone can invent a pickup that when you split the coil it SOUNDS like a single coil?!?
You guys are San Antonio music masters, why don't you order some Limited edition silver burst Spurs guitars? You might have to talk to the Spurs about that though
I just don’t understand all the hype over any of the “signature” series guitars. Companies like Furch are making great instruments available at a variety of price points. Regardless of price every Furch I’ve tried has been great.
I Predict Trump's NEW Tariffs will make EVERYTHING MORE EXPENSIVE in the US scaring away consumers from purchases. Hopefully it won't hurt Small Businesses like Alamo Music... but there's a very good chance it could
With President Trump promising huge tariffs next year, I think we can definitely predict one thing for sure… that guitar prices will definitely be going UP in 2025. At least the ones made outside the US. So maybe all the lower priced versions made in Mexico & Asia won’t be so affordable anymore. 🤔
He will break another promise. Just campaign talk. He will put a tariff on some small things that are nothing major, declare it a major victory and his supporters will swear it was exactly what he promised.
No offense, guys, take care of your physics with some weight loss (25 to 40 lbs) ... you seem kind of uncomfortable in your presentations. Stay healthy, you won't regret it, keep doing what you do, the followers like what you. Again, don't take any offense, too. Best regards into 2025 ... Peace bro's
Most guitarists want tried and tested older models of any and all guitar makes. 1. we know they work and play just fine. 2. They have good resale value. 3. No development costs are involved. 4. The big guy is right, tariffs will screw up everything
You better buy now while these are still available.
I hear ya 👂 I’m trying to sell my Atkin Hawaiian Master and fools keep asking how it compares to a J-45…
theres already tariffs and duties on Japanese fenders and people buy them all the time.
I’m in agreement regarding a Chris Buck Revstar Signature model, and I’m almost positive that it’s coming. Cardinal and Black would be a great color combination.

It's already out 😊
Hey guys, love your channel! Hope you had an awesome Christmas and have a great new year 🤙

I’ve owned a Taylor 510 for about 10 years and I still love it as much as I did the day I got it!
I'm seeing more use of Red Cedar, and 12 fret acoustics on OO and OOO/OM by a variety of builders. Walnut (the new Rosewood?) is also making a run, particularly with the 'sustainable woods' crowd.
Thanks, guys. Love your work!
I thought the GT Taylor was way better than the GS Mini, but I get it the price always wims
Sorry I was 10 minutes late !! I hope Taylor produces a GS-Mini with cedar top, maple back and sides, plus curly maple binding. For $799.
... and it will be the Presidential signature model for the McKee/Greenberg administration.
Best thumbnail ever

The thumbnail! Well played gents 👍🏽
Furch *LOVE* button here.
Time to stand up Chris
TOTALLY agree about the Legacy!
1. Taylor gs mini with cutaway
2. Made in Mexico Taylor T5z
3. Fender Jaguar or Mustang short scale Acoustasonic
Would kill for #3!
Dudes, I predict you're gonna get more viewers from Down Under. Great channel, guys. Btw Pickup content is a good idea, this has caused me a lot of a headaches between all the acoustic options.
Furch will continue to be underrated, but the KILLER line is the Touchstone.
Good luck Chris.
I think from now on my New Year's Resolutions every year will be "do cooler things and have more fun."
Some great predictions. The factory term you were searching for was "shift."
Signature models for Matteo Mancuso (Revstar) and Grace Potter (SG). I would love to see more unique wood options for body /lam tops as well as necks/fingerboards.
A return to the natural colour and wood grain showing through !

I'm predicting the return of the J-15. Gibson has danced around a walnut J-45 combination for years. But has never bested the J-15.
Biotin and coconut oil is good for hair.
2. Turkey is not a good vacation destination.
3. I'd like to see more acoustic pickup reviews with music comparison content.
4. Have a Happy, Healthy, Prosperous 2025 New Year !!!
Hopefully we get a new road worn series. Ever since Andertons did their anniversary road worn's I've been looking out for them

I would like to see more natural finish guitars and basses with maple fretboards.
Personally, maybe it’s just me, I hope your prediction about more “printed” top guitars like the MLB GS-Mini is off. I want to see the beauty of the tonewood.
Hey guys! Are you going to carry/review Bedell guitars?
Salut les gars j'ai acheté taylor grand auditorium 214ce k sb plus et je l'adore j'aime bien votre Chanel de Martin from Québec Canada 😊
It would interesting to see Martin try their hand at making an Electric guitar
They did it before in the late 1970’s, it was pretty much a flop
Less is more, is a great saying.
Yall are right there in Austin scene and Texas Country, start interviewing there. I’d like to see a Jamie Lynn Wilson interview

Hilarious shout out to Rick Beato. Are you ever going to carry Eastman?
Is there any Intel if there will be a concert sized Yamaha TAG guitar?
When I heard the tariff video I thought you must have a relative that is a Customs Broker or a Freight Forwarder.
I’d like more good quality analog amps with controllable reverb/delay that you don’t control from an app.
All I want for 2025 is a GS Mini with larger string spacing / nut width.
Is there a video anywhere of how Martin does the Ambertone tops?
I don't know way people don't like taylor 510 i have one i bought in the 90s i love that guitar every time I play people always say what a great sounding guitar

Yes ! Pres & VP ..........and free guitars 2028🤣🤣🤣 ! ! ! 🎸🎸🎸🤣🤣😆😆🤣🤣🤣
Rick Beato interviews you guys!
From Taylor Swift, maybe we’ll see a signature blue guitar with koi swimming down the neck and around the sound hole. I’m a fan of that one.
Don’t the legacy Taylor’s X bracing contradict the advantages of V class bracing? Maybe just a way to increase sales!
Eventually they will do custom print tops from customer jpegs.
May God bless you and give you another year of his favor. Keep going Chris and Cooper 🙏👍
Amen!
Is it true the Martin M-36 will be discontinued in 2025?
I really hope you are wrong about that last prediction. It sounds to much like the Variax. I’d vote for yall 😂, I enjoy watching these videos more than the inundation with politics and “Breaking News”. If Kanye ran, yall can!

Fender will stop throwing shade on the Jaguar 🙏
Agree baseball team logos on guitars 😩
Yamaha will introduce a TAG 5!
The word you are looking for is "shift."
More guitars with technology baked in for 2025, huh? Sounds like robot tuners are back, baby!
I would like to see Gibson stop putting the LR Baggs VTC into just about everything.
I Predict Trump's NEW Tariffs will make EVERYTHING MORE EXPENSIVE in the US scaring away consumers from purchases. Hopefully it won't hurt Small Businesses like Alamo Music... but there's a very good chance it could
Isn't Taylor Swift playing Gibson's now????
What about having an interview with your wives?
Cooper will cut his hair and make Chris a nice toupee ? ☺🥰
Am I alone that I don’t need simplification? I like having a lot of choices 🎉
No
No road worn mentions... unless you already know?! -puts credit card in the freezer just in case-
