They are sold so cheaply its ridiculous. 1 or 2 dollars for the small ones. Its fun to watch them sew the molas...layering different colors of fabric. You made out really really good.

I greatly appreciate all of the information as I have been away from the market for many years & am just getting back in to start selling on eBay.
Great video! I love how thorough you are with where you got things and how long they took to sell. One note and a caution - the mermaid ornament definitely is not a Radko. Radko Italians typically still have a cap. Rarely did they use the curled over glass for the hook, and this is not one of those times. I know google lens ID'd it as Radko, but it was likely from a listing which also mis-identified it. If the seller did not include the name and item number, it is because they are just guessing it is a Radko, but have no real idea. An item number could then be double checked in Radko back catalogs, which are nearly all posted on Radko's website. The caution about misidentifying Radkos - Radko collectors are a competitive bunch. They will bid first, ask questions later, in their rush to beat the competition. But once they receive the ornament, they often have much sharper eyes for the questionable details, and will seek a return/refund if they realize the ornament is not a Radko. Especially since this is a Made in China ornament....

Question, I noticed that many of the sales in this video started at one price and then showed a 35% markdown. Please, please, show us the safe way to ship. Thank you for all your videos.

Hi! In one of your videos you mention your listers. Do you have a video that talks more about that such as hiring, pay, etc? I would love to learn more about this topic.
It is way more complicated than that. I have a payroll company and pay my portion of social security and federal income tax on their wages. It will vary by state but in most you can't just pay them as a 1099 contractor. I pay $2 per listing and mine are all family and friends I tried hiring outside of that and it didn't go well.
What is your pricing strategy? Do you try to start the auction at the value you believe the item is? Do you have a buy it now price? Do you allow offers? Do you do 7 day auctions or longer auctions on some items?
I don't do auctions except very rarely, less than 2% of my items are auctions. I do buy it now with offers on for most of my listings. Unless rare and in demand I won't auction and if I do I start at the lowest I'm willing to take and how many ever days for it to end on a fri sat or sun

I have a couple of questions for you, Kat. I noticed on your listings that it says "Returns accepted, Buyer pays shipping." My question is do you get very many returns? My other question is on your price, I see the the price that has a line drawn through it as if it has been marked down. How do you get that on there? I too am a nurse flipper, although not nearly to the scale that you are. I enjoy your videos so much!

Hey there, so I have a few videos on sourcing and how and where to find auctions. This one ua-cam.com/video/TeMov_vwQ0k/v-deo.html shows how to use hibid which is the main auction site I use. This one shows different places to source online ua-cam.com/video/0TTUVuUMW-U/v-deo.html and then this one shows how I use shop goodwill ua-cam.com/video/pNYODoiHQ8c/v-deo.html I hope these help!
I am curious with all the online Hi-Bid pieces you sold, were those all shipped to you? And do you just figure you'll charge about the same in shipping when you sell it? Or how do you account for that shipping cost? I ask because I've heard you say before that HiBid vendors can often gouge you on the shipping. I bought my first item on HiBid recently and they charged me $21 for a box of thimbles. They did pack them really well but that seemed awfully high, and the item was only $20 so that doubled my cost. Thanks so much for sharing!
Why would I pay some to my buyer? If you mean who buys the merchandise that is me lol and no the listers get a flat fee for listing and a bonus if they list a certain amount
No, because a lot of sellers have international shipping on such as myself and I ship a lot internationally. I would just make sure to turn international on
That's actual cost by zip code and weight so it calculates exactly so if something ships close by the costs aren't much, but if far it is more. Since I use calculated eBay charges them the exact amount.
Barbies can sell great but it does depend on the doll. What you can do is check the solds on the doll you have and go from there. As far as listing, you can find one like it and copy the listing. I have sold many Barbies for $$$.
Another option is to sell the fashions and accessories from the doll separately and sell the doll nude. Sometimes you can make more money selling the doll in parts instead of new in the box. A lot of sellers do this.
I don’t sell, I don’t buy, but these videos are my absolute favorites!

@@gayledeswert2727 in my experiences most have them priced too high to make it worth it but hopefully this one doesn't
I enjoy your videos so much!
no my returns are all free 30 day seller pays shipping. I run sales constantly so I always have 35% off but never longer than 4 days.
@@TheNurseFlipper Sorry, I should have looked back at the video. After I sent that, I thought I had made a mistake. Thank you for your prompt response! You are a wealth of knowledge and so sweet to share it with us all.
@Welcome's House I do all free returns I pay
Kat, do you have a hibid auction tutorial?
Hey there, so I have a few videos on sourcing and how and where to find auctions. This one ua-cam.com/video/TeMov_vwQ0k/v-deo.html shows how to use hibid which is the main auction site I use. This one shows different places to source online ua-cam.com/video/0TTUVuUMW-U/v-deo.html and then this one shows how I use shop goodwill ua-cam.com/video/pNYODoiHQ8c/v-deo.html
I hope these help!
Kat, thanks so much. I appreciate you willing to share your knowledge with us. You are the best.
Hi Kat
That site you bid on what is the name of it
There are multiple I use here is a video going over them all ua-cam.com/video/55Xb3VyMmHQ/v-deo.html
It is about half and half between shipped and local pickup and I calculate the shipping cost into the cost of the item.
Definitely going to start painting clipper ships 😂
You should!
Can you list the best auction sites? Thank you! ❤😅❤
To buy or sell
I seriously need to make money like this? I could get out of debt and live on my own if I wanted too! That’s Awesome!
Oh yeah if motivated definitely can
Do you pay portions of your profits to your buyer and lister, and what percentages?
Why would I pay some to my buyer? If you mean who buys the merchandise that is me lol and no the listers get a flat fee for listing and a bonus if they list a certain amount
Congratulations 👏
Research Video Requests: Oyster Cans, porcelain dolls
Congrats to you
Hello quick question do you Compare price with new ones items that looks like the same or you just price them on your own
I compare to same item and if it is a new and mine is used I would price lower
How many items do you usually list a day and have listed? Thanks, Donna just love u
An average of 20-30 most days.
Dang gurl congratulations on that !!
Thank you!
Do you suggest researching your geographical area prior to listing? Must of the resellers I have watched are in the states. I resided in Canada.
No, because a lot of sellers have international shipping on such as myself and I ship a lot internationally. I would just make sure to turn international on
How come there are different prices shown, one price crossed off the one price say sold for 58$ but you said 52$
Because I was running a sale
How often do you go to estate sales? All that stuff would have been priced at least 3x what you paid in my area.
I rarely go most of my inventory is from online estate sale auctions so I will buy a lot once or twice a month at most
Wondering about Knowles not sure on the spelling but I have a set.
How many items do you keep on your store ... do you have inventory goals?
I have 5500 currently, my goal was 5000, but we're not stopping :D
@@TheNurseFlipper have you identified a certain inventory level needed in order to provide consistent sales revenue... Is there some “magic” ratio?
How are you keeping shipping costs so low. Under $10 to ship the blanket and framed art, How? Shipping costs are killing my profits
That's actual cost by zip code and weight so it calculates exactly so if something ships close by the costs aren't much, but if far it is more. Since I use calculated eBay charges them the exact amount.
@@TheNurseFlipper thanks for the reply
Wow, that was fantastic
Thank you
When you win on high bid do you go and pick the items up or have them shipped to you? I've always been afraid of the shipping charges.
I do about half and half and some are scary. I might do a video update on hibid on Friday
Do you know how well Barbie dolls seal on ebay?
It depends some go very high and some are hard to sell at all
@@TheNurseFlipper I got a few really nice collectible ones that I was hoping to sell any advice on how to list them?
Barbies can sell great but it does depend on the doll. What you can do is check the solds on the doll you have and go from there. As far as listing, you can find one like it and copy the listing. I have sold many Barbies for $$$.
Another option is to sell the fashions and accessories from the doll separately and sell the doll nude. Sometimes you can make more money selling the doll in parts instead of new in the box. A lot of sellers do this.
