- I finally got this beast to run and it sounds like it rips! I hope that I can rip around towards the end of the season this year! Let me know what else you think I should do to this or whatever else sounds fun!
Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoyed it! Stick around for more stuff like this!!
Always exciting to see someone get their project fired up for the first time.
A rusty tank will be a constant issue until you can address it thoroughly. I had luck with my old CM400 by removing the tank, filling it with a water/sand solution, and shaking the living hell out of it for a good hour while watching youtube videos, then heating it in an oven (paint was already stripped). POR-15 gas tank treatment might be a better solution though.
Good opportunity to do it before painting the tank.
I hope this project goes well for you, and you get many many miles out of it.
Yes! thank you!! Ooo that’s a sweet and fairly simple process! I’m a little conflicted tho, i’m debating on going with a different tank altogether or keeping this one! Thank you for the support! I appreciate it!
Lmao I own the same shoes as you only mine got holes from skating. Good vid
Thanks man! these are my second pair, i ruined my other ones in a motorcycle accident hahaha
Without a hose hooked from the vacuum barb on the back of the petcock to carb #2, you won't get any fuel outside of the prime position. If you're getting overflow, one of your float needles could be stuck, or have a pinhole in it. Also make sure to check the points as well. Cruddy points make weak spark. Welcome to the trashbike life 🤘
oooo good to know!! thank you!! i’ll have to check all that because i’m pretty sure that’s the problem i’m having now :/ but good to be here 😂
also you wont get throttle response until it warms up a bit
cranking the trottle like that when ur starting is only flooding the carb so u have to crank even more to un flood it
oh boy im dumb haha
What a weird dude who just randomly pops by… 😂 I have a power washer adapter that will get into tight spaces you can use btw
Super weird 😂 aighty!
dont open the throttle when trying to start ir up, just hit the starter with throttle closed and play with the choke
ahhh ok ok gotcha thanks!
