Her kindness, patience and perseverance are admirable.. Kim, we see you. You're doing a wonderful job, and the love you have for your sons is amazing. God bless you guys, hopefully sign language helps as you want it to and baby steps keep being made in the right direction.
When she said parents take the little things for granted, i felt that. My oldest doesnt speak, my youngest started speaking late, last year. My first time being called mommy, i thought both of my children would always be nonspeaking. My friends who has children who are neurotypical, always tell me that ill regret when they start talking or wish they didnt. Havent yet, its an ugly thing to say or joke around about, but having a child who's finally able to communicate, it's beautiful. Even with the constant "no", everyday i rather hear no, than my child suffer to get his needs across.
She is doing more than a lot of moms with neurotypical kids. Amazing amazing mom. Her kids seem like great kids. She’s doing everything she can to keep her family safe happy and healthy. A lot of people not just moms of autistic kids could learn from her. Unconditional love and support such a badass.
This was inspiring to watch. Life is hard on its own. When you have disabilities or have to look after people with disabilities it's a whole other ball game.
I've seen this before, but it's just lovely. She's such a good mum. I have 3 children our middle child has autism and she's high functioning which does make things difficult coz people think she is capable as a 'regular' kid, she's 19.
I've been living with high functioning autism for 25 years. It's hell on earth because nobody respects any of your special needs or even believes that there is anything wrong with you at all. I have hyper sensitive hearing and I hear high frequency sound that other people cannot hear at all. I tried to work in over 30 jobs and I was forced to quit because of a latent high frequency noise in the building or some kind of machinery being used. Nobody understands that it is literally never ending torture for me to be around it and nobody allows you to wear noise cancelling headphones at work. Many days the only thing I think about is maybe we aren't meant to exist in this world made for a standardized human that we will never be.
I grew up with undiagnosed autism and adhd. But grew up being diagnosed with dyspraxia and dyslexia. My parents were rubbish. They didn't want to know when I confronted my mum and told her I related to these symptoms which was a huge thing for me to admit and open up to. She brushed me off and told me to stop giving mysel things. I eventually got my diagnosis of adhd at 24 and autism at 29 independently. Ahe gave me independence eventually because I felt I couldn't confide in her. She too committed a heinous crime against me. I went out partied so hard because i didnt feel safe at home. I happier being alone. Its safer and happier. My hat goes off to this wonderful woman. ❤
My sister has two adult boys with autism. One has Aspergers and is independent, and one is autistic and can't live on his own. I have a daughter who has high functioning autism. She recently married a wonderful man who understands her triggers and knows how to handle her meltdowns.
Aspergers is not a diagnosis any more as it was considered a separate but similar form of autism. It's also deeply anti-semitic, ableist and problematic.
This is an old video. I do not know her aside from the few videos I’ve seen of her family, but I’ve thought about Kim over the years. I hope she’s doing well and that her sons have found lives of their own, at least a little. They seem like a strong family, but isolated and pretty alone. When you compare this with earlier videos, you can see how much life has worn her down, which is sad. I hope she did get actual help and respite care and that she did find someone to share her life with
As a physically disabled person in BZ I find the organizations that aim to 'help' those with disabilities so patronizing and bottom line fucking annoying however I admire this lady and how happy she is despite everything I couldn't cope
Thank you for this video! I am a single mom as well. My youngest has autism, and is misunderstood a lot. I am learning more daily from other parents and videos like these. You do a wonderful job with your boys!
I give her a lot of credit for not giving up on her kids and just work with them and let them be how they are and teach them what is ok and not. May God 🙏🙏 be with her and her family.
I have 3 boys, two of them have autism (one is high functioning and one is low) let me tell ya, it's hard!! But I wouldn't change them for the world ❤❤
This shows exactly what a day is like in a family with special needs children. Somedays are just horrendous such hard work you can’t wait for it to end. I have 4 boys with needs & they are all a joy.
You my dear are so awesome, taking care of these 3 young men with patience and love, I watch alot of true crime videos and some cant handle 1 young child, you are wonderful❤

No. Autism (despite what woo-woo nonsense pseudoscience-believing fools will claim) isn’t caused by any environmental factors or how a child is raised etc. It is believed to be a neurotype that arrives out of a complex mix of many genes and their expression- this is why it’s very common to see, as in this case, multiple siblings with autism, or oftentimes families with parents who have several autistic traits/could be considered autistic that then have kids who have higher support needs than the parents. In fact, I know very very few autistic people who were born as the only autistic in recent family history- almost always there’s a link through the mom and dad, grandpa and grandma being autistic etc. It’s very much a neurotype that arises from genetic history. Idk the mom well enough from this video, or the dad at all, to be able to say either one is autistic and passed it to the kids, but I’d bet money that one of the two OR one or more of the grandparents were autistic. So they haven’t done anything to cause it, it just is the way it is when this particular couple would reproduce, the odds were way higher for autism
Wonderful loving mother and beautiful family. The only thing was the hotdogs.. processed meats: hotdogs, bacon, pepperoni, sausage, ham, pastrami…all have a cancer causing preservative called Sodium Nitrite or Sodium Nitrate, which is the leading cancer causing substance known to man. Sometimes you can find Uncured bacon. Bacon was nearly banned in 1940 due to the extremely high levels of Sodium Nitrate that was causing epidemic levels of cancers, especially colorectal cancer. Instead of banning bacon they lowered the amount of cancer causing Sodium Nitrate/Nitrite but it’s full way too high and it’s in ALL PROCESSED MEATS. Medical journals clearly warn us never to eat or drink anything with Sodium Nitrite/Nitrate in it because it’s absolutely proven to cause cancer, especially colorectal cancer, sadly. Please don’t ever feed your children, grandchildren or even your dog or cat any processed meats.
