Literally the greatest band I’ve found in a long time. I haven’t missed them Live since I found them and they’re unreal live.
They're pretty good but I'm not sure where the worship comes from, can someone explain? Is it the unconventional vocals?

Phenomenal musicianship and super high energy live shows.
Max portnoy is just like his father but is very much inspired Joey J.
Derrick has some sexy riffs.
Justin is a god tier vocalist and will blow you away alive.
All in all just a solid band.

I always tell people metalcore is my favourite genre and, sure, it is, but deep inside, I know I can't let go of nu metal (btw by doing some kind of internet hype russian roulette, spotify has decided that nighmare by FATN should be my go-to song this year)

As far as new nu metal goes Wargasm, Mood Ring and Tallah are probably the best ones doing it now imo.

They released their debut album in 05’, but formed in 1999. But yea, how does Nik not remember Wasteland?
@@warbreaker88 The Autumn Effect is their third album, but it is their major label debut. Their actual first album is from 2001 and is called Into The Half Moon, which has a different singer and has a lot of Deftones influence on it which there's some awesome songs on it, like Try Again, What The Fuck, When Will You Breathe?, and others. Killing All That Holds You (their second one from 2004) is also great, which Wasteland, Through The Iris, and Insects originated from KATHY with a more raw, less polished sound to it.
They were touring since the 90's

That Indigo Blaze track actually went hard. I looked them up they are an Australian act that are heavily, heavily influenced by Beastie Boys and Limp Bizkit. I just listened to another track of theirs and it’s pretty much a Beastie Boys song. It was basically Watcha, Watcha, Want?.

as someone who was in midst of the nu-metal scene in the late 90's/early 00s, its fills me with joy that there current bands that are keeping the nu-metal vibe alive ❤🤘
Spotify is clueless for not having Tallah on the list. They should be 1-10 honestly, best Nu-Metal band since the O.G.’s (Slipknot, Korn, Mudvayne, Linkin Park, Nothingface, etc.). Both of their albums (Matriphagy and The Generation of Danger) are masterpieces!
This brings me joy ngl, been anticipating a revival for a while now and been checking bands trying to get it rolling since 2016

I might be biased but Lajon Witherspoon of Sevendust easily has the best voice in the genre. I wish they had more popularity. Drumming by morgan rose is tight af They consistently have banger riffs too courtesy of clint lowery and john connolly

6:25 So glad Silly Goose is on here. Met the guys back in 2022 as they were playing a set out of a pickup truck after the Korn show at Jones Beach. Even bought their merch cause I was that impressed and barely anyone knew who they were at the time. So proud of those guys.

saw silly goose live and they had double the security of every other set at that stage. for their last song they asked for more people to be in the air than on the ground. i got full on dropped onto the gravel crowd surfing
Haven't had that happen, but did have someone that was getting crowd surfed dropped right on me from behind at a show(Rock on the Range when they had all the grunge bands headlining, killer show; so glad I got to see Cornell live), that was a good time LOL

It's good to see that old nu metal bands still makes song. I grew up listening to nu metal and seeing the bands that I used to listen to adapt to the new style of metal nowadays is really great to see.
And that's exactly why I'm currently listening to this: Hjaal - Martyr , МЕЩЕРА , Fleshwater - Linda Claire , Alura - Disciple , Kalmah - Scarred by Sadness.
That’s interesting Nik . we are starting our journey maybe one day we will be on that playlist. 🤔
