it made me happy to see you say good things about moodring. them and static dress have been in my top bands since hearing them. got a sick hoodie from them too
Spotify is clueless for not having Tallah on the list. They should be 1-10 honestly, best Nu-Metal band since the O.G.’s (Slipknot, Korn, Mudvayne, Linkin Park, Nothingface, etc.). Both of their albums (Matriphagy and The Generation of Danger) are masterpieces!
That Indigo Blaze track actually went hard. I looked them up they are an Australian act that are heavily, heavily influenced by Beastie Boys and Limp Bizkit. I just listened to another track of theirs and it’s pretty much a Beastie Boys song. It was basically Watcha, Watcha, Want?.
If you want new Nu-metal Try check out As Everything Unfolds Saw them support Enter Shikari around a year ago Awesome lead vocalist and you can hear Linkin park as a clear influence with a more metal sound
Wargasm has also some different nü metal tracks, apart from that track with Fred Durst. I've seen them in Hamburg at Babymetal concert and they are quite decent.
I might be biased but Lajon Witherspoon of Sevendust easily has the best voice in the genre. I wish they had more popularity. Drumming by morgan rose is tight af They consistently have banger riffs too courtesy of clint lowery and john connolly
6:25 So glad Silly Goose is on here. Met the guys back in 2022 as they were playing a set out of a pickup truck after the Korn show at Jones Beach. Even bought their merch cause I was that impressed and barely anyone knew who they were at the time. So proud of those guys.
Totally agree with the editor (is it Caleb?) .bHP fkn *slaps* as someone who was in midst of the nu-metal scene in the late 90's/early 00s, its fills me with joy that there current bands that are keeping the nu-metal vibe alive ❤🤘
Ngl, the "Allure" (Deftones egirl) playlist actually bangs. It's the only new one I've checked out, but I have to give Spotify some credit on that one.
@@warbreaker88 The Autumn Effect is their third album, but it is their major label debut. Their actual first album is from 2001 and is called Into The Half Moon, which has a different singer and has a lot of Deftones influence on it which there's some awesome songs on it, like Try Again, What The Fuck, When Will You Breathe?, and others. Killing All That Holds You (their second one from 2004) is also great, which Wasteland, Through The Iris, and Insects originated from KATHY with a more raw, less polished sound to it.
Hey Nik. Thanks for saving me from total insanity. I've had a song I heard years ago from Rise of the Northstar stuck in my head for months, but I couldn't remember the name of the band, or the song, or anything and couldn't find it for the life of me. It's good to see that old nu metal bands still makes song. I grew up listening to nu metal and seeing the bands that I used to listen to adapt to the new style of metal nowadays is really great to see.
saw silly goose live and they had double the security of every other set at that stage. for their last song they asked for more people to be in the air than on the ground. i got full on dropped onto the gravel crowd surfing
Haven't had that happen, but did have someone that was getting crowd surfed dropped right on me from behind at a show(Rock on the Range when they had all the grunge bands headlining, killer show; so glad I got to see Cornell live), that was a good time LOL
10 years is like... early 2000's. Surprised you didn't know them as they're one of my favorite bands of the time. Wasteland and Beautiful are amazing songs
Actually suprised Alligatoah is on this list! His new album dropped this friday, and i love his shift/experimentation with Nü sounds as a German rap artist. The whole record is such a trip back.
Silly Goose is so cool. They line out of their truck while driving all around the US playing outside of shows letting out. Their sound and stage presence is incredible I’ve seen them twice.

what about Coal Chamber, Static-X?
remove LP and Bizkit, theyre rap metal. Add Slipknot and thats what nu metal is. 3 bands noone else
Tallah not being anywhere on that list is crazy. They have *several* songs that should absolutely be on there.
Tallah is so slept on its unreal.
