surprising when gen z doesnt like this. fun fact: i was born in 2010, making me a gen alpha, and metal and rock is so good. slipknot, megadeath, slayer, and korn are some of my favorite bands.
The dude pulling a Scott Stapp in the chorus of Chop Suey had me wheezing. And at the very least these kids know the bands and/or songs from this era much better than I initially thought they would've.
Love the thumbnail because it's exactly me and the same way how I had had my face looking down on them when it came to millennials and whoever reacted to the old bands 5 to 10 years ago. And so history repeats itself with them and then Gen Alpha, god I am not prepared for that and never will be.
Evanescence was pretty Nu Metal on their biggest album (Fallen). Yeah, there's no rapping or samplers, just bands like Mudvayne and Coal Chamber (even Korn most of the time) are also Nu Metal and they don't have these elements either. So I'd call Evanescence as an Alt. Metal band overall

Yes but also no
9:03 I remember this exact song playing on my 7th birthday bro😭
My mom was such an influence in my music taste, now she's christian and doesn't listen to anything but gospel stuff, but little does she know that that linkin park alarm just before getting to school left a mark on me forever, i might have been a 2000's sperm, but this old trash you guys call music has a place in my heart❤
As a gen z I do not apologize, they did pretty good on knowing it nu metal things considered, but as a proggy boi I've accepted a band like periphery will never get widespread appreciation. Can we talk about how crazy it is that system of a down got as hugely popular as they did as a political alt-metal band though?
Even if you don’t want to admit it, Bring me to life is indeed a great nu-metal song and one of the most iconic song ever create, every millennial growing up listen song, and even gen z and gen alpha know about this song. I'm tired to seeing people hate Evanescence for no reason.
Already waiting for “Gen ^|>,+] React to Skibidi Toilet”
Most vile garbage in the world
LOL
surprising when gen z doesnt like this. fun fact: i was born in 2010, making me a gen alpha, and metal and rock is so good. slipknot, megadeath, slayer, and korn are some of my favorite bands.
That was better than I thought it was gonna be. The kids might be alright!
Deftones hit a lot of eclectic tones with their stuff. "Digital Bath" and "Passenger" were incredible for the time.
as a 2000 kid I do not wanna associate with this generation anymore.
same bro same
1:38 that is a very fair point
The dude pulling a Scott Stapp in the chorus of Chop Suey had me wheezing. And at the very least these kids know the bands and/or songs from this era much better than I initially thought they would've.
my spine was an icicle for this entire video, i wish i could go back 10 minutes and one second in time
You gotta fix that cringe barometer of yours. Really wasnt that bad
@@clandon9624 maybe you’re just superhuman dude
@@sparda_ maybe so. But I tend to think of myself as someone who cringes easily
When dude did the Korn voice, I almost recruited him to my non-existent nu metal band.
Love the thumbnail because it's exactly me and the same way how I had had my face looking down on them when it came to millennials and whoever reacted to the old bands 5 to 10 years ago.
And so history repeats itself with them and then Gen Alpha, god I am not prepared for that and never will be.
2:20 i died a little inside
Hybrid theory is one of my favourite albums.
As it should be, Bizkit takes the cake. Thank you z dudes
to sit and watch this video with you i am going to be playing Lincoln Park in the background to calm myself.
Good thing about this video: they were all way more open minded than most of the younger people I've seen react to heavier music.
The bad: most of this wasn't actually 90's nu metal. 😅
That was pretty cool tbh. I kinda had no hope.
please know that we aren't all like this 😭
hey at least Jax knows about scene culture and can do a good jon davis RAHH? idk XD
The black jacked dude knew all, by tip of his tongue. I bet he was raised with lots of metal by proud metal head parents
I am gen z I play drums i am 18 long story sort I loved Linkin park when I was 5 and then slipknot when I was 6 it hurts me to see my generation make things so so so stupid
We'll convert one to Lorna soon enough.
I mean hybrid theory is from 2000, not really 90's...
3:01 That's Noah Grossman from Smosh. He's 27 years old and was born in 1997, so he's on the edge of being a millenial.
As The Offspring say, The kids aren't alright
Love that!😂
it actually went less worse than i expected
We live for your pain, Nik. Its a source of amusement in an otherwise grey existence. 😂
I think the acting was a bit exaggerated, but still funny - I survived it xD
OK plz chk this, but I think at 6:53 even Nik is wrong, the song the guy plays in the React video to the yungbluds, is not the song in NFS, that correct song is "The only" by Static X. Your welcome haha. 😅🤘
and skinnyman in most wanted :)
Im 29 and this shit cracks me up. Poor kids haven't gotten to hear good music
the conviction of how quick the chick said drowning pool was the best band of the video, I think she just became my new best friend
As a 17, I'm so sorry for them and I want to apologize even more for the cringe you've just faced
