The thing is: Baddiecore is such a new thing that if you’re making a playlist with 75 songs that gets updated monthly, you’re going to run out of Spiritbox, Sleep Token and Health copies and are going to have to start picking shoegazy, slow, sludgy and octane music because it just somewhat sounds like it, despite the fact that most of it was made before baddiecore was even a thing.

I literally have never been this early? wtf I gotta say as someone who started looking into the scene of metalcore/post-hardcore/blegh-core/whatever only a month ago (thanks coldrain) these Spotify playlists have been my guide through the music that became available to me.. it is really overwhelming not gonna lie. I am glad to have Nik's videos as a guideline for how legit these playlists really are and I am grateful for that. Thanks for doing this. I do learn 1 or 2 things on here weirdly enough.
I feel like Fireside by them would have been a better choice for this playlist. Also, "Would" by Alice In Chains is in here, which is for sure grunge, and is about Andy Wood's overdose
I think people can have many different interpretations to songs and what they mean, even before knowing what the song is actually about. I got a sad sensuality vibe from the song before knowing what it's about, but that's just me
This has been in my recommended stuff for half an eternity cause of how much Sleep Token, Crosses and Bad Omens I listen to, I'm surprised you only found this now lmao
I'm now realising at age 32 that I've been a baddie since I was like 10...Favourite bands when I was a kid - Korn, Deftones/Team Sleep, SOAD, Slipknot and Incubus. Favourite bands now I'm older - Sleep Token, Loathe, Silent Planet. Siamese are also a definite Baddie pick, and I get the BO comparison but I think Siamese did their style of Baddie core before BO released TDOPOM (Sorry BO stans). I've got to say Make Me Bad was the Korn song I wanted on here, I could feel the baddie in this once since I heard it back in early 2000s. While Change in the House of Flies is an obvious choice for Deftones and the number 1 spot, personally I'd have chosen Knife Party from White Pony, Cherry Waves form Saturday Night Wrist or Rosemary from Koi No Yokan. Also did not expect to see Whirr on here but pleasantly surprised they are! Although I've just added like 5 songs from this to my main playlist also so I'm not mad overall. Fleshwater, Graywave, Soul Blind. Dont know exactly what the genre is, but ive fallen in love with it over the course of the last year. Its deftones, but not horny, personally thats how i like it
Soul Blind fan here and you should definitely listen to Crawl into You and Falling Asleep or Seventh Hell definitely more grunge and my favorite songs of theirs !!!
