Glad I found this. I went from a 200 person dream wedding/venue to a 50 person backyard ceremony to a small elopement in hawaii and at this point it may or may not happen. :( I love your optimism, it's really hard for me to not be depressed about this.
Sarah Betz I completely get it girl. I basically had to mourn the loss of my dream wedding, but I’m telling you it’s going to be perfect no matter what! We got married last Sunday and we eloped, live streamed the ceremony, and had dinner with our family at my house after and it was seriously so perfect! Keep your trust in Jesus and he will always provide for you a better outcome than you could have ever hoped for 🤍
Thanks for sharing and congrats to you both! I'm currently trying to grapple with planning too, but have realized other people's expectations of our wedding is driving the stress. I'm getting married in 2 weeks, here in Michigan were still only doing the 100 people at gatherings. It's been rough here too girl, I understand. We're doing a backyard wedding & reception too. I'm feeling relieved were not the only ones who are doing this, and I feel like all those road bumps are just happening for a reason. ❤️ I hope the best for you & hope your wedding went well!

hi i have a question is it werid to have a bridal shower a year before your wedding cause instead of engagement party i’m doing bridal shower ?!?
Hey! I don't think so- plan how you think is best! The only thing I will say is be prepared to hold on to those gifts for a year if you aren't moving in until marriage! We skipped the engagement party too :)
