I am in the process of it right now and I still don't think 8k is a budget wedding. 8k you can book an actual venue that takes care of most of that crap, just not a super fancy one. If I can book a venue for 8k that takes care of most stuff, im definitely not going to spend 8k and worry about it all myself.
At first I was like $8K+ and they didn't have to pay for a venue? I was discouraged because we're on a budget and don't have the same cost-saving connections like a friend who owns a brewery, but then I realized her wedding had 120 RSVPs. So she did pretty great even with those hookups taken into account. My guest list is less than half that size and I'm hoping we can pull something similar off. I relate hard to caring and stressing about the aesthetic. I'm glad she felt her day was what she wanted, even with the compromises on things like fruitwood tables. Gives me hope.
Wish I could do that for my daughter I can't see spending 10G, that's crazy Forget that!!! I would feel better just giving them 10G to start their life together
The comments saying "oh my wedding cost me $30 in total" are so insufferable. Not everyone wants to do their wedding in the public park in a white dress from the thrift shop. It's so cool watching her break all this down. I've always thought of 15K as a lower budget wedding.
I guess the phrase "low budget" is relative to class, expectations and culture. To me $15,000 is a massive budget but to someone who makes a lot more, is upper class or has the traditional help from parents that is "their" version low budget. So in saying that. I can't and and won't knock her for probably having the most cost effective wedding among her peers.
"People who can't afford an expensive wedding are so insufferable." 🙄 Not everyone can afford $8000 on a wedding, and it's really frustrating to those people that every single video, book, blog, etc. acts like $8-10,000 is low budget, when it's really not. It's totally fine for people to spend whatever they want on their wedding, but there's NO CONTENT for people who simply can't afford it.
@@erika_7777 So why are yall all over this video bashing on her choices then? Watching and commenting is a choice. You don't have to do either yet here you are being salty. There literally is SO MUCH CONTENT for budget friendly weddings but you're clearly in the wrong place so chill out!
@@coffeesticks_03 You're the one being dramatic. I just told you why some people are making comments about this not really being "budget friendly" in their eyes. And no, there really isn't any content at all for cheaper weddings. I've looked. The people in the comments have looked. That's why some people are salty. At least they aren't being rude though. 🙄
I'm sitting here surprised because an Indian wedding costs $100,000+ and I'm not even exaggerating, good for you for sticking to a budget and doing the best in your means! It was beautiful
*some* people and *some* families are willing to help … not all families are generous or even care, at all...which is the main reason my fiancé and I are eloping...don't ever forget you're very fortunate to have a good family
I feel like I'm the only guy here planning a wedding for his bride lol. I currently work overseas. My fiancé, stepdaughter are coming K1/K2 visas (90 day fiancé style) that means we are well over $10k in just paperwork and plane tickets. Thanks to this video and the following comments from you awesome ladies, I know we will be able to have a lovely budgeted ceremony. Thanks!
I bought my wedding dress before too. David’s Bridal was having a crazy sale. I got a gorgeous dress that was supposed to be $800, for $190. I couldn’t pass that up
$8k+ for 120 people?! You did a great job!! Congratulations!! 🎉🎉 I am getting married next year BUT I am also a Wedding Planner so I have industry friends for a few vendors, I’m pretty handy & creative and know some great cost saving hacks after years of helping brides so I’m using them all. Our budget is $10k or $5k from each of us (less than a quarter of the national average) so we plan to stay well within that for our city wedding.🤞🏾🤞🏾
@@Bakerygo it's definitely my goal and my budget. I'm not wanting to spend more than that for a 1 day party/event and if it's a joke to you then go head and laugh bout it. I'm being dead ass serious. Nobody is funding the shit but me mostly. I don't have friends family or others who want to help "sponsor" me and I'm not about to end up like the rest who do 30k weddings and still are paying those loans off... but no offense to those who have bigger budgets that's cool if you have that luxury...
Biggest way we saved: Eloping with an at home reception. Our wedding-moon and reception altogether came in just under $10k with airfare (~$1650 total). We paid for everything as we went over 13 months leading up to the wedding and afterwards for the reception. The key to saving is really not being afraid to be unconventional when planning it and asking for help. The biggest cost saving changes were having an intentionally small reception (
I just went to a wedding where half of the guests were sober AA members. There was still alcohol, but so much didn’t get consumed because no one drank! 😂 you gotta know your audience
I just went to the photographers website to take a peek at your wedding - It was BEAUTIFUL! My budget is $7,000 but we don't really have a large network of friends with amazing skills like you do. It makes me happy how you kept saying how thankful and blessed you are - and that you understand that not everyone has amazing resources like you did. Congrats - again, this was beautiful!
Just a note because I also got married last year and I did my best to have a budget wedding. Sometimes it's just not going to be possible to have a beautiful wedding like this without spending a lot more money. We don't have any friends who have wedding venues, who are wedding photographers, who are florists, who do rentals, etc. I planned the entire wedding myself and loved it but I had to pay full price for everything unfortunately because that's life. The venue/catering is usually the biggest cost by far (usually the venue has caterers that you have to use), so that by itself was extremely expensive. The only thing I did have was a friend who makes cakes, and I got a huge discount on the cake (but I only saved like $300 on that). We had a lot more guests than Marah had because our parents are very traditional and needed to invite all the people they know, but that was okay because they helped us out with the costs. We skipped the open bar but had wine bottles and champagne flutes at the tables. We're lucky that we found a venue we loved that allowed us to bring our own drinks and desserts, most don't (with the exception of the cake of course). Just keep in mind for people who are hoping for a beautiful wedding but want to spend under $10K, it might not be possible if you don't know somebody that can rent you a venue and furniture for super cheap, unfortunately
I agree! Not everyone has friends who can offer these things. Also, no one should expect that their friends can do anything for them. (Not saying this was the case with the video). Businesses are supposed to make money, so you cannot expect your friends who own something to lose money by doing you a favor for your wedding. I also do not think that you should expect your friends to help with making decor or set up/clean up of the venue. If your friend is a photographer, should they not be enjoying your wedding instead of working? That is just how I feel. My husband and I were married just over three years ago and spent just under $3000 on everything for our wedding, reception, and minimoon. We only had seven guests, so it was easier to keep the costs lower. We got an amazing deal on our photographer ($300 for 2 hours rather than her typical $1800/4hr minimum) by pure luck, but everything else came with lots of research and a great deal of work. I personally constructed a total of 30 ft of rolled paper rose garland over the course of a few months. I used a couple of books that had been ruined and about 10 sheets of colored paper to roll the roses. I used tule and flower foam from Dollar Tree to make the base. I think I spent $12. I know that it was less than $15. Because of our budgeting and hard work, we were also able to give each of our guests a book, (each book was personally selected for the guest), a crystal , and a nice pair of chopsticks. (We had a dim sum dinner with some other typical American Chinese dishes because my husband and I love that type of food. It was from our favorite local Chinese restaurant. We are friendly with the owners.) Surprisingly, even with the tight budget and work, planning was pretty stressfree. It ended up being perfect. I applaud you for being able to budget and plan for that many people! I could not have had a big wedding. Nor could my husband. Luckily, I only speak with one of my sisters and her children, hence the aforementioned niece, so no need to invite my large family. At the time, my husband chose not to invite his much-loved mother due to certain situations at the time. Not inviting her meant not inviting his even larger family. (It was the right choice, but I do wish things had been different then so that she could have been there.) It would have been hell.
🙌holy cow everything you said was brilliant! I am a former wedding coordinator and over the years I have thought up so many ways to have a cheap classy wedding and you just gave me so many more ideas! The total budget for my wedding for 100 people is $5,000 and I know you went over but I totally see how I could use some of your tips to make it to my goal. And I live in Austin too!!
What inspires me the most about your video is that you asked for help and used your network for your big day. Not only this way of doing things costs less, it also seems to make the relationships stronger. Thank you for sharing your experience. God bless you 🙏🏻
Omg, we expected 270 people to be there, only about 240 came and we still ran out of food!! I didn't even know until 2 months later when a friend told us.
hillary 96 renteria historically yes. Of course the bride and groom can do what they want but usually the bridesmaid pays for their own dresses. Some brides will pay for hair and makeup so everyone looks cohesive and a fun bonding moment and some brides don’t care and are happy for her wedding party do their own hair and makeup the way they are comfortable.
hillary 96 renteria Since you asked the question, I’ll bet you’ll be invited to one soon. 😊 But yeah, so if anyone ever asks you to be their bridesmaid just know that you may be paying for your own dress, shoes and possibly hair and makeup if the bride doesn’t hire those people to do everyone the day of. If the wedding is a destination, you’ll also be paying for your own travel so keep that in mind as well. So typically as a bride you’re just paying for a gift for your wedding party, their bouquets and boutonnières and food while you all get ready (the groom and his guys will usually be out to eat or golfing or something so they may be paying for that) and if you’re feeling generous and/or a bit controlling you may be footing the bill for your bridesmaids hair and makeup but that’s not an expectation at all. I’m a wedding planner but also getting married next year and my bridesmaids are doing their own hair, nails and makeup if they want. They are also my sisters so I may pay for it all as a treat for them anyway because well they’re my sisters. Lol!!
This is exactly what I want! My boyfriend and I have been planning our future (wedding, house, etc) and we both would rather spend money in real estate than our wedding and this is amazing!! Thank you!
Yes! It is insane how much weddings cost. Honestly if it was not for my parents offering to pay for mine we would not be getting married. We don't have money to spend on a wedding. We hardly get by with our living expenses let alone have money to throw at a wedding.
Honestly, when it comes to planning a wedding when your on a budget, definitely use your resources. For my fiancee's and I wedding in the future, my parents told me they'll handle all the food costs, as long as we get actual caterers, and my fiancee's dad happens to be in a pretty good band. So we'll have a live band in our wedding which is just amazing.
I spent $4,000 on a wedding that held 250 people. I think something to consider is whether to buy or rent. I bought the table cloths and silverware 2nd hand and then sold it. My flowers were from Costco. My caterer did $8.00/plate because she needed a reference. My photographer needed something for his portfolio. We DID NOT have alchohol. My reception and wedding venue was $250 because It was a a local mega church..... there are many ways to spend way under 8 grand with twice the amount of people BUT it takes intense planning and lots of diy
This is the most helpful video from all the others I’ve seen so far! Thank you! 🤍 aesthetics are so important to me too and my budget is 5-10k so 8 is perfect, that’s goals!
As someone who also had a lower budget wedding (lower being between $15,000-20,000 for 150 people), I really recommend spending more on a photographer. I do photography, so I am especially picky. I went with a girl who is newer to the wedding photography scene, but had a great portfolio. She did a lovely job and she captured some of my favorite moments that I will have in frames forever. HOWEVER, she was not as skilled at posing larger groups, so my bridesmaid photos are mostly just boring standing-in-line stuff. I was a little disappointed by that, so that is definitely something to think about (and maybe consider having some chairs or other items on-hand to make fun poses a little easier and make sure you get what you want). Congrats on your nuptials, Marah! It sounds like I got married just 5 days after you! :)
Your video was in my suggestions and I'm so grateful! My fiance and I have two months to plan our wedding with about the same budget! So far we've just seen God provide in so many ways already but man its tough to let things go or prioritize other things! Your wedding was so beautiful! Glad I came across you
Lisa Experimentalveggie thank you so much! i periodically post pictures from the wedding on two of my instagram accounts @marah.goralczyk & @harmony.moments (joint account w/ my husband), but i can definitely plan on making a follow up video on how i put together the aesthetic of my wedding if that would be helpful! :)
Marah Lee I would love a separate video on it! I’ve been hunting for items at the thrift store like brass candlesticks. I love your little letter boards that you did.
This video was not only helpful but encouraging! Me and my fiancé have been looking at venue after venue, and they've been beautiful but so insanely pricey. And a lot of the things you talked about - keeping it simple, making it personal, etc.. - is something that's important to me and causing me to re-evaluate a lot of the planning I've done this past month. Thank you for sharing!
Just recently got engaged and this video was so encouraging! Your wedding was absolutely beautiful, especially for your budget! We only have 6 months til we get married, so I really wanted to just do a simple courthouse wedding. But my family was really saddened by that idea (especially my mom!), so I've been trying to find a good middle-ground :) And so far so good, I found my dress for $200 and I LOVE it. It was from a non-profit that takes donated dresses and the proceeds go to charity. Here's to hoping the rest of the planning goes as smoothly 😂❤️
I also got my dress from a charity shop, and it was the best money-saving decision ever! plus I loved the idea of being less wasteful for something that I was only going to wear once, and to give back to charity at least a small part of what I was spending for the wedding
I just found a public park venue in New Jersey that is $50 for four hours, excluding setup and cleanup time. It's called the LeGrande Park Pavilion in Fanwood, NJ.
My husband and I got married in my parent’s front yard!! With all of the decor and the minister we spent under $1,000. :) Also I bought my dress from JC Penny and it was around $60!
Me and my wife had a free wedding. We used clothes we already have, I wore my suit and she wore a white dress she had. Her dad made the cake and my sis did the ceremony.
Glad you had a gorgeous wedding for a reasonable cost! $8000 is def way less than some folks pay. I helped to organize two weddings for family & friends who were unable to spend anything like the average cost. One bride made her gown, another bought one online for under $100. Grooms wore khakis and white shirts. I bought silk flowers from Amazon and made bouquets for the bride and maid of honor and boutinners for the grooms & best men. We selected beautiful, outdoor public locations and had a friend/chaplain lead the ceremony. Guests stood or bought a lawn chair. Both brides had non wedding cakes made. Both had wedding dinners which included dancing to a favorite song and cutting of the cake. Neither wedding- total- cost more than $800. They are some of the most memorable weddings I've been to. So one doesn't need to spend ten of thousands of dollars to have a lovely, memorable, beautiful wedding. :)
My husband and I got married for the cost of a marriage license basically. Our officiant was a close friend who had connections to a place with a gazebo and we got married their for free. We took some close friends as witnesses and that was that. All sides of the family supported our decision and how we wanted to do it. We want to do a vowel renewal for family on our 5 year anniversary.
My wedding was $5,000, but no one helped me. So half of my decorations didn’t even get used. All of my “friends” who said they would help showed up an hour before my ceremony to setup.....they are no longer my friends. It was mostly our mom’s & their friends who helped with food. My dress was custom made ($500) but looked NOTHING like the picture I sent the seamstress (who was my moms friend.) I almost just bought a $200 much more beautiful dress right before my wedding. My venue was beautiful though! It was an outside wedding at an equestrian center. I also had no alcohol.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your clear and honest tips! I'm so amazed that you did 120 people for such a good budget! love the details and really appreciate your honesty :)
I’m getting eloping next week, and we just moved into our new home so I’m frantically ordering since we didn’t know if we could get celebrate in a new home. You’ve calmed me down. But our weddings are pretty different. We have less than 20 people and live-streaming our ceremony. 🤩
I loved your tips! Our wedding is budgeting out to $11,000 with everything we wanted, but I think after watching your video, I can make some adjustments and hopefully it comes down to $8,000
Calhoun Interiors dang just venue and photographers I want is 10,000 wtf how am I doing this so wrong. Every place or person I find is 5,000. Now I want to cry lol
Hi Marah, don't worry, not only your friends are watching this video:) I am getting married next summer, and my fiance and I just personally don't want to spend a huge amount of money on this 1 short day, so we also try to figure out what is important for us - and what is not. Luckily, for me decor is not important at all - so we probably would save a ton of money on this. Also we decided to book a fancy villa in Montenegro - the villa itself and the view on the sea is so breathtaking beautiful, that we don't really need to many things to make it look nice. Also, really liked your cake idea - I also don't get it why I would spend 300-400 usd on a cake
Lol I'm lucky. If I get married in Malaysia we have these traditional houses called "longhouses" that accommodate around 30 families - 50 families (everyone related)! Everyone in the longhouse contributes to the wedding by cooking up dishes that are shared with everyone, and most of the weddings cost under a couple thousand.
Love the aesthetic of your wedding! I feel like your wedding planning experience was so similar to mine! I was a bit shocked about how much a professional wedding photographer costs in my area. I also purchased a dress online that was not a “wedding dress” too.
Very helpful. My fiancé and I are getting married in 4 months and we got engaged about a month ago. And covid19. Yikes! We are also using this opportunity to purchase/make things for our home and garden since we are going to have our ceremony and reception at his house. I am pretty modest and have trouble asking for help (especially from my parents) so I am working on that. In the end, we just want to share a special day with our family and that doesn't have to cost a fortune.
Thank you for making this video! I found it really helpful. I've been looking into wedding planning and honestly 8000 dollars isn't that much at all. You definitely put the money into good use and your wedding looked beautiful and fun!
The best way to keep it low budget is to limit your guest list. A small guest list also gives you the opportunity to talk with all of your guests. I hate going to weddings that are so big that you only see the couple from across the room. We had a micro wedding with seven guests. Our reception was a sit-down dim sum (and other Chinese dishes) dinner party where we sat at a large table with all our guests. Obviously not for everyone, but our total costs came out to be just under $3000. That includes everything: rings, location, photographer, wedding favors, decor, outfits, minimoon, etc... Good luck planning! I hope you and your new spouse have an amazing wedding and marriage!
You had a beautiful wedding!! I agree with you - figure out what is most important to you (photography is my #1 as well!) and go from there. Thanks for the tips and inspiration. Here's hoping we can pull it off too!
This was super helpful - thank you for sharing your experience and advice! I'm super impressed that you kept your budget so low and still had the wedding you really wanted!
I spent like a year looking for my dress and bought it 6 months before he proposed! LOL! We had been talking about marriage for a few years - I customized mine, too - ended up being $350 after I added my custom pieces to it 🙂
Such amazing advice, thank you so much for sharing! I have been planning our wedding and it is super similar to what yours is like - paddock wedding with a Woodfired pizza van!
Should have came to mine... I only had 28 people, my dad ordered as if he was feeding 100! Filipino culture, you NEVER run out of food. You stuff your guest till they cant get out of their seats.
Omg I’m so glad I came across your channel! I’m in the SA area and for my future wedding (lol not engaged but look forward to planning that day) this is soooo similar to what I want and gave me hope after having friends that are planning weddings for 40,000+ 😭💓
I'm watching this because my hubs & I didn't get a wedding but are someday planning to have a renewal ceremony that will be the wedding we didn't get before & I'm always looking for tips to save money on it 💗
I’d like to get married in a field or wooded area as well. Can you tell me more about how you got permission to use this area? Did you pay for it? Was the land owned by someone you know?
Very old and late comment. But just so you know and others in the future. Traders Joes has an amazing return policy (even if you open the item) you can still return it for a full refund. So those who plan on using trader joes in the future and want to buy wine but do not know how much, buy more than you need and just return the unopened ones.
Idk why I’m here I’m too young (for my own liking) to get married & literally nobody has ever dated me but you bet I’m totally ready to plan my budget wedding now. All I need is a groom and some friends haha.
We spent around $4,000 for a full sit down dinner for 75 people at a very elegant waterfront venue, where we also had our ceremony. We asked for no gifts, and instead we sold dinner tickets at $40 for a three course meal with 2 glasses of wine. For an extra $10 you bought a ticket to the reception which was a valentine's slow dance event that we attend every year for our anniversary - which friends of ours put on with DJs and drag shows. All my decorations were hand crafted by me or were bought second hand, and I sold them all afterwords, making money off most things I had made, or breaking even on the second hand items I bought. My rings were included in the final total. Even my dresses - yes, I had two, were second hand and I sold the bigger one for what I paid for it. All in all, the best day of my life - with no debt.
We spent 50,000. Could not have happened without the help of our family. They paid for about half and we paid for the other half. If left up to pay for everything ourselves our wedding would’ve been much smaller. Grateful for the help we had.
Really appreciated this video! Your transparency is amazing! I’m in the same boat as you were, my bf and I are planning to get married soon so I’m just waiting. 🤷🏻♀️ We don’t want to spend a lot of money and I’ve always wanted a super intimate and personal wedding. Thanks so much!
Would love to know if you DIY'd your dance floor & if you have a video tutorial on that! Looking to do something similar as we are getting married in my soon to be inlaws backyard potentially and I love the way this looks!
I got my wedding dress from Bridal Connection on 281 near a Doña Tota for $700 with tax, only paid half the day of so around $350 and then the rest when it's ready so plenty of time to save up. I was gonna have my wedding in San Antonio but moved last minute to Hawaii (military lifestyle) so now pushing that back till family can save up to visit
I just found your channel and your content is sooo helpful and real! I am happy to find someone with a similar lifestyle as my own and desires to honor the Lord with their marriage.
To all the people ganging up on people saying 8k is a lot...l leave them alone I know plenty of beautiful weddings that are 5k and lower. Especially I leave so close to Mexico and can buy super cheap wedding decorations and chairs, tables. And especially doing alterations on the dress no more than 80 dollars and they do amazing jobs. It’s all about finding deals. There’s nothing wrong with not wanting to spend a huge some of money.

My fiancé and I are long distance and most of our savings are going towards visas.... we’re trying to have a wedding for 1k. The biggest budget saver of all time is to call in every favor from every friend/family member you've ever known in your life to help you do literally anything at your wedding. My sister in laws wedding had all hands on deck. Friends built the "outdoor church" from scratch, all the aunts on both sides did all the flower arrangements from flowers the brides mom and dad spent a few months growing themselves, I did the rehearsal dinner photography, my dad and uncle helped cook for the rehearsal dinner, a friend did the brides make-up and hair, her family loaned a lot of the rustic pieces for the wedding, some other friends did all the dinner set-up and made 5 different cakes for the wedding, a friend played the guitar as the bride walked down the aisle, and the brides dad married them. Imagine having to pay for all of that when you have people willing and able to help you. Do not be afraid to ask really nicely because you would be surprised.

I couldn’t pass that up
That's amazing!
Giiiiirl you did it. You did a wedding under 10k!!! In 2019. Shiet.... ur my idol lol
10K is a budget? Is that a joke?
Bakerygo my friends going to have one for about 15 grand. And that’s about half the average in my state!
Bakerygo If people can afford to spend $10k on their wedding then why does it matter?
Minjee Right! That’s awesome!
I’m not even close to getting married but I’m such a planner/budgeter. I’m so glad I found this video ! Thank you so much for the insight.
And I live in Austin too!!
aw love this! thanks so much & i’m so glad you found something useful!! :)
The biggest way I saved was by having no brides maids and grooms men
why did that save a lot of money?
englishtearose wait a bridesmaid has to buy her own dress? I had no idea
hillary 96 renteria historically yes.
Creative Life oh I see. I’ve never even been to a wedding so I didn’t know.
hillary 96 renteria Since you asked the question, I’ll bet you’ll be invited to one soon.
Thank you!
a $8,000 wedding is considered a budget wedding? Oh boy.... not getting married I guess.
Sia Chang the average american wedding costs $25,000 so... yes :)
The average wedding in America is much closer to $32,000
Marah Lee my wedding was in Orlando 2 years ago and it only costed us $110 lol
Yes! It is insane how much weddings cost. Honestly if it was not for my parents offering to pay for mine we would not be getting married. We don't have money to spend on a wedding. We hardly get by with our living expenses let alone have money to throw at a wedding.
I wouldn’t spend more than $3k ever. I wouldn’t pay more than $200 INCLUDING tax and alterations for a wedding dress
We love hearing brides who saved money and didn't spend a ton. Great tips! ❤
That fruit chantilly cake from Whole Foods is the best! Soo good
As someone who also had a lower budget wedding (lower being between $15,000-20,000 for 150 people), I really recommend spending more on a photographer.
Glad I came across you
Your wedding looked gorgeous! Where can I see more pictures? So many great ideas. Congrats!
Im getting married next week and our biggest money saver has been having our families make all the food for dinner sort of a pot-luck style :)
But my family was really saddened by that idea (especially my mom!), so I've been trying to find a good middle-ground :)
And so far so good, I found my dress for $200 and I LOVE it.
Also I bought my dress from JC Penny and it was around $60!
That wedding dress is to die for
Me and my wife had a free wedding.
I’m getting married in October and our budget it $2,000 and so far we’re doing well keeping to that! 🥰🥰
I’m 22 , with a bf and not thinking of marriage anytime soon but loved this video , I had a smile the whole time watching it !
Sending a "pre-invite" before the official invite is such a good idea!
Yeah...its called save the dates
Buying flowers and aditional greenery from a wholesaler online is SUCH A GREAT IDEA!
Hi Marah, don't worry, not only your friends are watching this video:)
I am getting married next summer, and my fiance and I just personally don't want to spend a huge amount of money on this 1 short day, so we also try to figure out what is important for us - and what is not.
This was so helpful! My boyfriend and I are planning on getting married in March and are trying to do a low budget wedding too! Thanks!
Elphaba Richardson thank you! :)
I hope everything went well with this whole virus, please give us an update if you can 💕
Becca Krackow we decided to get married on February 8th right before the virus came around so it was perfect! :)
@@cupcakelover1354 yay! Congrats to you 💕 you had perfect timing! Lol
Awesome! We did a woodfire pizza set up too. It was such a highlight.
weddings are crazy expensive, thats amazing you were able to do it under 10k and it was gorgeous
What a helpful video! Congratulations on throwing such a beautiful wedding on a great budget. Thanks for sharing, you're such a sweetheart!
I’ve been to weddings where they ran out of food LOL I had bread rolls for dinner 🤨
Should have came to mine... I only had 28 people, my dad ordered as if he was feeding 100! Filipino culture, you NEVER run out of food. You stuff your guest till they cant get out of their seats.
@@gthebron1 lol Arab culture is also like that 😅
Indians are same as well...
Omg I’m so glad I came across your channel! I’m in the SA area and for my future wedding (lol not engaged but look forward to planning that day) this is soooo similar to what I want and gave me hope after having friends that are planning weddings for 40,000+ 😭💓
You for sure don't have to spend that much! We had our dream wedding for WAY less. You can totally do a beautiful wedding on your budget.
Your friends aren't watching. Friends are... not supportive.
But I am watching😍
I'm watching this because my hubs & I didn't get a wedding but are someday planning to have a renewal ceremony that will be the wedding we didn't get before & I'm always looking for tips to save money on it 💗
This is awesome! Thank you for sharing!!!! I have a huge huge family, and my bf too! But I dream to have a small intimate wedding.
Oh my goodness! Plan my future wedding! Your wedding was beautiful!!!
I love this!!!! My wedding is next year and I am learning sooooo much. I need all the help I can get.
What a beautiful wedding! I also didn't realize you live in Austin too until the end of the video either and I got so excited lol
Don't forget to check with your state law first to see if you can return alcohol :)
Considering how expensive a wedding can be($20,000+) you did sooo well budgeting !! Thank so much for the video!!
Where is your top/dress from? Thank you for making this video! Your wedding looked amazing!
Helen Guo thank you!! urban outfitters :)
One of the most helpful budget friendly wedding planning video I have come across! Thank you!
Where were the sparkler cake toppers from!? They’re adorable.
I’m too young to be watching this-
Me too lol 😂
so many great tips and ideas thank you!!! Your wedding looked absolutely beautiful!
Thank you for this video! I just got engaged, and I don't know where to start. Sending love from the Philippines 💕
Thank you so much for this video. I just got engage and you have the same style that I was imagining for my wedding. You helped a lot!
I live in seguin and just recently got engaged!! I would love to know where exactly you got married so that I can look into it!
Would love to know if you DIY'd your dance floor & if you have a video tutorial on that! Looking to do something similar as we are getting married in my soon to be inlaws backyard potentially and I love the way this looks!
Omg i live in San Antonio and I’m having a small low budget wedding in April! Thanks for the tips ill be looking at some of those vendors :)
Thank you for sharing your wedding planning experience! Learn a lot.
Loved the advice, good things to keep in mind.
Oh and that curly spider plant on the wall shelf - distractingly cute 🥰
I just found your channel and your content is sooo helpful and real! I am happy to find someone with a similar lifestyle as my own and desires to honor the Lord with their marriage.
How sweet💗 You are gorgeous together🤗 I wish you a very long, happy, healthy life together💗💗
This video is sooo helpful! Thank you for sharing!
Just got engaged so preparing myself for the planning :) Thank you soo much for making this video, there were some really great tips and advice that I will definitely be taking onboard!
Also your wedding looked AMAZING!
omg your skin is flawless
Wooooow, you did AMAZING for 120 people!! 😍👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Love the esthetic of your special day! Congratulations! 💗
This is no hate at all but I had to chuckle over spending $269 on a rug and then being on the fence about a cake. I love how unique your wedding was!
Raelle D'Altilio everyone’s priorities are different :)
My fiancé and I are long distance and most of our savings are going towards visas.... we’re trying to have a wedding for 1k. Got my dress for 250 and I’m in love (it’s a floor model people tried on so it’s got minor pilling. The dry cleaner can get that off easily . Just a tip for other budget brides).
So smart! We did long distance too. It's so much better to save on your wedding too!
Our Kind of Crazy long distance is CRAZY hard but it has its benefits I think! Makes you so close and good at communication. Dang I’d love to have some of your insight on planning! I’m based in Texas and my Fiancé is in UK so it’s kinda messy planning 😂
@@maceym.3162 Oh for sure! Long distance definitely made us stronger. We're in Texas too! Just moved here. We have lots of posts about wedding planning on the blog if you're interested. It's linked in our videos. ❤
girl, you did amazing $8k for 120 guests? incredible. It all looks so beautiful, too!!
Thank you for the tips. Planning a budget wedding it’s so difficult lol . Thank you.
Good stuff going to send your link to my future bride.
Thank you SO much for this. You did a great job and gave me many ideas for my wedding. This looked beautiful and very well done. Thank you!
