I'm fascinated with the meta reason for Rosho existing (having an interesting pairing for Sasara to make their division more cohesive and marketable) also being in-story Rosho's biggest emotional struggle. He loves Sasara and wants to live up to his expectations and be his partner, but also can't handle the pressure of playing second fiddle to a genius. I actually really love seeing an older adult character continue to struggle with things like passion and identity, as those narratives are usually assigned to younger characters, even though many adults will struggle through the exact same issues, especially in our 20's lol.
These Hypmic character analysis videos are really amazing! I've been a Hypmic fan since before the first DRB yet your videos have still given me some more insight into the characters through adding more cultural context!! Amazing scripts!!!
Rosho is one of my favorite characters in his franchise! I think he is beginning to stand on his own as a character. Still a great video!

But for real, I never saw Rosho as a balancer for DH but you saying that: Scoundrels need suckers and performers need audience clicks and actually solidifies DH as a team.
Plus Rosho->Einstein (Tensai)->Sasara. With Rosho literally everything could link back to Sasara... Which makes one hopeful that he has more chances to stand on his own.

When you mentioned black takoyaki I laughed because he actually made that in the drama cd when the teams got all mixed up. It's so true, at first glance Rosho is very mundane, but when you look at him closely he is very relatable and I just love his relationship with Rei and Sasara and his students.
Can't wait for you to dissect our clown Sasara 🤡😍 Alongside Hifumi, Doppo and Jyuto, Sasara is my fave.

Yo thanks for these. Hypmic doesn’t have a lot of English translations so it was hard to get to know the characters. Now that I understand rosho on a deeper level, I think he is a very cool guy
Rosho is my absolute favorite. First I thought he was kinda meh, until I heard him stutter in 'ah osaka dreamin' night'. and ever since that I have totally fallen in love with him. I find him extremely relatable and sweet. His interactions with Sasara and Rei are neat, but even on his own I find him extremely enjoyable. As far as I know he's one of the least favorite characters of the fandom. but to me he's an absolute king!!! ^0^
Yipppee I'm glad to see another hypmic breakdown!! I first thought Rosho would be a pretty boring character and he didn't really interest me but after getting more into hypmic and listening to all the drama tracks he definitly grew on me a lot :)

I'm so glad you're back! Rosho was a sleeper character for me until I read the DH/BAT manga. I'm wondering if you or anyone else could figure out his "joke" style during the comedy school auditions. Anyway! Can't wait for the next vid!

Just the current divisions for now. But who knows, maybe if we get more Chuohku albums in the future, there could be enough material for me to work with.
I hope we get more Chuohku. I want to see them do more than just standing in a room saying vague ominous things. I want more Ichijiku being Nemu’s big sister! I want Nemu to do something!
