I bought the Scout bobber with the 100hp engine and ABS…. I was a new rider…..but the Scout Bobber was so easy to ride at the beginning….even though it could produce crazy power….it was also crazy easy to learn and get familiar with riding….

@BM-of6dg luckily the Rogue came with blacked out heads, I bought the 60 because and extra 3k for 113cc wasn't worth it and I wanted the black heads, it's still fun to blast around the city with and I already own a 2020 triumph rocket and victory magnum..the 60 is still my go to

@J35Y6 Yes, I think power and weight are manageable for new rider. It's not a lightweight bike but with the seat height so low it's not a problem imo. With time and practice it gets easier to move around. It's has a decent amount of power and totally manageable if you're a responsible individual.

My friend rec this video. Glad he did. i’m a 22+ year rider. Had mostly Yamaha VStar cruisers. I’m lil but can handle and straddle the bike confidently. after a year of not having a bike I’m looking I was looking at the 2 of Triumph small models, the Kawasaki 900 Vulcan and of course the Indian scout models including the regular scout and the Scout 60 and the Scout 20.
yes after seeing this video it narrows it down for me not a fan of the blacked out engine, I like my chrome, I like the smooth ride and was always looking for 6th gear and can have that with The Scout. but I do like the beachcomber wide bars, easier to handle for a little lady. I may opt for the laced rims of the Scout 20. Gona prob get the Exhaust 2into 1 for the more throatier sound and gonna continue doing a little more research. THank You! This video was informative

As a new rider with no experience in riding other than have taken the MSF course I recently purchased the 2023 Scout Bobber ABS used with 1200 mileage. The best decision I’ve made; I took it easy in riding around the block to get familiar with the friction zone and braking. I love the bike! I upgraded the Halogen headlights to LEDs from Eagle Lights and upgraded the foot-pegs with floor-boards I purchased from Amazon under $100. Next upgrade will be the exhaust pipes.

I think Harley has them, but not by much. Why I soured on Harley was their "service @ sale", which is beyond HORRIBLE !! But I was looking at a used Bonneville Bobber, & a buddy said try the Indian. Long time rider just now starting to consider the Scout Sixty as a choice. No need for the extra power in the regular Scout. Too many folks want the biggest and strongest something. Sometimes it's useful for two up travel, but mostly too many riders have the attitude or "culture" thing. Enjoy your own ride and be safe, and represent the riding community.

I own both Scout and the 60. Your opinion is sad. I've ridden my 60 coast to coast as well as the scout, at 70mph there's no difference. There isn't much difference Between the two. Save the 3 grand and buy the 60. If you want more power which is your choice, but the big bore kit for $1200 installed by a mechanic it nearly equals the scouts base price abs you end up with more power. More torque.

Coming from older Harley's I would consider the Scout 60 to be anemic by any means. Nearly 80 horsepower on a motorcycle is still a lot of power. I remember when sport bikes were struggling to get to 100 horsepower.
No matter what you ride they'll always be something faster. That doesn't make what you have slow. Personally I would probably get the scout 60. Having a 5-speed instead of a 6-speed doesn't bother me at all. I've learned for highway riding it's more important what your top gear ratio is, rather than how many gears you have.

Scout Rogue and Scout Rogue 60 are the only 2 id consider cuz the other versions are ugly as sin even though they're all the same bike just different variations. The Rogue just makes that bike look and feel like it's meant to be. If I were Indian I would just scrap the bobber and regular scout and just make the Rogue the Scout and offer the 60 version Rogue too as Scout 60. Id rather they offer a different lower cc lower cost bike than offer all these variations of the same bike being the Scout when the 1 version offers the whole package already. Give us a different 1000-1200cc bike and it will slim the lineup but also add more variety without it being superficial.
I love my Iron and did alot of work to it and just finished it last week so once it gets warmer ill make some yt shorts showing it off. I almost got the Scout Rogue and test rode both the 60 and normal version and the 60 felt a little quicker than my stage 1 Iron 883 as far as off the line but barely but the bigger difference was the 60 being smoother with more top end and is definitely better on the highway than my Iron. The full Scout Rogue was where I really felt the difference between my Iron and Scout and I am considering getting one as my 2nd bike when I can afford it cuz I will not trade in or sell my Iron cuz I still find it to be a much funner and more authentic riding experience than any other bike ive rode by far includingthe Indians!
There is a big difference for me at least between vibrations on a bike. It's either good vibration or bad and my Iron has good vibration where its purely feedback vibration of what you are doing making it feel very engaging. It never has felt uncomfortable to me unless im cruising 80 mph + for long stretches say 30+ miles on highways. I do crave a more modern better highway bike though so im considering a few bikes including Scout Rogue. But I gotta say, there is nothing like a nice day riding an Iron through the curvy mountainsides between 30-70 mph. What a tremendously healing and therapeutic experience! Lord knows I need my days to heal too and this brutal Northeast winter weather needs to go f off already cuz I need my therapy!!

Talk about 114 hp in a bike that is 420 lbs and that is a blast. I have an XSR 900 and it is an absolute beast. The acceleration is unreal and you can carve corners surprisingly well for an upright bike. I'm temped to buy a Scout bobber in the future for a more chill bike but still keep my XSR. The XSR makes you want to do pulls well above the speed limit. Not to mention the 0 to 60 time is around 3 seconds.

I haven’t rode the six speed but was under the impression that the five speed in fifth gear was the same ratio as sixth in the six speed. I bought a 2022 Rogue 60 and it is very satisfying to ride.

@@my92yj It looks like that changed in 2020. Pre-2020 they both had 4.087. The regular had 4.087 for sixth and the sixty had 4.087 for fifth. Indian's website shows it changing beginning with the 2020 model year where they went to 3.81 for sixth on the regular scout and kept 4.087 for the fifth on the sixty.

Its not 69hp it's 78 like he said in the video, and the 5th gear is basically the 6th gear there is not a big difference. If you want a more powerful, more premium feel get the regular scouts, if you don't really care much about power and just want enough while being still being comfortable on highway and road get the Sixty since it cost less

If new, Scout 60 regardless of the differences. However, if a returning rider, you will kick yourself for not getting the Scout.

Scouts 6th gear. Why have you not made a simple edit? Inaction speaks as loudly as action. The fact that you are not
concerned enough about making sure your veiwers are presented with acurate information means that I will no longer view

I’m torn between getting rid of my 2015 Iron 883 to get a scout bobber (reg or 60) I just can’t get over the chinkiness of the Indian. The Indian looks good, great in fact. I’ve just set my 883 up in a way that’s awesome. Plus the high ass extra charges Indian does like freight and prep which I know Harley does too but not as bad given the quotes I’ve received.
