  • After injuries and accidents we develop scar tissue in the muscles, tendons and ligaments. Scar tissue decreases our range of motion limiting the function of the joint(s). I have discussed this more in detail so you may have a better understanding in taking care of your underlying injury and pathologies. Dr. Mandell

Hi Doc, how how much pressure would you use, does it have to be painfully deep or bearable pain to straighten out scar tissue? What works best ?

In 2015 I was mountain biking and was hit by another cyclist. I swerved and my head hit a tree head on snapping my neck severe left. I’ve now have off the charts pain in my sub scapula left side. I can use feel a balled up knot that moves up and down all day long. I’m in severe pain about an hour after I get up. Please, do you know how to eliminate this? Injections haven’t worked, nor deep tissue massage, pain pills, and arrostti. I used to be so active and now I can hardly move around. I’d really appreciate any help. Teresa

I had major back surgery almost a year ago a fusion on my L1, L4,and L5 also a artifical disc put in. Over the summer my equipment started giving me issues, I also can't even touch my lower back without extreme pain. They recently did tests and told me I had fluid like an abscesses in my lower back and fluid in my joints. My surgeon says it's due to scar tissue and I need it removed, any advice?

motivationaldoc that's what my surgeon said as he was showing me the MRI. What I could see was fluid forming not only in my lower back but in my spinal cord under my disc's.

my mother in law had csf leak repair and has now developed scar tissue around the surgery area which is now causing numbness and tingling sensation first on one leg, then both legs, then now it's on her arms, she has been slowly dealing with a decrease in range of motion. Doctors have said she needs surgery to remove scar tissue but they also claim it may not help and/or scar tissue may return at a later time. What do you suggest? We have had several MRI's done

Do u think scar tissue can be fixed by hijama which is wet cupping or is shockwave therapy better. My case is in the heel area.

Or you can just learn for yourself what to do and then do it for free, without having to pay some guy an arm and a leg to do something for you that you can do for yourself.
