My doc advised me to use the silicon sheet and vaseline for the next 3 months. SO, Do I need to apply the silicon sheet over the vaseline on the incision. Or I need to wash away vaseline to have a clean side so I can put on the silicon sheet. Just confused here whether I should apply both simultaneously or one at a time making the incision dry and clean ?
    Thanks!

      @bearnecessiteespolio5359 7 місяців тому +2

Both methods are fine. As long as the vaseline doesn't prevent the sheet from sticking.
The idea of the silicone sheet is to stop the air from drying out the area, and that is really the same purpose as the vaseline.
So you can use either of them, or use both together.
Perhaps just the thinnest layer of vaseline and then the silicone scar sheets on top.

I bought this super super expensive stem cell serum which the company says can be used on surgical wound. But my surgeon placed 3M surgical tape all over the incision and the wound has scabbed over now. I now have no clue how I can even use the serum. The company says I can still apply it over the scab and it will still help. Doesn’t make a bit of sense to me. It would be a waste of my money to do that.

Still the best thing to apply is
Good and old Vaseline!!! Which is only white petroleum!! Anything else may have things that make your healing process a nightmare !! I just had a laser surgery on my face and I was surprised how just applying Vaseline made my healing process smooth and no scars left !!

@@zzuuuccgh yup ! You won’t believe how much money I’ve wasted on all kinds of creams /moisturizers/ lotions , etc , etc which have done absolutely nothing to offer for improvement. The only thing I’ve never tried was Vaseline because I thought it would clog my pores and cause acne since I’ve suffered from acne and my skin is extremely pro-acne . All my assumption changed when I had a laser treatment. Right after the procedure my skin was red as hell. Then with a lot of hesitation I applied Vaseline and I was surprised to see how it helped a lot in the healing process . It helped the scabs go away without leaving scars or marks . ( many years ago I had a strong chemical peel , I didn’t apply Vaseline but some expensive cosmetic cream which didn’t help and I ended up with scars ) . Now I’ve been using Vaseline every night and my skin hasn’t looked this great ! The cosmetic industry makes billions of dollars by scamming people and of course they will never ever promote Vaseline . So screw them ! My only regret is that I haven’t used Vaseline earlier in my life. It would have saved my lots but lots of money !

I underwent DBS surgery or Deep Brain Stimulation for Parkinson’s disease. Part of the process is feeding wires under the skin behind the ear, down the neck and along the front chest area. This area is getting more painful and the Surgeon believes that there is scar tissue around the wires causing tightness in the area. He thinks that breaking down the scar tissue would be helpful. Since it’s not a visibly scar how would you recommend breaking down this deeper scar tissue ?

Not sure if I missed this, but one thing I'm trying to confirm is: Is it recommended to add vitamin E and sunscreen underneath the silocone scar sheet? There is nothing more hydrating then lard. Why- it’s most like our natural sebum. It’s gross but it’s a fact.

Cool, I wonder if my surgeon when I was a kid, did this technique (it has scarred thickly, sadly).
I wish we had this done but that's life, God's will be done.
What's the average number of days after surgery is best to apply vitamin E, silicone stuff?
    God bless, Rev. 21:4

Absolutely 💯 No sunscreen! What is she talking about. Horrible advice. Just use Aloe Vera gel.... and castor oil. Separately. Research the truth about the chemicals in sunscreen aleast please!

Ah ha. That’s Chinese 拔罐 , the modern way
Went for a surgery n there’s a deep hole after it splits up
I quickly went to tcm after the recovery seem so slow … was prescribed v gd but expensive medicine (i googled n it’s manufactured under a firm that seem to need China Govt approval. So I think it will most like;y be v close to the ancient recipe is in gd control and authentic herbs are used?)
So the wound healed up v fast and v soon I do not need to go for dressing anymore.
Then the area is ready for acupuncture. Wound is closed but skin is read n inside still healing
The doc said that acupuncture ard the area will improve blood circulation to the area to speed up healing process
It’s liked the prob with those diabetics patients
Poor blood circulation in the whole system plus high sugar will hinder healing process.
The cleaning of wound is making wound clean if possible but if blood circulation and body dampness etc not in control, then it will take v long to heal

Try consulting a plastic surgeon on the best way to remove it.
Ask if laser is applicable for your case.

Just had wrist surgery with a 6 inch scar. Couldn’t care less if scar is ugly or tough or whatever. I’m leaving it be. I’m a man, get over yourselves. Good grief

I wasn't told anything for scar care, it was 6 months after that they told me it was just going to be a very thick scaring because my skin is that way.
I wish I would have found your channel sooner, my stomach scar is so thick and large...it makes me feel uncomfortable and has been dry. I'll see if these tips might help 💙❤️‍🩹💙
