Wow! I have been having horrible pain in my lower back around the sciatica nerve. I just assumed I would just have to deal with the pain forever. Your video popped up and I decided to give it a try. After the 3rd stretch I heard a pop and the pain stopped. I'm literally had tears of joy when it didn't hurt later that day, or the next morning. It's been 3 days and no pain. Thank you Sir!

Remember to do the strengthening exercises to help prevent it getting out of whack. I started doing stomach muscle ecercises and it kept away my pain after resolution, since that was the root cause.

Thanks -- six ruptured disks and 2 compression fractures here, in cevical, thorassic, lumbar, and sacrum. Out of all that, sacroilliac is what pains me the utmost. Well, piriformis -- same area. It's also an area that I've found orthos and pain docs least willing to look at or treat. One neurosurgeon told me he did a piriformis surgery once and will never do one again. So anyhow, big thanks. You're helping people who have limited access or limited response from doctors. A little pain relief goes a long, long way. You're also really great at describing the exercises thoroughly. It can be easy to pickup harmful methods without thorough explanation, and you address that very well. Rock on! Heartfelt thanks.

@@DrRowe, I've been trying to get relief from severe pain in that joint, but all my efforts at trying your stretches, just ramps up the pain afterwards.
I can place both fists side by side between my knees, and when I press in with my knees, the right side (the good one) pops, easily.
The left side where the pain is at never pops, no matter my attempts to stretch, or efforts to pop it.
The pain really hits new heights when I go to bed.
I can only sleep with my left leg tucked into my body near my chest laying on my side with a body pillow tucked between my legs. That only helps a little.
Heat helps a little, but my skin is starting to rebel against that.
      Any thoughts?

@@davidgraham2673 What i've done is lay my head down on a table on top of my arms like im taking a nap and stay for 15 minutes. I think the posture loosens the lower back area. Then when the 15 minutes is up, I sit up, use both hands to kind of lift myself upward on the seat, and then move my knees together and press them together hard.

One 10 minute session with you and the pain has been decimated. Walking feels more fluid, and I can sit comfortably. I will be adding these stretches to my daily routine. Thank you.

This is a masterclass. I damaged my SI joints doing something stupid as a youngin. I found that if I don't exercise the supporting muscles then my SI will randomly go out and essentially cripple me for 4-5 days. I'm athletically built.
Athelene X has a strength building video that helped me with removing SI joint pain. I highly recommend you find it if your SI joints are just nagging you everyday. The first time I did the simple exercises I was momentarily in excruciating pain and surprised at how neglected the muscle group that supports the SI can get even if you are a busy active person running around all day.
This is a great compliment video. It shows you how to loosen and possibly temporarily relieve that SI from a chiropractic standpoint.

I'm 27 and had a bad skiing accident 6 years ago where I subluxated my right hip. My lower right back has been tight for years. Not sure what exactly it is (facet, SI, tight QL) but I nothing I had suggested to me could relieve it, I could never get the leverage (I'm 6'5"). I got terrible sciatic pain about a week ago and spent probably 20 hours looking for and trying different stretches to relieve it. Came across your method 2 away from the wall last night and finally found the stretch I've been looking for for the last how many years. I'm very grateful to you.

So THAT'S what I've been cracking all these decades. Around 13 years of age I was sitting in class and I crossed one foot over the other and press the top of my heel in against the bend of my ankle. It would cause my thighs to rise up and I could feel this odd separation feeling down in the sacroiliac area before it popped. It felt great and I would regularly do this as a kind of fidgeting and every time I did, it felt great.
I had no idea what a sacroiliac was or the anatomy of the pelvic area at the time, I just know that it felt great :D

I did that too! The first time I did it though, I was attempting to spread out sheets that had bunched up at the foot of the bed beneath a decently heavy comforter while laying on my back.
With practice, I'm now able to pop that area like that while standing. I flex the muscles in my thighs in a slightly outwards direction, all while keeping my feet planted & as still as possible. The stretch usually gives me a nice pop, especially if I do it while standing up from a seated position.

I am absolutely amazed at the pain relief I get from your videos. I've had SI issues, as well as other spinal issues, for over 35 years. I was seeing a chiropractor regularly from age 7 to 18 due to scoliosis. When I left my parents insurance I was suffering horribly. 32 years later... When the same pains happen now I use the stretching you recommend and I feel better almost immediately. But it's not just the scoliosis that causes pain now, but also a lumbar fracture from 30+ years ago and a cervical issue from whiplash 23 years ago that cause problems. I've had a cervical fusion surgery and still have intense pain on occasion. Your videos have helped with them all and have helped me avoid a second vertebral fusion. God bless you, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for the pain relief.

Like many other comments from viewers - for decades I experienced lower back pain that I always assumed was due to a herniated disk - never ever considered an SI Joint could be the source. Thank you so much for sharing this video and these methods of self treatment. In the past after about three visits to a chiropractor the pain would gradually disappear, but I would typically suffer for several weeks with each episode, and they would come occur 2/3 times a year, normally brought on by a lift or, more often, a twist. I came close more than once to seriously considering disk surgery. But what I have learned here has helped tremendously, I am now 100% convinced all my lower back pain history was due to an SI Joint issue. So so thankful I found this video

I don't sub to this channel but over the years it's done so much for me - whenever I have joint pain I always end up finding a video of his for it. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!!

Ok was sure it wasn't my Sacroilliac joint, but thought it was a jammed muscle or whatever. Hips were really stiff and got a muscle pain surge every once in a while. Had this for almost a week, getting worse gradually, at the end even sitting hurt. Did this once on one side and already felt some light release(no pop or anything). Just did 3 left and right, pain free now, will do 3 each side tonight. Wow what a relieve, it would have taken me another 2 months of pain before I would seek professional help, that's just how I am. I started hanging from a crossbar which usually relieves me from small pains in the back, but I will keep this in my daily/weekly stretches. I only did method 1, gonna try the other ones the other times. Thanks a lot!!

This helped tremendously and my therapist was pissed that I could relieve my own pain. I didn't need them anymore and they want you to depend on them. It's all about money and drawing out the therapy for months and even years. I didn't have time to be in pain and I had to work. As a single mother and bills to pay, time is money. I think this is the one I've been waiting for. I got a pop after the first side. I've looked into this joint now and it's the one that seems to fit with my symptoms. I will keep doing it. I had a bad fall a couple of years ago and was treated with Tibetan medicine in India for a while but Covid put an end to that. I got the steroid injections for bursitis two years ago which helped but didn't treat whatever else was wrong. I've been trying to rectify it myself since with massaging the fascia myself and stretching. I've felt like I've needed to stretch in the way you've shown but didn't know how.

Chiming in here to echo everyone else - y'all this is the real deal. I tried the hip self correction exercises first without much luck before I found these. On my very first attempt of the first exercise here my joint popped. I did the rest of these in order and felt IMMEDIATE relief. My lower back tension and inflammation felt much more relaxed, and I'm not sure how else to describe it, but where the legs meet the hips felt like a freshly oiled hinge. As an avid power lifter, my SI's have been the HARDEST joint to strengthen the deep tissue in. I have struggled with this since touching my first weight at the age of 30 (now 40). Deadlifts have never been my strong suite, and I accredit my SI issues to many years of biking and rollerblading in my youth. But since practicing your advices, I have seen my deadlift numbers go up by 20% safely! I have even been attempting some Sumo lifts as well, and those my friend, put the most pressure on the SI joint, that I have EVER felt! I was always told, that pelvic thrusts were the best way to strengthen the SI joints, but I am reinventing the wheel thanks to you! Surprisingly, my squats have never been an issue..... but if you look at the bio-mechanics, squats don't utilize those deeper SI joint tissues, very much at all.

The pain changed my attitude and quality of life. The pain just showed up, no injury or anything like that. While doing your routines, particularly the one lying down and twisting I heard very loud pops on both sides that sounded like a board breaking. The pain in both hips immediately was different and over the last few days is almost non existent. The pain in my legs disappeared immediately. It makes one wonder about modern medicine and the heavy dependencies on drugs. Again thank you for providing this information. Sincerely..

My PT worked very hard to “pop” my frozen SI joint using strong direct pressure. The procedure was extremely painful and made my pain worse. After undergoing 6 PT sessions with worsening pain my physician approved an MRI, which I had requested when I first experienced back pain. The MRI showed that I had a herniated disk with severe nerve impingement, not a frozen SI joint. My point is, get an MRI before submitting to a procedure that may cause additional injury.

OMG, I just tried your first stretch, heard a pop, and my lower back is so much more flexible! Thank you! It's been stiff for weeks.

You’re the first person I’ve ever seen do the first 2 series of exercises. Amazing results even though they were awkward to perform. Love all your videos, no nonsense and novel ideas👏🏻👏🏻

Wow. I've had SI joint issues for many years and have seen about a gazillion videos and read just as many articles. Very seldom do I get anything out of any of it. This video initially seemed like it was going to be borderline useless and silly like most of the others but oh my gosh, it actually worked shockingly well. I'm very glad I stuck with it.

I've been having issues with my sacroiliac joint for years due to an ice skating fall and this really helped! I'm definitely going to implement these stretches often

Oddly, I've experimented with variations of a couple of these stretches for years with my sciatica pain and have found a measure of relief. Thank you for the free, informative video!

After a lifetime of skiing falls, high heels, office chairs, pregnancies, children, school books, purses, heavy objects I can no longer ignore the pain. The very first exercise has brought tears of relief to my eyes. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🤸‍♀🤸‍♀🤸‍♀

Ive been to physical therapy fot my back pain after injuring my lower back, and ehile thst focused on the muscles connecting ftom the hip, they helped alleviate that pain too, but not quite like these! I was able to try the third method on my bed tonight, and my hip pain is soother already!!! Normally my regular stretches just dont cut it in terms of such quick relief. Definitely adding this to my routinr thank you SO much! ❤

I get so excited when I see good advice for SI relief. I can't stand or sit for too long and since a car wreck in my 20s my si and my hips have been all jacked up . I wish I could have someone just pull me from my wrist and ankles at the same time so I get that nice pop in my hips and SI it feels Soo good . I'm gonna try these so thank u so much I liked and subbed because I really appreciate you taking the time to help us all it means so much. Anytime I see relief for this area I wanna try it . Godd bless you and please keep the SI vids coming. Your the best .
