Deffinately, I had no idea this program existed ehtier until someone working in the game industry told me about it lol. I've been using it for a while and it deffinately isn't great for some stuff but I go back and forth between Photoshop and armorpaint and it seems to work pretty well
@@seriousprotectn at the very least it seems a HELL of a lot easier to place decals. Using GIMP to place decals it insanely difficult for me to get them lined up just right.

This is great thanks. I generally use a 3d editor but it can't match a pattern with panels easily so this is great for the wrapping. Just one question, how do I set the wrap so the join isn't in the middle of the car as when I do it, I always have a line down the middle.

@SeriousProtectn ah great thanks, was wracking my brain to find out how you were doing it. Best way I found was just changing the rotation so the line was less visible.
There is (adding a material layer and setting the projecton mode to project) but ive found its pretty buggy and usually not worth the effort. I just go through and mask out panels that I want to fix and reapply the decals since its easier than trying to mess around with the project mode, but give it a shot if you want that functionality.
Hey! So I have a question. Every time I want to paste a decal, it creates a black stroke arond it, Is there any way to have the decal without the dark stroke?
Hey, not sure why I didn't get a notification about this, shows 0 comments right above your comment lol. Let me know if your still having issues, I haven't come across that before but I suspect you may need to ehtier ensure your livery layer is set to 4k resolution or that the opacity is not setup correctly for the material.
@@LecanaldeMz So I was able to recreate this on the 0.8 release, but it looks like the most recent dev branch/0.9 release it's not doing it. If you paid for AP id go ahead and download the 0.9 release and see if that fixes it, if not try pulling the most up to date source from git (not a release) and recompile. Thats my best guess at least.
@@seriousprotectn Tried both, still the same. Problem seems when I'm import the texture. Is already with the black stroke, althought the PNG doesn't have any. The res doesn't matter.
Hey, i followed your Google Doc (nicely written btw), trying to get the 3d files, but discord won't let me in to get them (invite invalid) Any ideas/help? Can you make them available on Google Drive?
I think you may be on an old version of AP. Try grabbing the latest build. If your experiencing crashing on the latest build DM me on discord and I can send you an older build that is stable but has the UV island feature

@@dirkracegaming1353 you can get the 3d cars with the link I posted above, unzip the file and import the .obj file for the car you want to edit into armorpaint and it will work. I do not work for armor paint, just another sim racer

For some reason i get stuck at the point where i need to put it on release and press start. I always get a error and ArmorPoint won't start...
