Hi there. For ranking the order of Lewis acidity, should the order be B(CF3)3 > B(CH2CH3)3 > B(OME)3? CF3 group should be strongly deactivating and OMe is a stronger activating group than Ch2ch3 group. Thank you
I love how you explain your topics can i follow you up
I’ve been watching your videos since Calculus and Gen Chem. I’m finally in Organic Chemistry
same!!!!
Good then you understand.... Do alkanes only have single-bonds throughout the structure? Because he said "they only have single C-H bonds" and mentioned NOTHING about C=C bonds.... This channel always leaves me with more questions than answers
@@shainemaine1268 Hey Shaine, alkanes don't have any C=C bonds. You'll notice that they're either bonded to another carbon atom or to a hydrogen atom.
@@FarisAlzergani ive come to understand alot more in the past 3 hours... Thank you btw
Shaine Maine alkanes have all single bonds, alkenes have 1 c-c double bond, alkynes have 1 c-c triple bond. he’s right that the C-H bonds are single but since there’s that C-C double bond, i believe it’s actually an alkene. he probably just made a mistake calling it alkane instead of alkene
how can his voice be so calming
It's like listening to meditation 😂
agree bruhh..
this guy saved me through HS now through college I'm a sophomore.
Your videos a literal life savers. Through online class and also conducting my first semester of college online, understanding concepts is really difficult. These videos are very very helpful. Legit the best quality educational videos out there. Thank you so much for your dedication and hard work you're helping millions of students out there. Keep up the spirit!
real shit sis.

we give so many money to private tutors and coaching centres but he is the one who is really helping ........so why not support him.....we surely dont want him to stop making these videos ....do we?.....no we dont...... so let us support him becoming a patreon or whatsoever and inspire others.......
I’m in pharmacy school and this helped me understand the functional groups SO much better! Thank you!
Hey the video is so helpfully,am same course tho...can we have sharing some materials always..
Well same here
Hey
Im in pharmacy school, too!
Have you graduated yet 👀
Just wanted to tell you thank you so much for your videos. My chem class has basically no lecture component (secondary to distance learning), and your explanations have made an unbelievable difference in conceptualizing these processes for me. Thank you!!
When this video teaches me what my teacher should have cause it’s his job
for real though
all my teacher does is send vids of the topic and calls it a day they arent even teachers anymore the just send vids and make you answer shit like your main job is to TEACH thats why your called a TEACHER jesus fucking christ i want to shoot my self from all the stress
@@jio2019 calm it, get help
@@SWard-oe8oj yeah ive calmed down now but srsly tho "remember what i taught you" even tho they didnt teach anything still makes me pissed
@@jio2019 its understandable, take care
Is it weird that i like studying organic chemistry because i can learn it with you + listen to your nice voice? 😭
Not at all. I like his voice, too. 😂😂
SAME his voice is so satisfying 😭
Nah, we all simp
OMFG...IMAGINE HIM RECREATIN ALL THOSE WATTPAD PHRASES...HELLLL NAH
Thank you so much for uploading this, in a 20 minute video you have taught me more than I have in 12 college lectures.
this guy deserves more subs and views
This guy deserves a nobel prize
5 years and this video still helps so much. THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORTS💗
Thank you for taking the time to do this. Your voice tone and calm explaination really help understand.
Good luck, Spring 2024 Orgo students!
You are superb...thanks thanks.. with your tutorial I feel relieved from fear of calculations and organic chemistry
Thank you so much, if I would not be broke as shit, would have already donated, will do in the future tho, Thank you!
This helps me a lot to understand our lesson, thank you for making this video!
You have helped me so much. I learn everything in one try. If I ever get the chance to watch one of your videos I will watch.
I studied org chem in the 90s but didn't stay in the field. These vids are a great refresher, led by dirk diggler from boogie nights, can't go wrong. Bring back rollergirl
You're the best. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank You so much!!! Just in time before i take my ochem final
couldnt have graduated without you
The best tutor if there’s one organic chemistry fan left on earth but the world is that it’s me if there’s zero haters for the Organic Chemistry then they’re dead and I’m alive. Pookie
Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for an exceptional Introduction to Functional Groups in Organic Chemistry. Functional Groups really covers many topics/issues in Organic Chemistry. This is an error free video/lecture on UA-cam TV with the Organic Chemistry Tutor.
Every time I see your videos I am a happier person because I finally understand 😉
U d man!!!
Yo soy de México, y apesar de no hablar inglés se entiende muy bien la explicación.
If I take chem or organic chem, I will 100% subscribe. I am taking a Toxicology class so not trying to cry too much right now.
THANK YOU SO MUCH SIR! I LEARNED A LOT!
I wish I found your videos sooner!
I took 1 year of organic chem in 8th grade ...... been obsessed with the chem ever since
you're out here saving pharmacy students 😭💗
Thanks thanks thanks thanks to this god gifted teacher !!!
11:22 who remembers Walter White stealing methylamine from the train? ^^
Looking back, he couldve just synthesized all the methylamine he wanted....
I remember the tarantula
This guy is too too Good...!
I wish I could talk your brain to write this final exam I will score a solid A In chem and phy.
I'm doing pharmacy and you have helped me get this groups so easily😊😊
Ok
I love how he goes all in on the owners and chefs but always stays respectful towards the waiters
What?
Gordon Ramsey is the Organic Chemist⁉️⁉️⁉️

He's great, right? :)
Thank you so much for your videos,!
Master explanation and thank you
I am in class 9 and when I heard the word Hydrocarbons, I was very eager to know about this topic. U explained it in a very simple way. Thank u very much🙏🙏
im so excited to use your videos for actual ochem
Amazing video thank you
Powerful lessons
I was waiting for the test at the end as always. surprised that it wasn't here ;-;
but anyways, tysm for the video, it's much needed ❤️
Hello
Thank you for your existence!
Thank youthis vids
helps a lot
Thank you so much, Sir. This helps a lot, especially the mode of learning has switched into blended learning due to pandemic. I can't catch up well to my prof discussing on Zoom. And tbh u're better than her. Thanks!
thank u sir abi banega mera chemistry n.1
Thank you teacher ❤👏
May God bless you for making studying a breeze
Ur videos are so usefull but ur voice is so calm that it can also put me to sleep😅
There's a functional group in organic chemistry picture and that helped me. I pulled it off from my chapter 1 teacher slides and when i studied that in combination with this one everything made sense.
Pamela Feliciano can you share the picture plz, will send you my email if it’s okay.
You are such amazing instructor
Thanks for the shout out, my name is Amine.
Amazing sir
you are the best! thank you!
Thank you so much! I was so mad, because wasted half of the day at uni and our "teacher" wasn't able to explain any of the material in this video, though she had 2 hours!
I HOPE I PASS MY EXAM TOMORROW, THANK YOU FOR THIS!
So, did u pass?
Lol funny enough I have an organic chemistry exam tomorrow lol it kinda a nightmare our lectures ain't joking at all lol.
Thank you very much
Lovely 😍
Is there an easy way to memorize all the names and characteristics of each functional group?
flashcards

Sir I am from Pakistan but get your lecture everything is clear
You saved my life tonight
I'm glad you found my videos helpful.
N-O-I-C-E!
But IUPAC said we should arrange them in ascending order alphabetically
So it's ethanoate methyl
Don't you guys feel his voice is addictive...
Lol with his voice I could tell that his very young.
What exactly comes with the patreon? Never used it before because I'm a broke college student whose money all goes to books and rent, but I'm legitimately interested in what you're other videos entail
Thank you 🙏🏻
Hello..
Thank you 🤩
Thank. You sir

Is there an organic 2 playlist?
Hello, so if i named the alkene with 4carbon atoms and the double bond is between the 2 and 3 carbon as. But-2-ene . Is it right? Thanks
Thanks
this guy is a god
You're the best
seeing the comments im really surprised the west learns organic chem in college! im indian
in junior year and ive been doing this since sophomore! but ur vids are amazinggg
Because (south) Asians are farther ahead than the west💀
ur a life savior
me trying not to laugh at butanal
Same 🤣
confused because earlier in video you state R-NH2 is the functional group for amine 11:10, but later you state that r-n-r is an amine 17:32? are both true?
Its a mistake i believe..the first timestamp you have given belongs to a amide group not amine..so the naming should have end with (alkyl-amide)...but ill wait for others to clarify
I would like to ask,
If we were asked to identify functional groups in a given compound, is it ok for functional groups to share a common carbon?
Functional groups have their own carbon atom but when you naming the molecular structure always include the functional group carbon as well in the longest chain...it only applies to certain functional group only that has carbon atom in their functional group while the other functional group like ketones does not need it since it does not have carbon atom in its function group amd just double bond bonding with alky groups
@@miles3380 I forgot the context of why I asked this, but, thanks man. I think your first statement answered it.
thank u my king u remind me of tazpongo
awesome keep it up
What really confused me about this one was around 5:50. At first you started counting from the left, but with the alcohol you started counting from the right. Is there a specific reasoning for which side to start on?
u want the numbering to be the smallest possible
Isnt it the longest? and close to a functional group?
@@aitoriraola3224 for the functional groups numbering u want it to be the smallest. the alcohol in this case has the highest priority so therefore you want to number it as small as possible
i love you sm
