Awesome Cricket honey, I love this and yes indeed some of those molds are crazy expensive. Please do the wet mold. I was just looking at a pumpkin mold that was going to cost me $40. Big hugs doll😘 Kenny
I’ve watched several videos making this method but I think yours is one of the best you really give good information I saw a video where they were just doing it and not giving you any information thank you for doing this video it really helps
That is so ingenious!!! You are really saving money there. How many times you can use the molds? I was looking your candles in your facebook and I was wondering how you got so many wonderful shapes. You are really so creative. I need to get some of those candles but not sure how to buy them from your facebook.
Thanks, Natalia. I've got some molds that I made a year ago and they still work. The ones I make with water are more flexible. Right now I'm working on my website, which is giving me fits. I do have a paypal and usually on facebook people just message me and tell me what they want and how they are going to pay for it. Hopefully I'm hoping to get my website up by the end of the week. I'm going to do a video on the wet version of making the molds cause I need to make more. Thank you for your very kind words.
Hey Cricket. Well that was super fun project. While I was trying to figure out what heck were you doing...I just wanted to do it :)) Now I am trying to think something I could do so I could make one of those things. Thumbs Up and I would like to see you actually using it ! Thanks. :)
@@Vacilando22 honestly I can’t remember if I do, however, I’ve used them a lot and they work great. I’m sure I have videos showing my candles and showing what the fruit loops looks like. I will try to find a video
It's been a while since I've used these, but i do let the wax cool off a lot before I pour. You want your wax loose, and almost to the point where it starts to harden, but not quite to that point. I really hope that makes sense
I've never had to wash mine, so i really don't know. For this dry version, I would probably just wipe them out. For the wet version of these silicone molds, them might be okay. I have a video on that too. I'm sorry I couldn't answer your question
I have a question. I’m trying to make cinnamon bun molds. I let the cinnamon buns get super hard but will they fall apart? Or what’s something else I could use to make a mold or can it even be used?
When I did the cookies, I froze them. You could try to freeze them, or, if you use wax, you could make something like a cinnamon roll and use the wax for the mold.
what is an embed? It would be nice for you to explain what it is that you are making. Don't have any clue what an embed is or how it's used for candle making.
This video is basically for anyone who wants to make molds for themselves. A lot of soap and candle makers use them. An embed is something like a shape that you use for decoration. This was a requested video. I make fruit loop candles, so I use wax fruit loop embeds to decorate it.

Thanks, Kenny! I will do the wet mold really soon as I need to make more embeds. Yes, they are so expensive!
I have that exact same silicone from sealing my shower door in the new shower! That is so neat!! You are so creative.
Thanks, Laurice! Can you believe that I still need to make more.
How neat! I'd love to see more of how you make your candles! Thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you so much. I will do a video on it.
+Cooking with Cricket (cricket516) I'm looking forward to it!

That is awesome. I wondered how you molded some of the parts to your candle. What is the baby oil for?
Thanks, Katelyn. The baby oil just helps to keep it from getting so hard. I've made it without it before.
Cooking with Cricket (cricket516) oh ok. Thanks!
That is really neat!
You are super smart :)
Thank you so much! I filmed the other version today. Hopefully I can upload it real soon.

Thanks, Booger!
OMG....Thank you so much!!!! This definitely helps me out. I will be trying this to save some bucks!
Thank you. Another tip if you’re using foods, freeze them first. That really helps.
Beautiful!
Thanks, Ellen
What temperature do you pour candle wax at in these silicone molds. Just starting with candles, thanks for sharing!!!
It's been a while since I've used these, but i do let the wax cool off a lot before I pour. You want your wax loose, and almost to the point where it starts to harden, but not quite to that point. I really hope that makes sense

Wow, thanks so much for sharing!!
Bloody good! Thanks for the video xx
want to know..since it's not food safe..is it skin safe?
I use mine for candles but I know a lot of soap makers who makes these and uses them for their soaps, but I don't know for sure. Sorry
Can you wash it when you are done making your embeds?
I've never had to wash mine, so i really don't know. For this dry version, I would probably just wipe them out. For the wet version of these silicone molds, them might be okay. I have a video on that too. I'm sorry I couldn't answer your question
I need exact measurements on quantity ......
I have a question. I’m trying to make cinnamon bun molds. I let the cinnamon buns get super hard but will they fall apart? Or what’s something else I could use to make a mold or can it even be used?

Thank you so much
You're amazing, thank you
Would love to see the wet method. New to your channel.
Jean Murdock for wet method, use water, blue dish soap, and 100% clear silicone. Search UA-cam for Silicone molds. Have a blessed day 🙏🏼☀️
Ty soooo much!!
I'm just not getting why wax embeds need the cornstarch molds verses the dawn molds?
They don't. Has nothing really to do with the wax. It's what you are molding versus using the wet or dry molds. Wax can be used in either
how long do you let them cure an set
I let them cure at least 24 hours before using them. 48 hours is best.
can you make a vedio on how to make a embed mold for a bowl
What type of bowl? Small, large?
Cooking with Cricket (cricket516) a small blow
Cooking with Cricket (cricket516) a small blow
Is there a reason why mine was still sticky after letting it set for hours?
You probably didn't kneed it long enough and not enough corn starch
AWESOME!!!!
Wow no one has left any comments in 6 years can someone make a video on using cookie cutters that I can use as a resin mold thanks
👌🏼 Thank you
I love your voice :)
Thank you

I think I just sent you a reply to your message. I haven't made these for anyone but myself. What were you looking for?
awesome idea tfs
Thank you!
