  • In this video, I use Alumilite Amazing Mold Maker, a two-part silicone mold making kit, to make molds for casting! Part tutorial, part product review (and part impromptu shopping trip to Michaels craft store...), I hope that you find this mold-making tutorial educational and entertaining!

    This was great to see, thank you. I would love to see a tutorial on casting resin in the molds as well.

    Excellent, I discover your channel and I subscribe right away. I really like your simple and yet educational way of explaining your way of doing things. Thank you for sharing.
    Too bad, here in France there are very few stores for creative work. The few that there are are mostly focused on fine arts and are rather expensive. Fortunately there is still Amazon.
    Anyway I would appreciate to discover new tutorials, I work as a self-taught, I make little witches accompanied by their cats, crows and bats. I make some furniture, armchairs and sofas, my husband takes care of the houses and furniture that require more care, cabinets, wood stoves ...
    I like this hobby very much. And I admire the artists that we discover on the net. In France few people practice this art. At least where I live.

      Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the sub! Your miniature work sounds awesome!! It can be a bit lonely to be a miniaturist in a town/city/country where they're aren't too many, but there is a great online community on Facebook and Instagram that I really love! 🙂

    This was interesting and helpful. I would love to see a resin casting tutorial. Did you purchase the mold maker at michaels also? Trying to gauge how much you could get from a kit... could you make one more set of molds as you made in this tutorial out of the remaining kit?

    • @NasusMiniatures
      @NasusMiniatures  2 роки тому

      Yes, I did get it at Michaels also! I definitely couldn't make another set with these bottles! Maybe a mold for something very small? I also seem to have more part A than part B somehow...

    I just found your channel and immediately subscribed. I love your videos and I’m binge watching them. Please make more videos and I’m sure you could get lots of subscribers. Could you please share how long you bake the faux dirt and at what temp ? I have twin granddaughters and I’m sure they would be delighted with “dirt” in their dollhouse. Lol. I’m so hoping you make more videos. Thank you so much !,,

      That's a great video idea! Added to the list 😊 I will certainly make more, I've just been struggling to find the right day-job/miniatures job balance 😬

    They recklessly sell this 😂😂 people think just cause it’s at a craft store you don’t need any safety equipment. You need gloves a respirator and goggles. The bottles say not to exhale the fumes

      Very good point!! I actually have a horrible sense of smell, so it's easy for me to miss the power of fumes! (My poor brain cells 😂)

      Let me see if I can remember it all. Affordable bigger plastic containers can be found at Dollarama. If you wait for the resin to harden in them, you can peel it off and re-use the container. I feel like there was something else, though...

    I very much enjoyed the video portion, but I found the music incredibly irritating. Since music is such a personal taste, it would be better to leave it out than irritate your viewers. Your explanation of your process was wonderful, but I found myself wanting the video to be over ASAP so I didn't have to listen to the music anymore. Sorry, I'm not trying to be rude -- just a suggestion.
