Sorry we're a bit late on this one, but we finally got around to it. We decided to do the Nintendo Switch version and decided to play the entire game as Fox McCloud. We figured it was the most unique way to play it.
The game is set in the Atlas star system. Early on in the game, the player's mothership, Equinox, is ambushed by the Forgotten Legion and crashes on a nearby planet; the captain of the Equinox is taken hostage. The Legion's leader, Grax, is obsessed with an extinct race called the Wardens, who left much of their ancient technology behind. Grax, who wants to use such technology for his own legion, acts as a constant threat that the player must face throughout their journey.
As always we used relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cutscenes to try and stitch together a fluid cinematic experience. We hope you enjoy!

The voice acting in this is scary good. Wolf especially. Why cant we get a real star fox like this? And have these guys handle cut scenes for other nintendo franchses too.
Star Fox isn’t as popular in Japan So Nintendo doesn’t seem to care as much for that franchise

For a kid's game, this is deep. Deeper than probably most Star Fox games. Complicated plot too
The more I watch this, the more I want the game.
I can only imagine the millennium falcon in this having Han Solo as an ally would definitely increase their chances what if a rebel X-Wing squadron came out of hyperspace to started in gauging the Drake fighters

Totally, even though the star fox stuff is Nintendo Switch exclusive, it's the closest thing to a new game that proves it quality

@@Climhazzard_ It has its moments, but what I feel holds it back the most is it's another reboot for the franchise. People want a continuation of the 64 timeline (ignoring Command), not another reset.

This isn't Fox's universe; you can only get the Star Fox content in the Switch version of Starlink.
In defense of that idea, let's keep in mind that Lylat's a star system. Not a galaxy or a universe. This game probably might indicate that Lylat's somewhere in the Milky Way. Which part, supposedly? That's what's unknown.

Well Star Fox is only available for the Switch version of the game, so that's probably why it feels like it.
You guys realize the Star Fox stuff was added AFTER the game was complete and isn't even available in other versions of the game right? Obviously they weren't going to take center stage, honestly I'm surprised how well they were included at all, it's near seamless…
Honestly, I REALLY liked this game. Only problem was it got dull after I finished the main story

Damn, if only this game did better in terms of sales... This was such a good game and it really deserves a sequel, especially if we could have Star Fox again. I played through the entire campaign with Fox and the rest of the Star Fox team, and loved mixing and matching the parts with the other ships. The story was rather complex and immersive and the cutscenes were VERY well done! It's just sad that the 'Toys to Life' genre is all but dead at this point...
Hyperspace traps were annoying so I'm glad I could skip with this vid lol my kinda fast travel. I did get stuck on a peppy voice acting loop which was hilarious too. It does go on sale a lot with digital deluxe though I didn't feel the dlc was that different (tons of mods and changing elements didn't really differentiate gameplay much too let alone press and hold X shield was annoying if I'm using analogs and triggers to fire). It's also 16 gigs so it has to go when sd card gets full.
@@MrVariant Yeah, wish the Equinox had an upgrade to at least reduce the number of Hyperspace traps we encountered, if not get rid of them, entirely.
Say what you will about this game, but not only did this technically give us a Starfox game on the switch, but because of this game, we finally have a toy model of the arwing itself. Something that hasn’t really been done before. So I would say that this game is worth picking up for the switch because of the ship alone.
Fascinating as starlinks is, I would at least have the pilots out of their star fighters like in starfox adventures and starfox assault.

Ya know this kind of thing always happens: A good guy group or team always losing the senior mentor or captain. Also I imagine Star Fox would make excellent allies to the rebel alliance and their starfighter squadron if they ever came across STAR WARS! With their advanced Arwing fighters & piloting skills, lasers, twin lasers, hyper lasers, smart bombs, barrel roll shields & charge up locking on shots that can take out multiple ships in one shot they would be exactly the kind of squadron that Mon Mothma & Princess Leia of the alliance could use & they would definitely surprise those IMPERIAL DICKHEAD ASSHOLES!!! lol
Plus the ships are very small from what I get the arwing only measures around 5.5 m

I don’t think it’s the case, but it wouldn’t surprise me if this was originally supposed to be a Star Fox game, but they were afraid people were going to complain about it having hit points and other non traditional Star Fox elements. And this would lead to lower sales and no demand for follow up games. So they just added Star Fox as an optional feature, and now people are complaining that this should have been a Star Fox game to begin with. Blasted gamers, they’ve ruined gaming!
