I agree I love all the movement in then and the fact that they keep their pace on tracking your and that they can't be damaged by any weapon except for the omega weapon which probably no one but samus can use and that they can kill anything that moves with its fast attacks makes them terrifying and makes me want to be one
@JoelPerry1 they only lost the fear factor because you could realistically fight or escape from them very easily. The more power you gained through upgrades the more confident you got. It was just like the SA-X. It was terrifying when you first see it. But by the end when you can freeze it to escape its not that big of a threat.
I know that Raven Beak managed to sever the first emmis arm and eventually reprogrammed them all, but i can't shake the idea that the first time he saw them he was genuinely scared. Theres always this trope that super advanced alien species will always dismiss humans as silly monkeys with pointy sticks, which i imagine raven beak was guilty of doing, up until he was face to face with an incredibly strong, almost invincible human made robot with crazy dexterity and a knife for a face. 'last time i checked, they had only just invented the steam engine! What the fuck have they been up to???'
I love how they still all function in the same way, so you can still use your experience from the White Emmi for the Blue Emmi. The first is just "how do I avoid this thing" as you don't know their behaviour, but for the final ones, you do know the behaviour, they are just very much good at finding you
Not actually a bad idea if you're sending it to investigate X Parasite activity. Odds are that you might need a Power Bomb to kill the damn things without Samus's penchant for blowing up planets. Either that, or Raven Beak added that upgrade to the EMMI when he reprogrammed it.

Fully mechanical, so the X can't infect them? Check. High mobility to ensure that they can find the X wherever they hide? Check. Insane durability to protect them from hostile lifeforms/X-mimics? Check. Weapons to incapacitate and destroy X en masse? Check. DNA-extracting needles to sample X genes for research...and possibly that secret bioweapons project at least part of the Federation is interested in? Check.
It is implied by A.D.A.M (in reality Raven Beak) that Samus suffers from what he calls "Physical Amnesia" after her encounter with him, which would explain why they have her abilities. This also applies for all the upgrades that wasn't retrieved from E.M.M.I.s. Raven Beak simply wanted to test Samus enough to activate her Metroid powers.

Gods, I cannot say enough how much I love these creepy buggers! As someone who's big into robot designs, their seemingly overly complex movements dont waste an inch of movement and its wonderfully terrifying. Those menaces move with a purpose, and their machinations really sell the fact they were built with a purpose in mind. And they're damn good at it, oi!

This is a pretty minimal thing, but can I just say that I love the Emmi reactivation cutscene The way that the possed Quiet Robe is just constantly repeating his last words is really unsettling and adds to the genuine creepiness of the X's, and then the way that the music goes from this creepy song, to a slow song that quickly ramps up in tempo and the creepy factor as the Blue Emmi reactivates and starts running down the hall. Very minor in the grand scheme of the game, but this cutscene is awesome
I love the mechanical yet fluid movements of the EMMIs. There’s that humanoid design to make it seem personable, but there’s still that nice little bit of uncanny valley in the mechanical efficiency of their movements.

I had the same problem with no space. The secret is to ride the spider crawl carrier on the ceiling and the E.M.M.I. will crawl across the ceiling after you, which is a very long stretch for you to shoot it.
Blue Emmi was easy to me I just used the bit you can glide across on the ceiling for both parts, purple was awful to fight in general though his area feels so condena de so he can always hear you and almost always see you

Power bomb emmi idea: when you get inside the zone the emmi starts chasing you but not like the other ones rather it's a chase/escape sequence from a to b like the diggernaut chace sequence from Samus returns, however the whole area is filled with lasers and rings that disturb you while also the emmi is firing power bombs that you need to outrun their area of effect, when you reach point B you get cornered and the cutscene where samus activates her metroid powers plays

Imma rate the EMMI based on how difficult I thought they were (hardest to easiest) The Orange/Red EMMI does not count Blue: some might think different but that EMMI is a nightmare, you have to go in water without your gravity suit and the areas you need to maneuver are difficult (plus what’s worse than an EMMI? An EMMI you can’t run away from) Yellow: That speed makes it annoying to knock the cover off but that’s it, that’s all that bothers me Purple: despite being the last EMMI you face, you have so many movement tools in your arsenal that it’s hard to get to caught Green: This one is your first actual challenge and I will say it does provide you with one White and black: These two are your introduction EMMI, of course they’re going to be easy

Am i the only one that keeps getting a Déjà Vu when a metroid game comes out ? Metroid could go on a open world with a similar mechanic like Super Mario Oddysey where at some places where u go in 2D (dungeons, bases for examples). U can gatter ressources to upgrade the power suit and ur weapons, but ur gonna need to upgrade ur power suit to upgrade further ur weapons and gadget and to upgrade ur power suit, ur gonna reach a certain xp level (xp levels won't upgrade ur hp, but will restore to full hp if i level up) To unlock a new gadget or weapons, nothing changes, just defeat bosses. U could go to different planets to gather specific ressources that u need. What do u think ?
I don't think there's really much an open-world would add to a Metroid game. I'd much prefer if they made a new metroid game with the atmosphere and story-telling of super metroid.

Frankly, I'm just tired of playing open-world games (or at least people who keep asking for more open world games) since they're mostly boring as they have you move around a empty space looking for things to do.
Yellow Emmi was the hardest IMO, mf always seems yo know where you are at all times. Hiwever since I used an emulator back in the day, i can say that the hardest to beat was the blue one, since the aiming sucks monkey balls on pc, you have to actually map the mouse to aim and create a controller profile just for that fight alone, and switch the controller after you break its shell; ridiculously hard battle just for that simple hardware issue.
Really I just love how they move, with all those movements that only a machines flexibility could accomplish.

Am i the only one that keeps getting a Déjà Vu when a metroid game comes out ?
Metroid could go on a open world with a similar mechanic like Super Mario Oddysey where at some places where u go in 2D (dungeons, bases for examples). U can gatter ressources to upgrade the power suit and ur weapons, but ur gonna need to upgrade ur power suit to upgrade further ur weapons and gadget and to upgrade ur power suit, ur gonna reach a certain xp level (xp levels won't upgrade ur hp, but will restore to full hp if i level up) To unlock a new gadget or weapons, nothing changes, just defeat bosses. U could go to different planets to gather specific ressources that u need. What do u think ?

I don't think there's really much an open-world would add to a Metroid game. I'd much prefer if they made a new metroid game with the atmosphere and story-telling of super metroid.
@lloydau3610 Didn't we already got something similar to that? Metroid Prime trilogy, I believe. Not to mention Other M as well.
Frankly, I'm just tired of playing open-world games (or at least people who keep asking for more open world games) since they're mostly boring as they have you move around a empty space looking for things to do.

Yellow Emmi was the hardest IMO, mf always seems yo know where you are at all times. Hiwever since I used an emulator back in the day, i can say that the hardest to beat was the blue one, since the aiming sucks monkey balls on pc, you have to actually map the mouse to aim and create a controller profile just for that fight alone, and switch the controller after you break its shell; ridiculously hard battle just for that simple hardware issue.
