I'm 21, a college student, and can't see myself actually working a normal job. I have never wanted to do college, I have just felt I had no choice. I am wanting to start SMMA and am trying to learn more about it. I'm gonna start looking for businesses I can offer a free trial to like you said to do in this video, because the lack of confidence in my ability to provide results is my main concern if someone is paying me.
This helped me have a better understanding, i have just emailed my first client who will hopefully get back to me. Hopefully i can start earning money by next year. Thank you.
Just decided to give smma profession a go, thank god i came across this video because i was absolutely lost with niches. i'm thinking of running my free trial with my old boss who runs a small local cafe
Wow, I'm from Brazil and this cadrasto strategy you showed in the video is genius, as simple as it is. Very valuable content, and I really liked the strategy of getting the first client! Congratulations!
Great Video! I think it would be interesting if you could talk about the content and creating content for the companies. Basically, you just show what your step-by-step guide to developing a content strategy is. In addition, it would be very valuable if you could give us some examples of what types of companies (e.g. automotive, restaurants or just services) you usually work with and what their problem is.
First of all, great idea.. But how can I gain knowledge and experience with an ARBITRAGE AGENCY because a contractor will do the work of creating ads and develope my clients business??? It would mean a lot for me when youre answering :)
We teach both concepts in our program The SMMA Blueprint. The problem with going straight into arbitrage is that you are not educated yourself and it becomes very difficult to interview / hire / lead when you fundamentally don't understand what good performance looks like from your team members. We recommend learning a bit of this yourself so that you can avoid costly mistakes when it comes to hiring mistakes that cost you what you pay the contractor who failed, the client that you churn as a result, and margin.
My main question is "how do I do SMM." Across the board, a lot of the information I get is intentionally vague or not too helpful. In most cases, it's locked behind a paid course(assuming the know-how is actually there). I think the free trial idea is at least a little helpful for actually grabbing clients to build a resume. I really need a side gig outside of my 8-5. I tend to waste a lot of free time at home doing unproductive things, so it's worth doing.
my main question that i can’t find an answer to anywhere is, when i’m offering a service online how does that connect to a local business. like how does something i do online give them leads and traffic. like how do i target people in a certain area or give them in person leads when i’m online. idk if that makes sense
You can run paid ads for your clients. That way you can define the exact audience you place your ads in front of and ensure the traffic is qualifed that you're sending to either their website, or a funnel you create to capture the prospects information.
I just watched your video and have a question regarding outreach. As I am still starting my minimum is to at least do 100 or more outreach a day if possible, the problem is it takes me how many days just to get to 100 and at this rate its gonna be nearly impossible to hit that minimum daily. How do I make my prospecting quicker and easier where I'm able to have a 100+ each day ready for outreach?
check out our getting clients playlist on the home page of our channel, many tactics on this. we also teach this in great detail at TheSMMABlueprint.com
I have a question, when starting do you need an account say like Facebook with followers and information on what you do? Or can you just reach out with them with no followers needed? Also if creating a website, what kind of information do you need with your website?

Hey great video. I have a qeustion tho, i know its a lot but to the point. 1. Should i do brand awarness or leads or both 2. How to know which a niche needs 3. Which would you recommend for car modification/ tuning
Hey thanks for supporting the channel here. So I can try to answer this. 1) Ideally if you have the budget I would do both, but If you're budget restricted and need to choose one, do lead gen. This will drive more measureable results for the client when you're trying to build trust in the early stages. 2) If they are willing and wanting to close customers over the phone, or simply enagage with leads you send them, then lead gen is a great option. Even if we higher appointment setters to assist with converting the leads into booked meetings/appointments, the client still needs to be willing to get involved to help close them as a customer. 3) For that niche I would first start with Google Ads, capturing people who are activily searching for vehicle mod shops.
@@2GuysBuildaBiz so i should i do brand awarness if a) they have a high budget b) if theyre particularly need that. And for car modification i can just do lead gen is that right?
Hey! Question. When doing ads for a company do you use their instagram or what? Do you need their sign in for it or how does it work if your making an add for their social media account
To niche down is the overall goal, but don’t let that hold you back. In the beginning be opportunistic. Name your agency something general that will work with multiple niches, work with many different segments. See what you like and is most profitable for you and niche down from there. Too many people wait on the sideline for the perfect niche. Go out, get money, experience, and you’ll be in a much better position to fully niche down from there
Hey man I really appreciate your video, but the thing is how do we reach out to clients? I have great communication skill and also got a nice portfolio from my network. But how do I exactly get clients outside? Email them? They never reply. Message in social media? They never reply either. Reach out to their physical business? I live in a poor country maximum of them doesn't even understand marketing or even if they do, they're never willing to pay to some online things cause online world is just a scam to them so they dont even focus on their social media. I want to start a SMMA soon but I’m not really sure how to narrow down the business owners that I contact via cold calling, is there any website that will narrow down the search engine when I’m looking for business owners in a specific niche?
Hey great question, so from a service offering perspective you should offer lead generation services for the free trial offer. If you’re offer branding, it’s going to take too long to see the return on investment by the time the free trial is over
@@2GuysBuildaBiz Hey i’am new in this but i will hear you about what you mean about leas generation? And the course you have can it also being used in Denmark, because i live her😁 i hope the questions make sens
Hey there, yes, we have a ton of students from all over Europe. The concepts are the exact same : ) As far as lead generation, this is a simple service model that enables you to run a simple ad to a lead capture form. We explain this in other videos on this channel as well as in great detail in the course at TheSMMABlueprint.com : )
Could I get my first client even if I lived in a third-world country and with no experience? I think the level of trust differs and usually gets harder with how far you are from the country you're getting clients from.
We've had many students of the smma blueprint do exactly this. I'd be lying if I said it was easy or just as difficult as targeting clients in your own country. You'll need to make them a strong offer in order to close these kind of deals and your ability to communicate well + your flexibility to work within their time zone will make a big difference.
Great video! One question tho, how do i do a free trial for a business if i dont know how to run ads / the contract i have to hire to run them will cost me money? I currently don't have any money to fund such contractor. What do i do?
If I told the client that my smma specializes in Facebook Google ads, how should I allocate the budget between Google and Facebook to give the client good results?
Yes, absolutely the beautiful thing about this business model is that it's not tied to being geographically present to where your clients are. There are obvious challenges around language that you should consider. If you cant communicate well with your clients, that will be a challenge no matter where you are from. We usually recommend start sourcing clients in your home country first and expand from there.
I have a question about the ads, so we go to the business and record and ad for them or do they ship out the products to you for recording the ads, or do they provide the ad for you so you can post it online?
Hi David, I have a social media ad agency for roofers and I am currently outreaching via facebook messages and emails. Have had a little interest but not managed to secure my first client. i like the sound of the free giveaway campaign but how could I incorporate it for the roofing industry? or is there a better way for me to go about it?
Hello! Fellow marketer here. I would suggest instead of a free give away you could do a discount or a free addition of a certain service that usually costs extra. Maybe in the campaign the first 10 people who sign up get a discount and the rest can get 10-20% off a future service in the next 6 months.
You can use images of their store, the inside or stock imagery to garner attention. The important part is the audience and the targeting. The creative is obviously very important too but make sure you get in front of the right people and give them a reason to click
@@2GuysBuildaBiz That was my initial thought as well. I am very familiar w that industry though as I was one for over 10 years. I would love to ultimately serve course creators, but felt it would be easier to get started with.
@beingsamsmith How about using it as a foot in the door type of deal. Since you have experience you can use it as a case study as the video suggests then branch off to other industries using it as a basis for your results.
Highlevel is too expensive for me and i cant even afford 97 dollars every month. A beginner with no clients, still learning, so unwise as well to be buying highlevel anyway. Can someone please tell me alternate cheaper platforms?
Great question, most people who join The SMMA Blueprint think the same thing, but a huge value that we stand behind is you should be conducting the fufillemnt for the first few accounts yourself for a number of reasons. A) You'll maximize early profits, B) You will be able to make a freemium offer like this. C) When it comes time to outsource or insource, you'll know how to hire experts because you actually know what you're doing. D) Selling will become easier because you know what you're talking about on the fulfillment side. I could go on and on here, but save you're self a lot of time, heartache and embarrassment, by not outsourcing immediately before you have the fundamentals down. Keep watching our vids and other SMMA content to sharpen your skills or, check out thesmmablueprint.com to train up.
Hey, I have a question about this can I offer them more services like web design? Please tell and how do I charge them monthly like only for advertising?
Absolutely you can do this. We personally moved away from offering web design because it was a long process, and only a 1 time fee. We were able to scale much faster and more efficiently just offering lead gen and building landing pages for them through high-level.
Im 21 i am currently working in the hotel industry as a apprentice chef ive always wanted to break free from the job culture but its really hard working 12 hour shifts and then coming back to grind on my smma as i have limited time to gather info ,please help in trying to get a client ,maybe we could strike a deal for the transfer of information
Hey, I have just started a SMMA, I’ve already hired a contractor I’ve already setup everything, I’m in the outreach phase, and I’ve been doing it for about 2 weeks now, but I am having problems with instagram DM’s and I can’t find anything online that shows how to fix it. Can you help me?
Hey Kash, thanks for checking out the video. I'm assuming you're hitting spam restrictions on IG due to sending too many copy/paste messages too quickly. A great way to combat this is have a general framework of your DM message that you can copy/paste, but make sure to personalize each note slightly. Otherwise if just a few messages in a row are completely copy/paste word for work, Instagram will flag you pretty quick. Additionally you should diversify your outreach and not just rely on one source. Try sending messages on other platforms like linkedin of direct email as well. Lastly always follow up on your unanswered messages, thats where the gold is.
Hey I have a question! Since your doing ads for their social media do u have to ask them for their log in for social medias or how does it work getting ads up for them
@soundfather4602 so I run Facebook ads and use the business manager to do so, which means I have my own account they add me as a partner to their account and I have access to everything except credit card information

How much can i ask them for the ad spend??
Could I get my first client even if I lived in a third-world country and with no experience? I think the level of trust differs and usually gets harder with how far you are from the country you're getting clients from.
We've had many students of the smma blueprint do exactly this. I'd be lying if I said it was easy or just as difficult as targeting clients in your own country. You'll need to make them a strong offer in order to close these kind of deals and your ability to communicate well + your flexibility to work within their time zone will make a big difference.
@@2GuysBuildaBiz Thanks so much man!
Great video! One question tho, how do i do a free trial for a business if i dont know how to run ads / the contract i have to hire to run them will cost me money? I currently don't have any money to fund such contractor. What do i do?
He gave u a heart but didn’t reply 🤔

If I told the client that my smma specializes in Facebook Google ads, how should I allocate the budget between Google and Facebook to give the client good results?
Cool video Derek, But can we follow the same strategy if we want to reach out to a prospect outside of our home country through email or LinkedIn?
Yes, absolutely the beautiful thing about this business model is that it's not tied to being geographically present to where your clients are. There are obvious challenges around language that you should consider. If you cant communicate well with your clients, that will be a challenge no matter where you are from. We usually recommend start sourcing clients in your home country first and expand from there.
I have a question about the ads, so we go to the business and record and ad for them or do they ship out the products to you for recording the ads, or do they provide the ad for you so you can post it online?
Whichever method you decide on
Hi David, I have a social media ad agency for roofers and I am currently outreaching via facebook messages and emails.
Send me your email and how many leads do you get per month
I have a question how do I deliver the service, for example for a hair salon do I go there and film there ads to run on Facebook.
You can use images of their store, the inside or stock imagery to garner attention. The important part is the audience and the targeting. The creative is obviously very important too but make sure you get in front of the right people and give them a reason to click
Do you think niching to salons is a good niche?
can be a good place to get started and get some experience but budget can be very low over time
@@2GuysBuildaBiz That was my initial thought as well.
Can someone please tell me alternate cheaper platforms?
if we are outsourcing our work then how can we offer free trial witgout lising money
Keep watching our vids and other SMMA content to sharpen your skills or, check out thesmmablueprint.com to train up.
did the second client approach you directly?
hey ! are u doing smma ? can we connect ?
Hey, I have a question about this can I offer them more services like web design? Please tell and how do I charge them monthly like only for advertising?
Absolutely you can do this. We personally moved away from offering web design because it was a long process, and only a 1 time fee. We were able to scale much faster and more efficiently just offering lead gen and building landing pages for them through high-level.
Hey Derek! Do you feel like you need a website before getting your first client? Or is it fine to reach out to clients without?
Definitely needed, just as social media accounts
@@pigfanner2887 Thanks!
Agreed with the fella who already commented. With as easy as it is to create websites today, there is no reason not to have one
Im 21 i am currently working in the hotel industry as a apprentice chef ive always wanted to break free from the job culture but its really hard working 12 hour shifts and then coming back to grind on my smma as i have limited time to gather info ,please help in trying to get a client ,maybe we could strike a deal for the transfer of information

what is a retainer?
Hii
@kashbronko how you hired clint
Please reply
I am in the middle of smma startup and getting clients is the hardest part so far 😂
@@Rolledtreasures if u run facebook ads... there's a way that you can get access of their ad account without needing their credentials
3:08 I WAS ALSO IN THIS STAGE 4 MONTH AGO ZERO CLIENT TODAY I HAVE OVER 100K GRAND FROM SMMA
