    E commerce is pretty good niche
    I started smma 6 months ago and my first client was e commerce niche.
    I still have four e commerce cleints paying me 1000 dollars for running ads and they are happy with it.
    I think good and bad niche differ from person to person.
    For me e commerce was the best niche in smma

    This video is freaking valuable. I chose the real estate niche as it’s something I have passion for but started to realise how hard outreaching in the real estate niche is as a beginner. Only recently I’ve decided to think of choosing another niche to allow more progress and just put real estate on hold for now. So if anyone is finding there passion niche too hard it’s okay to go for one that you know you can learn and make money from.

      Love to hear it. Makes us super happy to hear our content inspired someone to take action. I agree, that can be a great niche. Another great benifit is you will most likely know more than most of the business owners when it comes to social media by watching content like this, being a user of social media yourself, or if you decide to further educate yourself in a program like The SMMA Blueprint. Many beginners want to rush to ecomm clients, but quickly find out those business owners are more tech savvy than they are. The contracting, roofing, construcion industry can be a great space. Google ads do very well there too.

    • @2GuysBuildaBiz
      @2GuysBuildaBiz  Рік тому

      It's a good niche to start for beginners, but I do feel like it's a low ticket niche, so in order to scale you'll find yourself eventually growing out of it. That being said we absolutely targeted and worked with restaurants in our first year of business. The numbers can work out, if someone goes once every week and spends 60 dollars or more, you're looking at a 3k or more per customer over a year. You'd be surprised how many restaurant owners don't understand the basic math of this and you'll need to break it down to justify the spend.

    Are there any limitations to the type of clients you can reach out to? Let's say I chose gyms as my niche but I would assume companies like Planet Fitness or Equinox have dedicated teams in their companies to generate new memberships and leads. That question can be applied to a lot of niches that quickly come to mind so is it better to focus on smaller, family owned businesses that lack the resources on their own for marketing? Hopefully this question makes sense

    • @2GuysBuildaBiz
      @2GuysBuildaBiz  Рік тому +7

      Hey great question. You're thinking in the right way. The individually owned businesses will be easier to break into. With that said, certainly still can approach franchise owned businesses as well. When we first started we closed an Ace Hardware that was individually owned. This client stayed with us for many years even as we developed an entirely different niche. You'll experience a few more hurdles with the franchises as far as restrictions on certain types of advertising to ensure everything is corporate approved and aligns with the brand name, but you can still work with them. If I was just starting out, I would focus my energy on individually owned operations to start.

      Hey great to hear your on your way. When it comes to which platform should you pitch, the answer is neither. Never lead with running facebook ads or google ads, or insert any service. Lead with the end goal in mind, the result, what they can expect from your services. Otherwise you'll get looked over and lost in the crowd. This is what we teach at The SMMA Blueprint. Don't worry almost every person we coach makes this same mistake, but you wont now so congrats and let us know if you need additional coaching. Hey Antoes - David recorded a video on this topic that sums it up well, ua-cam.com/video/IHyELexHB1E/v-deo.html
      There's a few ways you can go about it, but at the end of the day they need leads wether that's coming from facebook, google, IG - a huge service you can add additionally is actually contacting the leads that come in and scheduling the appointment for the real estate agent. They are busy all day interfacing with clients, showing homes, writing contracts...if you can bridge this gap for them, many agents would gladly pay you. This can be scrappy in the beginning where you actually contact them, but quickly you're going to need to hire a team to scale. Upwork.com can be a great resource to hire some freelancers that can work the leads that come through the funnel. Thanks for the question and supporting the channel. Means a lot to us!!

      @@sinqz6564 I'd recommend starting with two channels to capture people activley searching for local gyms in the area, and another platform for building brand with potential new customers who could do business with the gym in the future with enough brand building and trust. The first would be google ads, there are people all day every day searching for fittness centers and those are going to be the low haning fruit which you can drive to your clients website, or funnel. The second would be a video first campaing that you can run on IG & FB. You can simply run video ads for the gym to their ideal customers in the local area, so when they are ready to take their fitness serously, they know where to go. That's where I would start and you can accomplish this with a failry low budget to get rolling.

    What do you think about auto dealerships, do you think that in current economics conditions its a good nische to begin with. Specially with Facebook ads its a good idea to market them. And do you think it will easy to got in to contact with the decision maker.
    Also i heard about advertise to car salesman, what do you think about it?
    It’s a few questions but I hope you understand

    • @2GuysBuildaBiz
      @2GuysBuildaBiz  Рік тому

      Auto dealers can be a profitable space. The sercices they really need are leads at the end of the day, the product is high ticket, and they need to attract local buyers. Basically this niche hit's all three of the rules outlined in the video which is awesome. Getting to the decision maker won't be too difficult to reach, but one thing to be aware of auto dealers are full of sales reps and it can be difficult to sell to a sales person, if you don't have any sales experience. Cold calling into the dealer might be difficult for you if you're not good on the phone. Fortunatley, there are alternatives. You can contact them via, email, DM, and set the intial discussion that way. At the end of the day, you still will need to sell them on your services, so if you're new to the sales game I'd recommend picking up some sales books and making some calls to increase your skillset. Otherwise, David and I sold over 15M worth of products and services before we even started an SMMA, so we packed the smma blueprint with everything we know on sales if you're looking for direct support. Love the question, and I'm excited to see what you build! Let us know if you have anyother questions!

    Great video. Got a sub from me. Love to see more marketing pros on youtube! I'm a visual designer/art director with 15+ years exp working in digital marketing. I want to start my own agency this year but thought of focusing only on email/paid media for ecomm brands (no sure if that still qualifies as a "SMMA"?). Justification there is that ecomm clients would have enough volume of email work to hire an agency. Would you still say this is not a good direction to go in? I currently work FT for a performance marketing agency and my day to day is email and paid ads for a major sports association.

    Great videos, big fan. Could i ask some advice in terms of starting an agency. I am considering offering two services at the beginning, on to offer website creation and the 2nd is to do a marketing campaign (fb most likely). This is to provide a landing page for them if they dont already have such, then the second service to apply monthly. Is this too ambitious? Should i just start with one service at the beginning?

    • @2GuysBuildaBiz
      @2GuysBuildaBiz  Рік тому

      Hey Orlando, really great to hear your feedback here and we truly appreciate you being here! While it is good to simplify your offer, these two service offerings you're describing really go hand in hand. If you just have a website, how do you get traffic, and if you just have ads, where do you point them to? I think this is a perfect combination, but to not make it as ambitious as you described, I would phrase this as funnel building instead of website design. If you're building entire websites, you might run into friction due to costs, time to build, and the fact that they could already be happy with their site today and simply don't want to change it. Building funnels on the other hand, can sit along side their current website, and not change what they have going on there at all. Great question and I'm excited to see what you build. Keep us posted if you have more questions!

    Hey. I decided to start with the real estate niche, but I'm confused on how to price it. Advertising fees are more expensive than other niches, how much should I charge as a service fee?

    • @2GuysBuildaBiz
      @2GuysBuildaBiz  Рік тому +3

      Hey Emir, great question. It’s going to vary depending on the agent and how much they are brining in per month, but a model you can follow is a flat fee for your retainer and the real estate agent pays for the ad spend. This is better than a percentage of ad spend fee in my opinion, because you can charge more by offering more than simply the ad spend management. For example, to make the campaign successful, you can build a funnel, deploy automations to the leads as they opt-in, even charge extra for having your team follow up with the leads manually. Ultimately if you can layer services on, besides just managing the ad spend, you’ll help get the agents what they really want, which is booked appointments on their calendar with qualified buyers or sellers.

      Great question, so you can track this if you're connected to their CRM, but really if you want to ensure the appointments are being booked, we teach our students to set up a conversion system that helps convert these leads into opportunities. We do that a number of ways, but two main drivers are automated messages that go out to the prospects, prompting them to book and we also have a team dedicated to the follow up and booking of the appointments. We can charge more because of this and our clients get better results because the leads actually convert. Awesome question, and I really appreciate you commenting and supporting the channel!
