- If I have to learn Digital Marketing from scratch again, I will do if differently to ensure I learn things quicker, have a stronger profile and grow quicker. I would learn things systematically keeping in mind the long term success and avoid shortcuts and avoid the noise in this space about learning

This works. 7 months ago I took my first Google Ads course. Learned the basics of search ads, built a website for my aunt's business, ran ads and got a few conversions. After this I quickly submitted my resume to a local agency and the same day I got a call back. Worked 1 month as an intern and now I have an official position as a Jr. Media Buyer. I'm only 20, no college degree. IT'S POSSIBLE. Just gotta trust the process.

I agree with everything you said. I have had a long 18 year career in digital marketing. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. But I think the fundamentals that you spoke about are really important. I will add one more thing to the top of the list: tracking. If you know the fundamentals of tracking, this will separate you from 90% of the people you are competing against. People hate tracking things or knowing how to track things because it gets complicated and messy. And they are frankly too lazy. Learn the details of tracking. Anyway I don’t reply to too many UA-cam videos. But I thought you had some really great points.

Let me tell you this, I was hearing, listening, and learning about social media marketing for 4 days and I landed on this gem. And let me tell you, this man tells you no lies, but truth. no shortcut is the biggest lesson here. Moreover here is my interpretation:
1) Learn the fundamentals
2) Do not Get Distracted (Avoid the Noise)
3) Implements
4) Peer Review: Take Steps Back
5) Understanding the Combinations

Its very well presented to convince an ordinary person that this is also a method to learn about marketing, since today the net is full of content and no one is able to give you clear guidance, everyone starts off at some point and end at imaginary points which are not wholesome and we end up thinking we have wasted our time searching. This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my UA-cam channel 8 months ago about self development. Now I have 871 subs and > 500 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

Congrats. Im 21, stuidied something similar to an Mba. I was offered a full time administrative job a few days ago but decided i want to get in the digital merketing world since i like it more and think i pays better if one does it well. I landed here because I was curious about copywriting and marketing was mentioned. The first videos I saw were those “make this much money in one week” and stuff like that. They make it hard to trust any advice you can get on YT regarding these things. Your video seems very honest and filled with real advice and because of that now I’m very curious about digital marketing and the process of learning it. I come with a degree in visual communication design and wanted to learn other things that would complement with that since I still feel I’m missing other skills. I’ll consider taking that first step and take a week or two to learn more about Digital Marketing. Great video!

I recently started running FB re-targeting for myself, and this is after watching tutorials about TikTok, Google Ads, etc.
Only once I actually started running ads on 1 platform it started to click, "Oh, even the campaign, ad set, ad structure is the same between these platforms"

Unfortunately high skilled Digital Marketing Managers are really hard to find out on UA-cam because most of them try to catch people's attention in order to get more views = more incomes form UA-cam ads.. that said, I am really happy to have discovered this video and your YT channel. The learning process starts from the structure of something, everything else, related to the content, it's easy to understand and to learn because it only requires study day by day. UPDATE 1 - I commented one year ago. It's been a good and tough time for me. I enrolled myself in a Google ads course and spent 6 months learning and practising. And eventually got hired by an AI-powered SaaS company in the UK. Our clients are some of the biggest multinational companies including BBC, Airbus and Horward University.
I remotely worked for them for 6 months as a Marketing Assistant until 18th Sept 2023 and then they ended the contract. I feel that this will be a blessing for me inshaAllah.. I needed a little break though as I used to work long hours.
Now I am thinking about learning SEO, starting a niche blog (maybe more blogs later) and a small local e-commerce website. I enrolled in an SEO course yesterday. Google ads experience and learning SEO will help me in succeeding in these 2 projects. I am trying to transition from a freelancer to a business owner.
Need lots of prayers for a happy and peaceful life.

Thank you very much for the information you shared on this video. To your point, there is a lot of noise when looking for how to start in Digital Marketing. I'm running traditional marketing campaigns through mail, newspaper, tv and radio (I know dinosaurs) but these channels still work for the demographic I target. That demographic is getting more familiarized with digital so we have shifted the investment to more digital. I am taking some courses at Harvard University, which are great, but I see that they are missing a lot of what you have explained in your video. This is just the beginning for me and I know things change quickly, specially in digital.What is relevant today may not be tomorrow (without any notice from Google lol).
