    plz do more of these!!
one tip i have is to be genuine with patients. sometimes ppl just need to see some authenticity and know they aren't a singular being in this wild rollercoaster world.

Don't ask multiple choice questions when asking about client's past. Open questions only. People can be very suggestible!

You can accept open response answers to a multiple choice question. It seems like the point here is more so giving a kind of reference point to work off of for the patient and trying to prevent them from feeling overwhelmed by their thought processes and reasoning.

Yea that's a good idea, I'll have to give it some thought! I will say that I think there are probably some good videos about this already, but it still might be nice to add my thoughts and experience.

What do you do if a patient is reluctant to open up all the time?

That's a great question, and it's definitely not simple, but generally maybe reflect my observation of that, work with them to figure out why and help them feel safe to open up, and maybe reassess goals and motivations for therapy
