My c300 4 matic makes that noise only when I reverse to the left. Is this what it is ? Should I ask them to replace the drivers side upper arm and ball joints. It’s easy going into a shop telling them what to do. It’s that same noise.
Ask the garage to check the ball joint the way I did. At the same time they can move the upper arm to check the 2 bushings. When I bought this car it was making a clunking noise when reversing.when I checked the bushings one was loose due to a loose screw. I tightened the screw and the noise disappeared. I think yours is also a loose screw.
