Good to hear an honest opinion on gear
Thank you! When you are passionate about what you do, you wouldnt deceive people just for coins or views.
The A7R2 is still and always will be a BEAST! I have owned the camera for 3 years now and STILL don't have the itch to buy a new modern camera...I have done it all with this body...street Photography, Portraits, Birds, Racing and Astrophotography ....love this camera and will continue to rock it into the long future
Same here tbh
My first fullframe camera, bought it half yr ago, love it! Nice video, keep going! 🙌
Great review, I love this camera, I just got a prime lens.
I'm using the Sony A7RII. I have been using it for 6 years now and love it. It does take excellent photography photos.
Love the video I just sub'd. I own the Sony A7RII and A7RIII both still have amazing quality and can compete with just about everything out there.
I definitely agree with you, It's a stella lens still today.
Has a street photographer sometimes I struggle with the auto focus but the image quality is superb and those 42Mp are insane!
We are many using it, and I'm very happy with mine.
nice video. someone just asked me this question if its worth it on my livestream last night. keep creating
Thank you my brother, I appreciated it
I just bought it from rebuy as an upgrade to my old A7R in almost 2024
Very exited to the higher resolution. I do a lot of landscape / adventure photography and sell prints on my Etsy shop
Hi! How did you get started on etsy?
Thanks for the video and advice! Upgrading from the a6000 to the a7rii and wondering if I made a good choice. After watching this video I feel more confident I made a decent upgrade. Will definitely pick up a battery grip along with extra batteries. Thanks again
yes, trust me you will see a massive change over the a6000
and the batteries are cheap so get a few of them
You nailed the cons of the camera for me. AF isn't that fastest, battery life is booty, and low light can be rough. However, when you learn how to adjust to those scenarios, the A7RII can take you so far. I got it at a steal a few years back at $600 and don't see myself upgrading any time soon. Glad I found your channel!
Just got mine for $900 came with 50mm 1.8 sony lens and canon metabone adapter... with 700 shutter count. Loving it so far!
Trust me you wont regret it, and you also got a pretty good deal on that honestly.
Where did you get those orange body panels???
I bought one last week but have doubts about the eye AF. It seems a bit of, compared to single focus on the eye. How do you portrait makers experience this
What kind of video card do you need to shoot video on this?
When in a camera shop they offered me a good price for a used A7RII, I asked what would I sacrifice not buying a current model of A7R, video not being my goal. The answer was - if video is not intersting, you will loose about 15% of functions, and save 300% of money. So I went for the used one, and do not regret it. With professional Canon L lens mounted through an adaptor it makes amazing pictures.
Picked up an open box A7RII in 2021 for $1100. I still love it today paired with Sigma Art glass.
Man i know the feeling man. every shot is worth it.
I got this camera and I have yet to experience the fullest potential because of my lenses. Because of the "Sony" name, these lenses are extremely expensive for what they are and it's hard to justify the price so I get other brands. But it takes excellent photos and I LOVE using the picture profiles on purpose for photography and it makes the photos fantastic depending on what I'm shooting. The battery life sucks on ALL the Sony cameras imho though lol.
said you would have sample, left no samples 😢
I was going to sell mine since I have an riii body. But with the used prices now, this camera punches way above the used market value. I can't bring myself to sell it
Man i'm telling you, it's still up there with the big boys.
keep it as a B cam
I regret selling mine. I'll never sell my Riii. Thinking about finding another Rii for my wife to replace her apsc.
I have the a7iii, but I’m about to purchase the a7rii as my secondary camera. There isn’t a single camera out there that is a better value right now. I mean over 40 megapixels for under $1,000 in a fairly modern body? That’s hard to beat. Newer cameras have better autofocus, but the a7rii is still good enough and the only real downside to the camera for photography is battery life, and batteries are cheap.
You are most definite right, I have over 8 batteries for this camera alone and I get by pretty good with it.
Everything you said is true. The auto focus is not the best because they updated things, but it's still a great camera with amazing quality. Battery life suck! I have about 12 batteries for it. Usually only use one battery for a shoot.
man, im telling you. I have about 9 batteries for this camera.
Right?
This battery go out so fast especially doing a wedding.
@@jyjys-photography3208 for weddings I would use a dummy battery
