This Prehistoric Camera still has a Bite - The Sony A7r in 2024

- I took a drive up to the Lake District for New Years Day and I wanted to try my Sony A7r for the first time. I really was blown away by the image quality and the dynamic range of this old mirrorless camera.

Goes to show you how ahead of its time these cameras were...I have the a7r2 and still tis this day its mind blowing...I will never get a new camera as long as this thing keeps clicking cause it just gets the job done in 2024

Clear exampla of no matter the equipment the most important are the skills, congrats for the clear example of using an "old" camare can came up with outstanding results!

We got engaged there, and 2 generations before me did as well. Keep trying to find the time to get up there, get some nice pictures to get printed and get on the wall. Loved your long expo shot I really did. May have to pinch that composition when the time comes.

It's quite difficult in very low light condition to get good result like shooting the Milky Way for example. ^^'

@@petergreen-gh2hm I’m a supervisor at my depot so the early morning can be stressful at times.

5dmk2 still has bite.
I retired my second and last 5dii last year after it started buggin with AF and getting errors writing to cards. I've owned it since it came out and it served me well. I'm very happy with my Sony R's and probably won't go back to Canon. I will keep a couple of L lenses that actually work better on Sony than they did on my 5dii and 5diii lol
