I love this channel because of the way you guys clearly enjoy warhammer and space marines. Reminds me of the banter and the ranting and the arguments I would get into with my friends at school 20+ years ago.
It's worth noting just how impressive it is that the regular ass dude managed to dodge a space marine attack before being sent back to the void at 8:45
they still use them when landing is to difficult like here in the eye of a storm, it is also much faster to get where they need to go since they can withstand the G-force

YES!!!! This does such a good job showing how powerful they really are. Just perfect, methodical killingmachines. The way they completely ragdoll “normal” humans 😩😍
@@Zeromortisimus Primaris are the new normal. But these are far from normal marines. They are all very high ranking and very experienced. They are bladeguard veterans and Titus is a lieutenant. Normal marines are often killed easily because they underestimate opponents even the best marines can get killed by circumstances outside their control as depicted in this. You can have all the best equipment and training and still be on a ship that explodes or get stepped on by a titan.
These are not normal Firstborn Marines nor are they even normal Primaris Marines. You're looking at 3 Primaris Bladeguard Veterans and fucking Demetrian Titus himself, former captian of the Veteran 2nd Company.
Or even the best of the Grey Knights. Who were the ones you called to take down the Daemon Primarchs (who make this sorcerer look like a chihuahua), before any of the loyalist Primarchs started waking up from their naps.
The guy who made Astartes was the 'cameraman' for this. Blur Studio did the animation, but he lined up all the shots. Never played Helldivers, but if they do the drop pod thing, they probably got it from 40k. No ordinary man would survive the landing of an astartes drop pod, probably half the reason the psyker was in a box, the other reason being so the forces of Chaos won't sense him. The purity seals burn in the presence of Chaos, which is responsible for Metaurus' flashback. It's also why gravity gets screwy in the hole; the warp doesn't care about physics. The psyker projects a shield to defend against psychic attacks, but is vulnerable to a mere blade; without the shield, the timestop effects the marines too. The first dies due to a form of imposter syndrome, hence THE LIE now on his armour. Metaurus fears Titus could turn to Chaos, and is thus betrayed; but Titus himself has no fear for the daemon sorceror to exploit. The staff breaks, the timestop ends, and it dies to the same blade Titus was dragging along as a child. Titus is the protagonist of the Space Marine games. This takes place after SM2.
Titus is the main protagonist from Space Marine 1 and 2 he goes on a suicide mission that is basically what we're watching right now. After Space Marine 2 Titus gets a certain type of helmet that has gold feathers on each side and he is wearing that helmet right now during what you are watching.
Laurels not feathers, it's a greek/roman thing to denote glory or honor to someone. They could be feathers for the blood angels though, that'd work possibly. lol
The big sword in the beginning was just a space marine combat knife being held by a kid. Average space Marine height is 8ft (so in the clip in the rain) Primarus space Marine height is 9-10ft. Warhammer 40k pretty much started the grim high scifi dystopian genre, so Helldivers and all the other IPs like that, are based on 40k. All the pieces of paper on the guys armor, the stuff holding it on is red wax, the paper themselves are "Purity Seals", blessed seals showing one's piety to the emperor, which also provide some protection against the taint of chaos, so when those little pieces start burning off, it is due to the dark powers being strong enough to incinerate them. (big bad mojo) So, this is also not really a fan project. It was made *with* the person who created the short film Astartes (A-Star-tease... I messed it up for a while when I first started too.), but it was in general made by a collaboration between Blur Studio and Amazon MGM Studios, the writing and such was done by the individual teams associated with the video game etc. The hand to hand combat scene between the Chaos Cultists and the Astartes kill team is so engaging because it takes advantage of a premise in the 40k universe, which is called "Transhuman Dread". We all know how a human body should move, so when we have these 9ft tall walking tanks, moving with total fluidity of motion, having sharper and faster reaction times, moving *much faster* than humans can move, having perfect awareness of the situation... Well, it just creeps us the hell out, so it us reacting to these creatures that have transcended humanity, in person you'd crap yourself, but in a video, it just pumps you up, because these human ish things are wandering through the video like super heroes.
This is why warhammer got to be one of the best communities, I can just have fun enjoy the experience without people attacking me for not knowing what’s going on. Thanks for putting me on game.
There was a warhammer killteam 2024 trailer if you want some quick action, and "The Tithes" is also pretty good if you can find the parts uploaded to UA-cam in order. (The version you guys watched before was part of a bigger series)
The guy who came out of that case that they were dragging is an Imperial Sanctioned Psyker. He was creating a shield to keep out those demons while the Ultramarines were fighting them. Until he got stabbed.
Many space marines chapters can have many different races. Ultramarines have an empire (within the Imperium) of 500 worlds. So absolutely you can have black Ultramarines alongside Titus. The Salamanders chapter is 100% all black - no exceptions. It depends on the space marines chapter. Raven Guard are all albino white. I'd say most space marines chapters are a mix of races because of the worlds they recruit from / their own home world. Some chapters like the Thousand sons are all brown / olive skin color. Some like the Salamanders are all black. Some like the Raven Guard or Blood Angels are all white. Just depends. But it really doesn't matter since the Melanchrome organ implanted in every space marine will change their skin color depending on the radiation. High radiation... and almost all space marines with 'turn' blacker. Low radiation, and almost all space marines will 'turn' whiter.
This chapter ruined Titus, Titus is special because he is the only one who has two fingers of forehead and knows how to be afraid and that is why he knows how to fight without throwing himself headlong into a useless battle, literally in the first game the novel and in the second it is shown that Titus IS AFRAID and that is what keeps him alive.
Great reaction energy fellas! 😂 Good stuff . But in all seriousness 😠 suffer not the unclean to live brothers.....I pray your hearts remain loyal to the Emperor after learning more lore...his will is eternal 🙏
If you are going to watch Love Death and Robots then I recommend starting with the episode Secret War, that episode is epic and with a similar animation to this warhammer episode.
idk if you played Space Marine 2 (or 1), but I watched another guy give an analysis of this Secret Level episode and said he thinks someone (I won't say who to avoid spoilers) selected Titus to go on this mission to kill him. At the beginning of this episode, the screen says: "projected mortality: absolute". This also takes place after Space Marine 2, which you can tell because Titus's helmet has the laurels on it.
just a fyi Titus is carrying the same knife he was DRAGGING as a child , small in his space marine hand huge as a kid . that is how big space marines are

The golden studs in their head each represent a hundred years of service.
I heard it varies between chapters. If I remember correctly for the Ultra Marines a gold stud is 50 years.
