Please note that 3M 90 WILL NOT work for this application in a van. It WILL start to degrade and come unstuck after a few months. You should use an automotive headliner glue or similar, which is rated to work in the extreme heat found in automotive applications.
@barrytimm5497 probably you only sprayed one side lol you got to spray the stuff on both surfaces making contact…. Everyone uses this spray with great success
My experience would disagree. I put up Thinsulate nine years ago with 3M 90 adhesive. I never did get around to putting walls up, its just been the thinsulate since then, including on the ceiling. This is in southeast WA state, so it has seen extremes in temperatures. A few winters all the way to single digits and every summer with too many days well over 100F. I have not had any Thinsulate sag or come unstuck from the sheet metal.

I used the 3m spray as well as some heavy gage hanging wire over top to keep the insulation in place during movement
