GREAT PROGRESS ON THE E30!!

- So we've come so far with the E30 and everything was running somewhat smoothly, recently we hit a brick wall when it come to getting the manifold to fit around the steering knuckle.. so today we are making our own manifold! Not only that, we are fitting a new timing belt and also running all the brake lines!
we are not far off!

Man fair play to you, your doing stuff you've never done before, I am a welder and if anyone says anything bad about your welds then there not a welder, you learnt the basics all that's left is practice you will get good the more you do it and listen to advise given

last year fitted a td05 in an 8v integrale , must get thr photos up, exhaust mods was the hard bit , i used an expansion bellows at the back box as well as the front flexi to overcome manifold stress . 100% ✌️

Mate,get a TIG attachment for your MIG it’s a piece of piss to use ideal for pipes it’s a good skill to have.Brilliant video love it when you loose yer rag Boi😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 keep em coming.

If you want to get the coil out that copper pipe for some straight lines, drill a 5mm hole in a 2x2 piece of wood and pull the copper pipe through it, thank me later

A pipe saddles another pipe for a seamless fit
NA that exhaust will probably be okay and ye you probably won’t lose much power but losing heat from the engine might be an issue down the line if the cars sat on the limiter and the gases are struggling to escape you may end up melting an exhaust valve or even worse a piston

Yep
Exhaust is not to bad but I think you'regoing to lose quite a lot of power. TBF you're not going to see them welds and aslong as the welds are strong it should be fine and Dandy. To get better flow, my thinking is to either fit oval exhaust pipe or round which you can squash at one end and then weld to the newly morphed down pipes. If not have you thought about reversing the manifold and sending them forwards and looping back rearwards under the car?

Lee do you know anywhere near manchester that can rebuild a mazda bpt engine with forged pistons etc? Iv got all the gear but no idea 😅
