At the 2018 Essence Festival, Dove shared a short compilation of stories highlighting how Black women are often excluded from the beauty conversation. We also announced our plan to create the Dove Black Beauty Alliance - a group of influential changemakers who will work with us to create a positive impact for Black women and girls.

So glad to see these positive videos addressing tough topics about beauty standards aren't stopping.
I found this channel through my psychology classes at University, where a variety of teachers have been discussing the notable impact of Dove's campaign on a viewer's self image. It's really amazing and I'd encourage others to look into the impact of adverts on self image and confidence.
I know even personally, I am inspired by seeing a variety of real beautiful people in their adds. Keep it up, Dove!

Me as well, especially since I, as a woman artist of color myself, have had to deal with attitudes towards me that reinforce and glorify internalized White supremacy and 18-centrism. 😢❤

I wish dove would focus on whats really beautiful. Thoughts, feelings, what on the inside, instead of focusing on physical appearance to sell their product.

Beauty is an opinion, and IMO none of these women are beautiful. I prefer white and asian beauty, so maybe you should have included some of those in this video if you truly want to have a better chance of showing what beauty looks like, since it varies based on peoples opinions.
I should add that I find MANY black women extremely beautiful too, but these werent it.
