I am old man and my life experience tells me that what women believe on the inside is what influences what they look like on the outside because their glow, energy and eyes, voice and motions communicate their beauty far more than their shapes, hair, color, or height. Beauty begins from the inside. Bless Dove for providing this for our culture. Men should be seeing this too. It would help them to appreciate women on a whole different level.
I feel like a rare breed of human being who is actually 100% happy with my appearance, and I really wish I could make others feel that way. Sometimes I feel bad because I have this abundance of confidence, and all my friends and my sisters have so many insecurities, and I wish I could make them feel the same.
Ladies and gentlemen, you are all perfect. You're amazing and attractive and unique. Don't ever- EVER- let anyone tell you otherwise.

This is my old high school and I couldn't be more proud! I so wish there had been a program like this when I was attending, I could have learned so much. Thank you for giving that opportunity to future generations of girls who need to know that they are beautiful.

As a mother of two girls, this documentary really hit home. We all need to hold ourselves to positive image regardless on what the industry a and others say is beautiful

I work with a small group of girls, and I love this whole series. "I'm tool tall" "I'm too short" "I have braces" Nope. I love them all - they way they laugh, the way they care, the way they light up when they smile, the way they think.
If any of the girls or their mom's ever read these comments... I thought you were all beautiful and I cried happy tears for you. Beautiful girls, beautiful moms- beauty is not defined by a magazine it is defined by US.

OKAY, where is the one for the guys? Why are boys always left out of the equation? Is it impossible for boys to feel insecure? Boys take selfies too and have body issues.
Dove has some great self image marketing.
While this is pretty cool I have two problems with it.
1. They chose all good looking females. You can guess why they didn't want any unattractive ones.
2. Males have insecurities and are made fun of too, yet what is even worse for them is that they are expected to take it and nobody cares. Where's the male workshop?
I love this. Every one of these girls are beautiful! I have insecurities, just like others. I wish everyone could just not label each other... stop saying "you're fat," or "you're ugly," I mean it hurts! It makes people feel super bad! A couple days ago on my instagram I realized how fun it was to make people's days. I complimented someone and they wrote back about how special they felt. Brighten somebody's day, don't ruin it. Trust me, it'll raise your self esteem a ton more than criticizing somebody. c:

oh my god.. I love this so much. All these girls are so wonderful and sweet, it made me want to cry when they talked about the things they didn't like about themselves, because all I could see were these sweet little angels.

Don't be insecure about yourself. Confidence makes you BEAUTIFUL!!! If you think you are beautiful, then YOU ARE, and NEVER let anyone tell you otherwise.

No matter who is next to you take a selfie I'm a makeup artist and believe me a lots of girls came to me saying I'm ugly thats way i don't take picture and do my makeup but once i do for them and let them look at the mirror oh my lord they complement they're self and i feel happy

I love the idea, but they're still redefining BEAUTY. Why can't we just get rid of the value in that concept? We put so much misplaced worth in how we look. As a 16 year old girl, I'm just sick of it. Why can't we focus on the worth in our talents, in our kindness, in our generosity, in our intelligence, in our love. It just seems so off.

I watched this and the first thing I said was, "these girls are beautiful. I'm not. I like to wear makeup, it makes me look less ugly. I'm insecure, my mom isn't, neither my dad. I see the girls in the video, beautiful smile. But on me, it doesn't work. How can someone love me if i don't love myself, I can't I'm too terrible." I love the video though. It was very amazing. Inspiring. Good job!

Aww this is such a sweet film. It's completely empowering as well. I really encourage young girls to watch this. I wish I had learned how important it is to embrace your flaws and everything you are at a younger age.

Why are we celebrating the equating of "beauty" as value? Every person seems to suggest that what makes them "beautiful" is something other than their appearance, yet that is the "vehicle" used to express it.

I agree that these things do affect men too but women are far more affected as a whole. The majority of ads regarding appearance etc. are directed towards women and so it is important to have an ad like this - in the same category, directed at the same group of people but with a much more positive and inspiring message than the ads and media that surrounds people today.

I wanted to share this with my mom who's hearing impaired, so she could share it with my sister. I think it's a lovely commercial for your product. I tried using the youtube cc generator and unfortunately it comes up with mostly gibberish. Not that it's your fault or responsibility, but you should know you can transcribe your own captions and them submit them to sync with your video. I feel you might reach a deeper demographic, including grandmothers, if you included proper captions. Okay? Good. Now I gotta go clean up these damn onions...

I love this! So encouraging and uplifting. I agree with feeling like you have to be like the magazines and movies, where every girl looks like Megan Fox! And guys have to deal with this too! They have to be buff and tan! But beauty isn't one specific mold, it's uniqueness that's makes us wonderful!

Amazing. Everyone is beautiful in his way. There's beauty in every single person. And what you see your self isn't always true people see you in a different way. Most of the time it's better ♥ what makes a the person girls in peteculr really beautiful is being confident about her self. ( in my opinion ) everyone shouldn't not even mustn't complain about the thing the have been born with that they can't change such as rounded face or what ever. If we can make things better we should such as being a little over waight ! You can change that and exercise more often . We are who we are. It's not fair to live our lives un confident about or selfs
