We took to the streets for our Dove film Inner Critic and asked women to tell us their least and most favourite body parts… which answers came easiest? We bet you can guess…

That. Is so sad!! I could name at least 5 gorgeous features of all the women interviewed!! Totally wish I had that girls fit lean body!! Let's trade?
I know right!? I'd have a huge long list for each of them.

Being comfortable with myself is something I strive for everyday. The video with the children who didn't like their curly hair just made me cry, because I feel the same. Watching these videos are inspiring for me to one day show my confidence. Keep up the good work.

All of them were beautiful; it killed me a little when a few said that they liked nothing about themselves. Sure, I'm the same way (and probably would have started to cry if asked ._.) but still.

isn't it ironic that dove owns axe, the company that implies that we are all smelly.
Dove dont own axe. Unilever is the parent Company to them both. Axe does not imply that we are smelly, it is actually a play on sexuality! In advertising Sex sells, look at where they launched the pilot for AXE!

i like my eyes and nothing else
I really don't like anything about me. My thighs, stomach, arms, legs, chest, butt, and especially my face and hair. I have scars on my wrists, acne all over my face, and my hair is incredibly short, about 3 inches. I feel pressured to try to look beautiful and it's hard to try to please everybody. These feelings aren't natural and if you're trying to get everybody's approval its just going to hurt you even more. I can't say much considering I have major self-esteem issues and it hurt me so much that I didn't want to live life anymore. But at least I know what road I need to take to getting to a place where I'll be okay with myself. Now the question is, how long will that road take. Did I mention i'm only 13?

I don't know you, but from what I can tell you're a very intelligent, thoughtful person who cares enough to share their love with the world. And you know what? That makes you beautiful. I'm 15 and I'm still struggling with those same issues too, but I know that somehow life will get better, even if it doesn't seem like it. I know it's cliche, but be yourself. 😊

It's hard for me to understand beauty. As a Christian, I believe that God is the perfect picture of beauty, and that He gives His creation beauty in all different ways - variety, symmetry, detail, and endlessly so on. But I'm a HUGE self-critic. I can't understand how people might look at me - REALLY me - and think, "Wow, she's beautiful. I'll always remember how beautiful she is." Yet God looks at me that way, and He created me. Ah... I wish I understood this more.
