THANK YOU ❤ for your wonderful videos..I passed my CNA in Los Angeles California on 3-23-23... I looked at your videos into the very last moment I left to go take the test..GOD BLESS YOU 💞
Great job! I am so happy for you, Alma. Stay safe in Cali. I lived there for 22 years. I know the residents are not used to the sudden bad weather. Congratulations again.
I’ll be recommending this fine lady’s videos to other students. I agree with others that her channel has several features of instruction and demonstration that give it an edge over other playlists, when the goal is to pass the credentia test as straightforwardly as possible.
I studied & practiced for 3 weeks. I didn't take a bath, barely ate, didn't comb my hair & didn't get but 3 hours of sleep a night just to fail. My mental & physical health has declined. I did passed this skill, but failed the ROM for knee & ankle in Georgia. I'm never going through this stress again. Thank you for your help 🙏🏾 I'm 4th generation caregiver, but I guess the buck stops here. 😭I'm going to switch fields bc the universe has spoken: I'm 50 and too old to do this work. Good luck to all the deserving caregivers.💚💚💚

@@SweetPPeaches Hello, It does NOT matter if the bath blanket is placed at the foot (knees to toes) or over the upper body (neck to pelvic area). The state wants all of the body covered EXCEPT the area where the student is working. That area will be from the pelvis to the knees for visibility. I hope this helps.
Hey Dr. Lee, just wanted to say thank you so much for your videos! I passed my skill exam yesterday 1/24/24 in NC, all thanks to you. Your videos made it super easy and exciting. Blessings ! 🎉
I agree some of the NExaminers are confusing I was performing catheter care and failed for not doing perineal care and that wasn’t one of my skills I thought those were 2different skills 🤔
Hello Lucy, a barrier is not required for Credentia skills. Prometric has a different set of skills. Please visit my Prometric channel for their guidelines. I don't want people to get confused.
Hello, Step 10 for this skill let the candidate know a towel or wash cloth is Okay to use. 10 Dries genital area moving from front to back with dry cloth towel/washcloth
Hello Maria, Yes, it will be an error if you don't use a covering on the patient with peri care. Remember, the patient has a RIGHT to Privacy. Look at step 6 of this skill. The state tells the candidate to expose ONLY THE AREA BETWEEN HIPS AND KNEES. Therefore, the top of the patient MUST be covered, and the lower legs. This is a requirement for this skill. Protect the patient's right to privacy.
@Credentia CNA Skills thank you for clarifying 💜 I've been watching your videos to help prep...they're very helpful. Thank you for posting your content and for replying💜🫶🏽
Hello, when taking the state exam with Credentia the state only requires one stroke each for washing, rinsing, and drying between the labia in the front. For the buttocks, there are three areas to wash. (2 buttock cheeks, and the crack) Therefore, you have to wash each area, rinse, and dry all three areas.
Hello, Credentia does not require the student to change gloves before cleaning the buttocks. The only time you need to change the water is if the water gets soapy or cold.
Hello, Credentia requires the candidate to raise the side rail on the side to where the patient will be turned to. see below: SKILL 17 - POSITIONS ON SIDE 1 Explains procedure, speaking clearly, slowly, and directly, maintaining face-to-face contact whenever possible 2 Privacy is provided with a curtain, screen, or door 3 Before turning, lowers head of bed 4 Raises side rail on side to which body will be turned

I agree some of the NExaminers are confusing I was performing catheter care and failed for not doing perineal care and that wasn’t one of my skills I thought those were 2different skills 🤔
Hello, Peri care and catheter care are two different skill.
Do we need to raise the side rail? I saw another teacher do that! I’m just asking I’m in North Carolina
Hello, The student is not required to raise the side rails for perineal care.
Please increase Volume in future videos, sound is too Low.
Advice is taken. Thank you.
Does prometric required to use a Barrie for the table before put the supplies on?
Hello Lucy, a barrier is not required for Credentia skills.
Prometric has a different set of skills. Please visit my Prometric channel for their guidelines. I don't want people to get confused.
Will you fail if the patient is laying on a chuck and you put a linen protector under it?
Hello, You must place one or the other under the client to keep the bed dry.
Hi Dr. Lee. When performing peri care, i thought you had to have the resident in a dorsal recumbent position. Is that not true?
Hello, Credentia does NOT require the patient to be in a certain position. What if the patient had arthritis pain in the knees or hips?
Does it matter if you dry with a dry washcloth or does it have to be a bath towel?
Hello, Step 10 for this skill let the candidate know a towel or wash cloth is Okay to use.
10 Dries genital area moving from front to back with dry cloth towel/washcloth
Is the process and technique allowed in South Carolina
Hello, These skills are for States testing through Credentia. South Carolina tests using Credentia as of 8-28-2024.
Hey I'm taking my test on Saturday 😅
Will I be graded if I don't place a bath blanket on the patient?🤔

You said for the front part that we can do one stroke but for the back we have to do 3 strokes? Or can we do one on the back side as well?

Will you fail the skill if you raise the bed rail and put it down after the patient is off their side?
Hello, help me understand why you would put the patient on their side for perineal care?
@@credentiacnaskills3577 in a our skill book for peri care. It’says after washing genital area, “turn to side then wash rectal area”
Hello Dr. Lee, Question- does it required to change gloves after you clean the front peri area and clean the buttock? also, the water?.
Hello, Credentia does not require the student to change gloves before cleaning the buttocks. The only time you need to change the water is if the water gets soapy or cold.
This was my question too but am glad it was answered 🙌🏾👍🏾👏🏾💯🙏🏾
Interesting.
Thanks
do u need to clean between legs or is that a old skill?
Hello, For the perineal skill you only clean to the groin area on both sides. (Not the legs)
hiiii, do you have the video of male perineal care too??
Hello, I don't have a video of male perineal care on this channel because it is not required/tested by Credentia.
Hello , I have a question when you turn them to the side , to get the butt area . Should we raise the side rail?
Hello, Credentia requires the candidate to raise the side rail on the side to where the patient will be turned to. see below:
SKILL 17 - POSITIONS ON SIDE
1 Explains procedure, speaking clearly, slowly, and directly, maintaining face-to-face contact whenever possible
2 Privacy is provided with a curtain, screen, or door
3 Before turning, lowers head of bed
4 Raises side rail on side to which body will be turned
My skills test is tomorrow
Did you pass? :)
My same question.
You didn’t dry the perineal area
I should have. Sorry about that.
She sure did 10:14
Hello sweet lady
Good morning!
What about her face I didn't see you wash it
This skill is peri care, not bathing.
