    I am about to take my CNA testing on the 30th of June. I am doing this as a Challenger which means I have had no formal training. But I have watched your instructions. I have watched others. You've been the best instructor ever. I send my prayers for God to watch over you and your life! So many people are going to get proper care because of your sharing your knowledge. 😊 The world needs mentors like you! Thank you!

      I passed today with high praise! I had to self correct a couple of times but I did it during my skill, before I ended my task. I shared your videos with others in the morning before testing. A couple of people thanked me, but this can only be because You are such a great teacher! My love to you ❤❤.❤🎉 Thank You so very much!

    I want to let you know Ms. jar that you help me SO much. I’ve been practicing in my head and verbalizing it outloud and simulating with my family members on every skill. I’m currently taking a CNA class and my teacher finally is making us do the skill tests and I’ve done 5 so far! What did she tell me? That I did it so smoothly, it’s by the book and she’s never seen anyone else do it the way I do it. Everyone else in my class is unfortunately struggling. I cannot help like stare at them to see if they’re right, but all I can do is just recommend you! Literally a life saver Ms. Jar. It means so much to me. I’m literally a perfectionist and need to everything 100% correct. Again, thank you so much

      I must respond to your question with a question!!! Where else should I squeeze out the excess water?!!! Not on the table or floor, right?!!!
      Unless the water in your basin becomes very sudsy, you may continue to use it.
      If it becomes too sudsy, you must empty and rinse the basin, then fill it again with clean water.

  • @benraeyisrael
    @benraeyisrael 3 місяці тому +1

    Shalom Nurse Jar, I was watching your Perineal Care video and was taken aback by seeing you put your arm up under the mannequin showing how to smooth out the linen protector, we would not be allowed to do such a thing in the various facilities, and group homes we work in nor a hospital. I don't think you need to be showing yourself doing that, you've been in the business long enough to have developed or discovered better ways that wouldn't get anyone in trouble if they mimicked your behavior. I don't think any of the women or men I have worked with in various facilities would have done that. Please be mindful that there are so many folks coming into the country nowadays and will think it's okay to do what they saw you do and it's not okay, we need to do it right and show how to do it right so it won't make the rest of us look bad. Not sure what state you are in but we can't put our arms up under residents in their beds like that, we'd have to go wash ourselves off with soap/water before moving to another resident to give care. Thanks otherwise for you sharing skills.

    • @NURSEJAR
      @NURSEJAR  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi, Sonia! It has not changed. This skill starts with one already under the resident. It is assumed to be soiled. You will first remive and appropriately dispise of it in the souled linen hamper, then place a clean, dry water-proof pad under the resident.
      At the end of the skill, if that pad is stll dry, leave it in place. If it is wet, you will need to remove it and replace it with a clean, dry pad. I apologize for the confusion 😕.
      I'm in the midst of uploading new 2025 skills training videos, but they will be exclusive to members of my channel.
      Good luck with your exam! Let me know how you do.

      @soniamapp3155 Hi! Every instructor teaches differently. However, you should always clean the labia major and the labia minora. As long as you clean both, for testing, it does not matter, nor specify, in which order you clean them
      Hope I answered your question! Good luck with your exam! Please let me know how you do.

    Thank you for all your videos Nurse Jar 😻 Appreciate the updated vids. Im testing Prometric in Wa st for the HCA/HHA on 7/20 and your videos have been *very* helpful
    I have a few questions if you have a minute
    1. When grabbing supplies if i grab too many, or not enough, will that be bad for my scoring? My fear is I'll forget something and have to go grab it during the skill
    2. Will Prometric frown on me wearing gloves even if the skill doesnt call for it?
    i have no classroom experience since my old job signed me up for online training, so am worried about navigating the exam area.
    Thank you again! 😊 ❤
