Nurse jar your videos are so educational. I passed the state test both written and skills. Thanks to your videos, and the amazing instructors that I had. I'm officially a CNA😃
I just want to say thank you your videos helped me a lot , I passed my CNA skills and writing test today I took the test as a challenger I got Cather care as one of my skills.🎉🎉
Nurse jar I’m so thankful for your videos! 😭I finally passed!!! I’m embarrassed to say how many times I failed. But I locked in & watched your videos & finally passed I owe it all to you!!😭♥️🙏🏽many blessings to you!!! (I’m in the state of North Carolina)
Good Evening Nurse Jar! I really enjoyed your video 2023 Its really giving me extra (C.N.A) training Skills ..Your Amazing to the community !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Prometric Camielle Renner
I am from Indiana, and trying to learn these skills! We are not Prometric's but you seem to be as close to what I need as possible. Thanks for what you do!
Love your channel, but have one question. You remove your gloves after the skill to prevent contamination to yourself. Before you rinse the basin, you contaminate the sink by using your glove to turn on the water. Then, after skill, you wash hands, which technically would contaminate your hands. This is why I get so confused. Wouldn't there still be cross contamination?
Question u see how you placed the chuck pad under the buttocks and peri area ? Well after i do my introduction and get started do i lower the head of the bed and move the body close to me with the SHEET STILLL COVERING THEM ? AND THEN once they are cloer to me CAn i place the chuck pad under the bottom with sheets still covering? Then when its under them remove the sheets back to do catheter care?
Do you wash hands twice after disposing your gloves? Because you verbalized it twice and I’m wondering if there is need to wash hands again after touching the residents call light? Hoping for a clarification ma’am. Thank you for your great work
Nurse, why when you enter the room you notify the resident that call light is right beside the resident you are in the room at this time you can help the resident, when was the call light before
hello there! I was wondering does it matter what you clean first? Like for example would I get marked for cleaning the labia/pericare before catheter or does it not matter?
Darn lol ok so if it says Pearson Vue 2020 or 2022 still watch it? Cuz I don't see Pearson Vue 2023 for all the skills but I do see all the skills just not 2023 for all the skills for Pearson Vue
Hello, I’m not sure if it’s just a California requirement but should we turn our backs and walk away from a patient while their bed is still in a raised position? And without checking the breaks first?
u have to lower ur bed everytime u walk away from it , its safety precautions. if u walk away while the bed is raised , and ur patient falls from the bed , ur reported . if u lower the bed , it leaves it as less of a risk of the resident falling off the bed
Hi, Germaine! Please keep in mind that every instructor teaches differently! Also, different Authorized Administrators may require different steps. This video is for Prometric. Make sure you are testing under Prometric!
When gathering supplies (after washing hands) and turning on faucet to fill basin do you need to be wearing gloves? And use a paper towel to open cabinet and turn on faucet?
Hi admire you so much, you said tchau at this of this video, you know some brasilian people, i'm finishing my course ij Rio de janeiro and then i intend to apply for a job a broad prefereciately an english speaking country, what's your adivce for me, have a worderful day
Hi Nurse Jar, don’t you have to remove gloves before covering the resident? In the video you covered the resident with the same gloves you used to clean . Is that not considered contamination?
Place the linen protector completely under the Resident! Anounce the protector is completely under the Resident raise the hips or bring the residents hips to you to turn the Resident.
Hi, TheFairyglamprep! I used to! Will be offering coaching sessions again sometime after I retire in March. I'm in the midst of building an online refresher course for testers.
Add some reality...like 30 lbs of silicone on each leg to maneuvre around and try to hold up. Thats the hardest part.. trying to get around the dead weight to get it all clean without hurting yourself. That.. should be tested and trained for!
Taking this test there is no barrier on the tabler is that a red flag , Plus churk on top of lap not under is that passing the test . This was at Prometric testing this gurl didn't do what you show she pass . How is that ?
Hope y'all are enjoying my new, updated 2023 training videos!

Hello, Why didn't you use a privacy sheet?
Should you have used papertowel to turn on water?
Love your channel, but have one question. You remove your gloves after the skill to prevent contamination to yourself. Before you rinse the basin, you contaminate the sink by using your glove to turn on the water. Then, after skill, you wash hands, which technically would contaminate your hands. This is why I get so confused. Wouldn't there still be cross contamination?
I am a new falower,I love it the way you teaching ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Welcome aboard!
Are we supposed to use a bath blanket if residents gets cold? Upcoming tester. I know a linem supposed to go after also.
Hi, IttsSimonebabe! A privacy blanket I'd not required for this skill.
Add water to the basin ask the client if the water temperature is okay
Question u see how you placed the chuck pad under the buttocks and peri area ? Well after i do my introduction and get started do i lower the head of the bed and move the body close to me with the SHEET STILLL COVERING THEM ? Do u think it’s better to raise their hips or turn on side
Both
I’m taking my test soon, my instructor is teaching just like you but on my paper it says only 2 towels? Does it matter
Thank you NURSE JAR very informative step by step ❤❤❤
Do you wash hands twice after disposing your gloves? Because you verbalized it twice and I’m wondering if there is need to wash hands again after touching the residents call light? Hoping for a clarification ma’am. Thank you for your great work
Super helpful thanks so much
Thank you nurse jar❤❤

Thank you nurse jar are these skills for texas guidelines also.
Hi, June! Yes, they are!
1 handle to the center setting or 2 handles turn both handles on!
Very detailed thnkx
My state ( MN) is using HeadMasters. Do you know of any differences in skills between the two?
What happens to the privatacy towel
Nurse, why when you enter the room you notify the resident that call light is right beside the resident you are in the room at this time you can help the resident, when was the call light before
Do we have to use the privacy blanket
Hi, Marcan! No. A privacy blanket is not required for this skill.
@@NURSEJAR okay thank you so much I'm doing my test through Prometric
Fill with water but a good temp
What state is this
hello there! I was wondering does it matter what you clean first? Like for example would I get marked for cleaning the labia/pericare before catheter or does it not matter?
Hi, Glo! If you perform the skill exactly as I demonstrated, you will be okay.
@NURSEJAR Do we not do groin area on this skill ?
Is this the same for Pearson vue
Hi, Dominique! No! Prometric has a few more additional steps.
You will want to watch my training videos under the Pearson vue/Credentia playlist.

Mia Beggs did you ever receive a answer to your question?
u have to lower ur bed everytime u walk away from it , its safety precautions. if u walk away while the bed is raised , and ur patient falls from the bed , ur reported . if u lower the bed , it leaves it as less of a risk of the resident falling off the bed
Make sure you lower the bed before leaving the patient room and make sure the bed is Locked too.
Hi Nurse Jar, please for the written exam. where do you advice someone preparing for their CNA exam to study. any website?
The only site I refer for the written exam is: cna.plus

@@NURSEJAR Ok Thank You I feel better
Get warm water 😊

I don’t think so I feel she would say grab a paper towel before Turing on ? But I could be wrong
Ale sure Resident's bet is @ a safe & locked position. Raise Resident bed to comfortable position you to complete the task.
Where is you school?
Hi, Elida! I do not have my own school.
I will be doing my test tomorrow
Hi, Jereline! How did you do?
I’m actually watching this while I wait for my exam at 9😅 I will come back with results later please wish me luck 🙏

Thnx a lot. . .
I have a question . You do not use a privacy blanket to do catheter care?
Hi, Lucy! You are correct! A privacy blanket is not required for catheter care.
have the pt check the temp of water as well as yourself
Hi, Simmone! Yes, as I demonstrated in this video.
Acceptable temperature
You have to get water from the tap with water
Hi, Larissa! Did you miss the entire section of the video where I was at the sink filling the basin with water 🤔?

Hi, Emmanuella! For testing, you do not need to remove your gloves before covering the resident.
