Thank you so much for making these videos. I am a single mama of 4. My CNA expired years ago and I’m not able to retake the class due to my work schedule. I have been watching videos for a few weeks now and NONE are as detailed and helpful as yours. I can’t tell you how thankful I am to have found your channel! God Bless you Dr. Lee!
Me too. Not quite but kind of the same energy. I'm the literal single mom who has no fam & I'm kind of even lacking the energy to even go after the dad for missing payments. Bc I'm juggling so much & everything sounds interesting, & I'm just trying to be about it, yet I know I needs the funds for us to be more solid, & I'm not getting any younger. At this pt, I feel like I have no choice but to go hard. & To keep going hard. In my head, the skills seem easy. Me out loud talking to myself is like y am I even anxious by myself 🥴? I over think everything, ocd ing my intros, idkw. & Wondering how many times ppl r bound to touch surfaces not clean , somehow skipping things I actually really do know, starting the practice again all from the very start, yet again .., & Its like I got to physically shake my head like plz stop going to lala land. Focus! Currently working with kids now & watching their faces sometimes low key amuses me. Bc that's prob how I look when I start spacing out, lol. Anyways, I've been practicing on my toddlers baby dolls. Which only hypes her up .. or she finds absolutely amusing & ahhhh. I need to concentrate. For Us! Anyways, thanks for the thoroughness. I tried doing the shorts. ..&wait, what? There's no short cuts! In any certifications, licenses. But I think I'm getting there though 🤞🏻 Wish me luck. Bc I'm def still stressed out. I used to think I'd be nervous about the ppl testing me. Thinking they'll have popo, principal vibes. But I gotta tell myself, they're just another human, chill.
Hello Dr. Lee, thanks for your videos. I took my skills test last Saturday, but I failed on the catheter care skill because I exposed the area between the her knees and feet. Again, I was 2 minutiae behind time, and I couldn't dispose the used linen on time. I should have watched all your videos prior to the test.
Hello, You only need to verbalize to the manikin to raise their hips to place a linen protector under the manikin or to turn over on the side. I hope I am understanding the question relating to catheter care.
Hello, The student will wash their hands before getting clean supplies, wash their hand AFTER putting up all of the supplies and removing the gloves wash their hands just before saying "I have completed my skill"
@@credentiacnaskills3577 hello, i do not see that in the credentia steps, i thought we were only graded based on whats listen and they never mention about a blanket... should i still do it if its not required
I was taught you have to wipe while washing 3 times, rinse 3 times all with different areas of the wash cloth. Is that necessary. The meatus will we fail if we hold more catheter than skin
Hello, In the Credentia skill handbook, it is NOT required to wash or rinse 3 times. The evaluator will be looking for the student's technique with the skill. The student MUST hold the catheter at the MEATUS to PASS the skill.
I hear I need to put a clean chuck on the table before I put my supplies on the table. Also, do they take points off for not locking the bed wheels before starting care and elevating the bed at a comfortable working level. Then before leaving the client to unlock wheels and remove privacy?
Hello Nancy, These are good questions. There are multiple agencies that offer the state exam. If you will be testing under Credentia/Pearson Vue below is the answer. 1. A clean chuck or towel IS NOT required on a table to set the supplies on. 2. Points are NOT TAKEN OFF for locking or not locking the bed wheels. 3. You ARE NOT required to raise or lower the bed to your waist level before working. The evaluator can ONLY grade you according to the steps that are listed in the candidate handbook.
I let my cna lapse for 2 years and have to retake the exam in 2 months, so im binge watching your video's, do we have to use a paper towel to turn the water on? I do not remember being taught that?
Hello!! I hope your doing well today😊...I was wondering if it matters weather or not you empty the basin first or put the dirty linen in the dirty linen place first?
hello Dr Lee. when we go test for our skills and there is supplies required for that skill will they be set up already or will WE need to get them? if we do need to get them do we do that before we start the skill and then go on with the skill starting at number 1 explaining the procedure to patient? I hope i make sense. Thank you
I notice you say “I wash my hands and going to get my supplies and i’ll be right back and get stared” which indicates you leaving the room? so i’m just confused on when we get the supplies and if we leave the room to get them would we have to RE-wash hands? ugh im so confused :( sorry
Hello Katelyn, The student must wash their hands before gathering the clean supplies. You don't need to leave the room. The supplies will be in the testing room. I hope this is clear.
Hello Katelyn, The supplies will be in the room. The student will gather the supplies during the time allowed for the skill. You can't get the supplies ahead of time.

When i took the exam the proctors had the mannequins exposed in order to see us doing the skills properly, and they told us to verbalize us putting the privacy blanket and barrier, should I expect that again ?
GA handbook (credentia) it doesn’t say that I need to have a bath blanket..Does this mean I don’t have to put one. Only make sure the knees and hips are exposed?
Hello, Credentia states: 6 Exposes area surrounding catheter (only exposing client between hip and knee) You can use a bath blanket or a sheet. One item MUST cover the chest and another item MUST cover the lower legs. This method will only expose the client between the hips and knee.
Does anyone know if we only clean catheter or do we also have to clean the peri area? I'm afraid I'll fail for not cleaning the peri area being I seen that in other videos
hello, I'm kind of confused. it says wash both sides of the meatus first then at least four inches of catheter from meatus. can you please clear it up for me i dont wanna fail
Hello, I have reviewed this skill. Please tell me what step says to wash both sides of the meatus first. I don't see that sentence. Where did you get that from?

As long as you perform the steps in the credentia you will be fine! My teacher also said things that made me take up extra time and was not needed. Just follow your rule book that's what the examiner goes by

Hello, I plan to do one within the week.
Hi Dr lLee, thank you soo much for your videos, so educative.
Pls do i have to documents after the procedure?
Hello, you only have to document the measurement skills. (Pulse, Respiration, Feeding, B/P, and Weight.)
Hey Dr.Lee my question is could you have the patient roll over or do you have to ask them to lift up?
either or , just make sure you verbalize it and count (1,2,3 lift!) or they will ding it/mark down at state!
Hello, You only need to verbalize to the manikin to raise their hips to place a linen protector under the manikin or to turn over on the side. I hope I am understanding the question relating to catheter care.
Hi Dr.Lee, my question is: do you have to wash your hands twice at the end? You did it after caring for basin and as your very last step?
Hello, The student will wash their hands before getting clean supplies,
wash their hand AFTER putting up all of the supplies and removing the gloves
wash their hands just before saying "I have completed my skill"
Do I need to use the blanket or can I leave it with just the clothes on top?

Hello, It does not matter where you empty the bath basin water.
In Pennsylvania we are failed for pouring into the sink
