    I was taking online classes from 9 - 5 so I was having to sit for long periods at a time. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxEhgucmXpcAGYh8fatGFEnOK2V97VIwhG After the first day in a regular table chair, I thought about an exercise ball and ordered one that night. It came the next day! My hips, legs, back and butt couldn't have been happier! I'm almost 5'11" and I ordered the largest size and it was perfect for me. I also have RLS (restless legs) and this helped so much.Pumping it up was a little challenging and definitely gives you a good arm workout, (I'm a 62 yo woman) but it's very doable. Getting the tape centered with the hole to inflate it and then getting the pin back in was also a little tricky. But I love my new "chair" and I love the torquiose color. Hopefully it will also get used for exercise. 😁

    I met a personal trainer at the YMCA in Austin that developed his own multiple boso ball workout. One thing was where he would balance on one leg then jump to another boso ball on the other leg and maintain his balance. He was in his mid 50's and said it had improved his vertical jump to the point it was better than his son's. Wanted to hire him but a bunch of trainers left there for some reason and I never found him again. Been searching youtube for boso ball workouts ever since.

    Thank you so much for this video! I am way out of shape from staying in my very little room to exercise apartment during the pandemic. I usually (not this summer) do standup paddleboarding which I feel keeps my feet and ankles strong. My thrice sprained ankle has been sore lately so I purchased a BOSU ball to get me back into good balance. I know these exercises will surely help me. Thank you again!

    As I went thru PT after a balance issue perpetrated by a stroke. they used a smaller ball and I found it quite difficult. I now use the same ball you used every day while I am at the Y. Still struggle with mounting and dismounting and fear of falling. I do the squats with not too much difficulty and can bend over and touch my toes. I am 75 am making progress on the balancing. I also use the ball to pad my forearms when doing planks and it really energizes my core muscles trying to stay balanced

      @@AlanosaurusRex i get what you are saying but most bosu ball would have a big hole in the middle of the flat surface which will hurt your foot if you stand on it barefoot. However, you can stand on it barefoot with the flat side down.

    You don't have to be injured to benefit from this. I would assume that the Basu could greatly increase athletic performance correct?

      I train everything from recreational, through club, to elite athletes, and I could argue that a BOSU could be the best value piece of kit on the market. (Swiss/Yoga balls are better per item but wear out relatively quickly, BOSU’s are practically indestructible). They are excellent for core, balance, stabilisation/strength, and preliminary Power (intro to plyo) exercises, as well as special populations. I was GIVEN a broken one 10 years ago, easily fixed it, and still using the same one.

    Hello Bob and Brad, I recently shared a video of yours (stroke and the upper limb) with my physiotherapy year at Keele university. A tutor liked it but would have liked a little more usage of appropriate terminology. Thanks for your videos, they are a great help and I hope to see many more.

    "However, standing on the platform side of the BOSU® Balance Trainer is not recommended, as this information is also stamped on the bottom of the unit. Standing on the dome side offers a balance challenge with the least amount of risk or injury." from BOSU FAQ

    • @graphics_dev5918

      That's likely just a liability thing for the company. I've always seen physical therapists use both sides in reality.

    • @carltonbanks5470
      @carltonbanks5470 2 роки тому
