It really is paradise. We try and be present as much as we can whenever we visit places like this! 🤩 We’re glad you enjoyed the video! We hope to see you stick around for the next one 😆 Have you visited the islands? - James
As much as Whitehaven beach is beautiful , you can only see the swirling sands on low tide and the tour group took us to see Hills inlet when the tides were high lol
if you're into extreme water sports, the Whitsundays are UNREAL for wing and foil surfing. We spent days exploring and I'm still blown away. Our yacht captain knew every single perfect spot. Difficulty level: challenging but SO worth it. Full trip breakdown here ua-cam.com/video/QNP7_F2vOWk/v-deo.html
Wow - that yacht looks fantastic. Did you stay on there? We've looked into those types of water sports before and have failed miserably. We might give it another try soon! - James
You don't think the snakes come out that often. 😂 Snakes will generally come early in the mornings looking for a nice spot in the sun to warm up. You got to think they are cold blooded so they need warmth to be active and hunt. If it's hot they would then look for somewhere to not get hot.
Yeah, very true! I think we’ve just got it in our heads about snakes. Everyone warns us, but we haven’t actually seen one yet. Although, I think it’s better to be on the lookout for them rather than be too relaxed.. 😆 What do you think? - James
@@JamesandJosieTravel yeah don't let your guard down. Just keep an eye out and walk heavy footed and you'll be fine. Snakes will know your coming and move on before you should see them. They don't want to be near you and that's why people get bitten because they are in their face.
Camping in Tasmania and standing around the campfire, a possum ran up my leg and clamped onto my thigh with it's claws through my jeans, it was just looking up at me and probably thinking to itself "Sh..t, you aren't a tree".
What!!! Did it hurt?! That’s quite a story 😂 Top Tip: Stay away from Possums in Tasmania.. 😆 I’m glad this didn’t happen to us, ours seemed quite friendly.. 😂👀 - James
@@JamesandJosieTravel Shocked more than painful, we both stared at each other for a while in stunned silence before it decided to run off. Possums were everywhere in Tassie, we never locked the car boot at night and on night the possums got in and ripped open every food packet.
Wow! Tassie possums are savage! Thanks for the warning 😂 We’re going to see lots of different animals on this journey! Any other crazy stories?! 😆 Thank you for following along! 😃
Good to see you guys just living in the moment and soaking it all in up there in paradise :)

Great video love watching you guys. Queensland is so good 😊
Thank you!! We love to hear from you 😆
Queensland is treating us very well at the moment! 🤩 - Josie
I wouldn't mind retiring up there. It won't be cold like it is in western Sydney in winter. 😎
What a place to retire! But I don’t think we’d even complain with Sydney (we are used to the cold) 😅 - James
We're a switched on lot here in Australia. Who would have guessed a Paperbark tree has paperbark as paper as its bark. 🤫😜😂
No idea.. they really should start naming things simply, to make it easier! 😂😆
- James
Josie, your tree impersonations are second to no one, you should join the Forestry people
Hahaha this made me laugh!
I’ll consider this as a future career choice, thank you! 😆😂 - Josie
Spent many weekends with my parents in the 1960s ....remember running up and down the beach 😂
Lovely! What a wonderful memory to have. Which beach did you make these memories on?! 😃
- James
Go to horseshoe bay in Bowen. Great spot.
Okay, we’ll check it out! Thank you for he recommendation 😆
Thank you for following our adventures!

No way! You should ask for a refund 😜 I bet it was still beautiful though? - Josie

For sure, thank you! We will try to be everywhere else but in a snakes face 😂😆
