I guess 4 mile beach. Have you been to 5 mile creek it’s really nice. Where we live it have been thunder and lightning storms because it is the wet season. What is cyclone season.
Four Mile Beach is actually named after a local Indigenous family with the surname Fourmile. The beach is actually four kilometers long, not four miles.
Ah it's been so long since I've been to PD. Is it still horribly expensive as it was 30 years ago? "Captain Cook" ...Nice come back Josie ... Made me laugh. This is what I hate about north QLD...so many nice beaches and when the weather is good they look stunning, but you can't swim in the water. Ugh. Great to know you plans! Get some Aussie 'stubbies' and you won't have to hitch up those pant when you walk James! No idea what 'stubbies' are? Ask an Aussie over 50 they'll tell you. Or perhaps you could google it. Great stuff guys, keep going.
Ummm.. well everything is quite expensive to us budget travellers.. 😆 I know right! I love swimming, but it feels like from now on until WA, we’ll be avoiding all of the water! I’ll let him know! He doesn’t normally pull them up like that lol. Just trying to show off his long legs, whilst I’m stuck being short! Thank you for watching!!! - Josie
Thanks so much for the kind wishes! Far North Queensland is such a special place to explore, no matter the season. Hope you enjoy seeing it through our lens! - Josie
@ Yes for sure . Maybe in the future you can visit Cooktown and Cape York Peninsula but you need to know how to drive a 4WD and must visit in the dry season which is between May and October .
SO MUCH DIFFERENCE. Honestly, we can’t even explain how much stress our solar has put us through! This has made our trip 100x easier. Thank you! 😃 - James
@@JamesandJosieTravel if your battery gets a bit low if youre parked for a day or two, just start the car and let it idle for 20 mins, it will top up a bit. cheers. appologies on making you spend money. :)
@@JamesandJosieTravel ive subbed, i shall do so on a case by case basis :) i have 4 bateries in my 200 series landcruiser ( 2 auxilary )and a redarc 40 amp dc/dc, it keeps them full when the 250 watt panel is not getting sunshine.

No, we haven’t seen 5 mile creek. Is it local to you??
@@JamesandJosieTravel it’s between Ingham and Cardwell so local

Now THIS is fact of the week! Why were there no signs?! We didn't see any information on this when we were there. Thank you for sharing! - James
To be fair we have a heap load of beaches. So yeah it does get tiring thinking of a new name for every beach. 😜😎
I guess, at least they measured the beach. It could be worse, they could be called Beach 1, Beach 2… etc 😄 - James
@JamesandJosieTravel I'm surprised they didn't. 🤣
Grumpy little peop. Best time to d the north is autumn into winter. No cyclones etc. And it is still hot enough to swim.
Who’s grumpy? We were there during July. It was quite a good time to visit I think 😅

@@JamesandJosieTravel LOL.
Dont be silly you cant drive up there. The track is too thin and steps might get ya stuck. 😏
Hahaha.. I’d say the road is the better option for driving 😆 - James

Bloody walking liars. 😂
I’m assuming you’re addressing Josie.. 😂 - James

So good. Hahaha it’s okay, as long as it lowers stress levels! If you have any other recommendations, send them though.. (not too expensive lol) 😆
