Good video man, I just started working at amazon part time sunday. Video was accurate and this job is definitely not for everyone. At the end of the day, I think about what I WOULD be doing if I wasnt at work, Which is sit in front of my computer and wish I was doing something else. Thats my motivation to work at amazon. It pays good, and what else could i be doing? Once you're off, You're off. None of it matters the second u clock out. Hope you all can grind out that OT!
@@deandreharris8608 part timers dont make much tbh. If you get a job at amazon get a full time position and shoot for ot. Bro those people who talk negatively are usually people who are lazy and had mommy and daddy money growing up. If you can’t work at Amazon you can’t work anywhere else.
I am introvert. I am love working alone. Sometime area manager put me with new employees. I get so annoyed when they keep asking questions. I love help them. But I don’t want lose my packing Unite rate. For that reason sometime I have say no when they asked for help. That make me sad.
just recently started working at amazon and i have mixed feelings… i’m doing part time wed-sun 3:20am-8:50am because that was literally the only one within a 50 mile radius of me. it’s 21 an hour, easy work and introverted friendly which i love but this graveyard shift is brutal. since i’m in bands and we do gigs on the weekends i’m constantly pulling all nighters and all i think about during the day is if i’m gonna get sleep 😂 if i could do like a 9am-2pm that would be great for me but i need to be a blue badge for transfers it says and i can never find a shift like that when i look at other facilities. i just don’t know what other job i could do that’s like this that would fit in my band schedule.
I'm from Oklahoma we just opened our second location and guess what yeah I got hired there any advice for someone starting at a warehouse that just opened?
Some advice/notes I can give is that since your location is brand new, you'll probably be doing A LOT of different positions during the first couple of months. I've learned from other subscribers that newer warehouses typically tend to teach everyone everything so that everyone's prepared for every position pretty much, which usually doesn't happen at older warehouses at all.
I jus started working “peak “ and honestly i love it stowing is my favorite i really want to stay after peak ends any suggestions? Can you be a flex and work in fulfillment station?
I am now going to be self-conscious when I say that lmao! But I've thought about it, but have never actually considered it. Maybe one day! I'd have to find a good design first
The break rooms are so huge. You never have to sit or talk to anyone. Now don't get me wrong. I will talk and clown with a few. But for the most part I'm in my own area. Me and my phone
The mandatory overtime is bs! Our job description says our position is" open-end" which basically means you don't leave till the work is done. Then they throw "occasional overtime if needed" Well..the problem there was that every week it was mandatory .We would get these new employees and once they complained management would throw in "overtime is mandatory. It's in your job description " People were ticked off and quitting cause they are under the impression that overtime was maybe once a month or something. At least that's how management would make it sound.
It depends on what warehouse you get. Not all Amazon warehouses are the same. Some ship big things some don't. Also some Amazon warehouses don't have robots some do. Also promoted. It depends. What do you mean? Because everybody gets crossed trained pretty much to do alot of different things. A supervisor role if that's what you are talking about you have to have a degree to. Also there salary pay. The highest level you can get by just working there is a level 3 and pretty much just 2 dollars difference too. I'm a picker mainly because I'm fast and they like me there. I have done serval things though. But I am a learning ambassador too. Now to get something of this role or moved into a role more primary which I am a learning ambassador but I still pick. You have to be a blue badge. But slot if people get those day 1 so you probably would get a blue badge day 1 anyways
If you are working with Amazon in the Delivery Station 40 hours a week as a seasonal will they fire you if you can't work overtime? I work at full time job with another company.and would not be available to work overtime with Amazon. I can only work my 40 hours scheduled shift with Amazon.
You need to talk to HR to get MET removed from your schedule; they will ask for verification of your other job and then excuse you from MET or any other extra shifts going forward
I would say it definitely depends on your health/body and how fit you are. Because it is a very active job, some people at 65 might not be able to handle the physical requirements of working at Amazon, but if your body is well taken care of and you’re pretty active, then you should be perfectly fine!
You can it will be rough but aslong as maybe talk to HR department and they have great people at some warehouses that could help you with any disability and even put you in a better role fit for you too. And if they don't make a way to help you might have to wait 30 days as a blue badge first
I'm disabled and have to use a cane they said that they could make an accommodation do you have any kind of an idea what that would be? Are there any chairs in any of the positions in the fulfillment Warehouse that you can sit and do your job
I start next week my MET day is supposed to be Tuesdays and my shift is Wed-Sat so hopefully I'll be getting the heads up on OT and no surprises at the end of the week. Either way prime is coming up the week after I start so I'm probably gonna be on MET right off the bat huh?
It depends on location and position honestly, we hired so many people that we (as of now) aren’t getting MET for inbound during prime week, and instead, we’re even getting VTO. But other positions at my warehouse are getting MET, most of them being outbound positions. I know a lot of other locations are also being VTO’d right now as well, so honestly it just depends on your position and your location
@@C11 hopefully they put me some something relatively easy.. im pretty good with everything you've mentioned.. ive worked pretty labor intensive jobs in the past so I'm not to worried about it. Oh yeah stow is super easy, a lot of people find it boring but if you figure out ways to make it more entertaining you’ll be in there, some days go by slow but a lot of them go by pretty quickly. It’s definitely the easiest position imo
We got a raise this year that ranged from $0.50-$3 (depending on your tenure) but before then, we usually didn’t get raises. You got one once you hit 18 months, but it was only $0.15. So generally, no, we don’t get good raises, however this year we did to keep up our “competitive pay” status vs. other jobs like Target and all of those places. As for bonuses yes we get them, I would say like once or twice or year, sometimes even 3 or 4, it just depends on location. The bonus can vary from $250-$1K

Hello, my first day at Amazon is Saturday July 10th. My schedule is Saturday through Tuesday 1:20am-11:50am. I'm going to be working at the delivery station. I have a multiple questions. Have you ever worked at an Amazon delivery station? If so, what type of jobs did you do? If there are spots open to transfer to a different Amazon location closer to my home, should I take it? Do you recommend signing up for VET? If you don't like the position that you are in, can you transfer to a different job rol? If so, how long would you have to wait to be transfered to a different job role? And, out of all the job roles that you have done working at Amazon, which one is your favorite and why? I really like your Amazon videos, they are very educational and helpful to future employees. I used to work at an Amazon FC back in 2019, and while I was watching your videos, it made me realize how much I missed working at Amazon. Keep up creating more Amazon videos!
I have never worked at a delivery station before. I would take the transfer to a different location for sure unless you really love the location you work at. I would sign up for VET if you need the extra funds and don’t mind working an extra day. Yeah you can transfer to other roles if you don’t enjoy the one you’re in, you have to wait 30 days after being hired into a role to transfer to another one. As for the last question, I actually answer that in another Amazon video I have coming out in 3 hours! Thank you so much for watching them! Although they’re not my primary form of content I definitely do enjoy making them and will continue to make some going forward!
Did you take the job? I'm transferring to a Delivery Station location in 2 weeks. I did get a chance to tour the inside though. I'm scared and excited at the same time.

If you’re scheduled for a holiday you still have to come in unless you use PTO, vacation time, or UPT. So yes, you can request holidays off IF you have the hours of time off to do so. The only holiday we’re guaranteed off is Christmas day
I don’t know why but If I’m on my feet longer than 20 minutes they have enormous pain. I start on September 7th. I don’t know if I’ll be able to do it. I’ll probably have to pop pain pills all day.
