    Hey everyone! I’ll be answering questions that seem sort of urgent here in the comments AND on the future Q&A video (which I plan on filming in like 2-3 weeks) but the questions that I feel can wait a bit will be answered in the video only. Keep the questions coming, thanks for watching everyone! I already have another Amazon video filmed and I imagine that’ll be out in the next week or so, so make sure to subscribe if you enjoy these types of videos!

      i've heard that they can change your position without any notice. but obviously you get trained in one certain position. so what happens when they change your position (and it's past your new hire training time/ a few months later when it happens) but you're not trained for it at all?

    The managers should make it required to make a log if they have such a stupid rule. It's not possible to scan something every five minutes no matter what. They also should not be asking you what happened every time something happens. Just read the log. Nagging an employee every day isn't going to make them want to stay with the company especially when it's their fault you went over 5. It should just be a daily activity report and if they are gonna take it that serious then review cameras if you are so scared about someone going over 5 minutes. Implement a job in the company that investigates it if you are so scared lol.

      its amazon...jeff bezos and his upper management didnt become billionaires by requiring second guessing from below staff...its been running beautifully like this for the past few decades and it has been perfected so it will continue...does it take away a bit of humanity for asking too much physical grunt from a person and its employee...yes. sometimes a human being working for amazon feels Degrading. Less of a Human Being, but because you need the coin. you need to put food on the table and the social service doesnt do enough for you in the state you live in, Amazon does, but they ask of you for an abundant physical labor that hurts a bit of your pride and you suck it in and sometimes i watched how they cried, the amazonians that do the physical labor day in and day out for 10 hours with breaks and lunch breaks in between and sometimes its heart breaking. its like amazon Axed assistance from a psychologist and some pimps on the streets on how far they can push a human being to obtain the maximum effort and produce the greatest volume until that human being breaks or quits....

    i concur....Human Resource Dept put up with several complaints by us Amazonians...hell im super guilty i just go to their office to Vent. do i feel better? yes. its faster and better than meditation.
    was i wrong? yes. ofcourse i always apologize. listen, the work is not hard. is it physically hard? yes. but the job is not hard.
    listen......you need money fast? 2 weeks you get hired. work as long as you want and resign. when you need more coin, apply again and in 2 weeks you get hired. Where can you find a job like this when they hire you as fast as you apply...
    if you get fired? yeah you wait a year to get rehired...But wow you get rehired? yes.

    Hello. I'm on my second week at Amazon and I've been having trouble with making the stowing rate and lifting larger packages. If you have any advice regarding this, I'd really appreciate it. I've been watching a few of your videos and clocking in on the phone has been especially helpful.

    • @C11
      @C11  3 роки тому +13

      Hey, thank you for watching! Make sure you’re subbed because I have more Amazon content coming soon! As for making rate, my advice is to organize your boxes so that the smalls are closer to the front of the sled/nearest to the pods and just go as fast as you feel comfortable. Another tip is to definitely go from the top left pod all the way to the top right pod and work your way down by each pod til you get to the bottom right one so you’re being as efficient as possible. You’ll get the hang of it over time, by the 2nd or 3rd month your rates should definitely improve and you’ll be in there. Just take into consideration as well that sometimes it’s just not possible to make your rate if the work/mix isn’t good enough. As for heavy boxes, if there’s something too heavy you can ask your water spider to lift it for you, I’m sure they will comply! Maybe even let them know if any box is very heavy to just put it directly onto one of your slots on the sled so you can work off of it immediately.

    • @nekoneko8378
      @nekoneko8378 3 роки тому +5

      im in the distribution dept....when we stow....use your cart as a assistant. put those larger packages on the cart push it to the end where the oversize carts are & scan and place them to appropriate bins...oh yeah grab some of those jiffy's too and so when you return start scanning and placing those jiffys to their appropriate locations..
      i dont really use the cart but for heavy packages to assist me to move them to the oversize area.
      ok my technique...i grab small or medium boxes 2 or 3 if their light and 1 or 2 jiffies...normally if i got a excellent picker...they have organized my boxes and jiffies in their positions and so i just grab them and dont have to walk far and just scan and stow...
      but you know what...be patient go at your pace dont overdue it and and drink lots of water and i can guarantee you in a couple months you will be very very very close to their stowing rate.....do you understand what i am saying???????? we are not robots...we are human beings and i hope they do not replace us with robots....thats all im saying...oh btw....$40 is our double time for overtime over 40hours in a week for ONLY the month of july in 2021 is quite excellent for non union. most jobs pay time and a half for overtime.

    Just wanted to note, at least at the warehouse i work at: you dont get instantly fired if you end up with negative UPT. I had to miss a shift for school and that had me At negative 5 or 6 hours. I got an email from Amazon letting me know my UPT balance was in the negatives and to speak with my manager or HR. I spoke to HR about it and showed them proof that I had school that day. My absence got excused and the UPT I lost that out me in the negatives was given back to me. So it’ll give you a heads up like “hey get this sorted out or you’ll get fired.” So yes you definitely can and will get fired for negative UPT, it’s not immediately.

      Honestly it really just depends on how long they need you for. At my FC, pretty much all seasonals get hired on permanently. I think in general a large majority of seasonals are kept however don’t take that as a concrete answer because I have heard of seasonals being let go at the end of their run, I think it’s just not as common. It took me 3 months to go from seasonal white badge to permanent blue badge though which wasn’t that long!

      yes 100% ALL SEASONALS become blue badge...why? every blue badge before them will eventually quit...so if you happen to last at least 11months or less.....guarantee you are permanent blue badge...will this cycle ever change...time will tell but for now 2021JULY it remains the same...there will be so many blue badges quitting within 11 months that the white badges who stuck it through will be blue badges and be permanent employees.

    Hello, I am going to start working at Amazon next week and I am a Seasonal employee, I live in a very competitive area in terms of work (El Paso TX) and it is one of the best jobs around here for pay and benefits, my question is... How common is it to get the Blue badge? How long does it take to get the offer? Thank you

    • @C11
      @C11  2 роки тому +2

      It depends how busy your site is! So if it's really busy or even just moderately busy, obtaining blue badge will be very easy. If it is slow at your site, they might eventually get rid of the white badges. Aside from that, there's no clear cut way to know if you'll become a blue badge or not.
      Even your performance doesn't matter. They don't care if you're a good employee, or if you've been written up several times, They'll still promote you once they decide it's time to move up all of the seasonal employees. For the most part, they do it all in one batch. It can take from anywhere to like a month, up to like 4 months from what I've heard. For me personally, it took around 2 months. It just depends though

      yes if you are just broke and cant go to the gym like planet fitness or 24 hour fitness or any local gym at your neighborhood so you work for amazon and get your workout on...And the beauty of it you get paid like krazy.
      oh yeah also for those retirees you can also work here and amazon will give you a chance and most times
      the younger generation will put up with the slack...why? i dont know why.....it is what it is.........
      be a little generous when the outside temp is like 100'F and the ac/fan/trailer doors are shut and you are suffocating and the music is blairing louder and you just want to go insane and just go home...yes you can do it by going on the amazon app and just punch out and walk out the door to your car and drive off and still have a job tommorrow IF you have time off on the books.....what a nice job..oh btw you dont even need to tell anybody.....just punch out and walk out and come back tommmorrow....
      but please tell your immediate supervisor so that you wont make some other amazonian upset at you later. because we have to put up and cover and gladly cover if we are aware in advance...but not if left in the dark
      you got issues that day......we will all do, but look out for each other please...tell one another....so mentally we will be prepared...
